I write zines and novels that have a unique mix of fantasy, humor and nihilism. I have participated in the National Novel Writing Month (50 thousand words in 30 days) since 2008 and have finished every year. I like to write books that I would actually want to read and my first rule: don't bore the reader.
My latest finished work is called the Times of Clouds and Sun which can be accessed via my Patreon.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Hair metal was a wormhole for every midwestern kid who was too naïve to understand why he wasn’t happy…I may have been a loser, but Vince and Axl and Ozzy were too cool for me. They allowed me to live a life I would never see, and I never had to leave my bedroom.”

Lies My Teacher Told Me by James W. Loewen
"The original Lies My Teacher Told Me is one of my favorite non-fiction books of all time (I own two copies – one 1995 first edition and one later revision), so I was super excited to see a graphic novel adaptation pop up on NetGalley. I don't read a " Read more of this review »

“The other night I lost consciousness. When I finally came to, it was morning. I spent the next 8 and a half hours doing things I didn’t really feel like doing, but was compelled to do anyway. (Evidentially I receive something known as “financial Compensation” for this.) Eventually I was allowed to return home, where I recovered from the ordeal. I’m just afraid of what happens tonight, if I lose consciousness again. I have this fear that somehow this will start the process all over again.”

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”
Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
