The Dorking chicks I ordered arrived...
The Dorking chicks I ordered arrived this morning. At 6:14 a.m. the post master at our post office called to let us know they had arrived. I promptly drove down and brought them home. Normally I bicycle to the post office, but it was only 34° this morning and I didn’t want the chicks to get cold on the back of my bicycle on the ride home.
The chicks took to their new mothers and it didn’t take long for the mothers to treasure the little ones under their feathers. This is the first time I’ve put hatchlings under brooding hens. Usually I let the hens hatch eggs, but I had no luck finding Dorking eggs for sale. It is night time now and the chicks are snuggled under their mothers for a good night’s rest. If all goes well, in three to seven days, the mothers should be taking the chicks out of the nursery to explore the world.
I’ve read that Dorkings also make good mothers so hopefully in a few years there will be plenty of Dorking and Dorking crossed here.

What you’ll need:
·A coin
·Clear glue
·A cheesy fanfic extract
·A pendant ring (from crafts sotres)1. Take a paragraph from your favorite fanfic or book and print it or photocopy it. Make sure your printer is not in “Draft” mode.
2. Clean the coin completely and place it just where you want it to be, over what you want to have in the pendant.
3. Cut roughly around that specific spot. Cover the coin with glue and paste it behind the text, using the light against it to guide you.
*If your paper isn’t thick enough, you may want to paste a blank piece of paper underneath your text as a base.4. Cut out the surplus.
5. Put just a little bit glue over the text, spread it outwars and let it dry.
6. Add a thick, thick layer of glue. This will act as the acrylic that will protect your pendant once it’s completely dry. I suggest you to let it dry overnight.
If you want to, you can add a second layer once the first one is dry. This will make it look more… real.Finally, paste the pendant ring on the back of the coin.
Warnings:
·Try avoiding smut. You don’t want to walk around with the word “pounding” hanging from your neck, do you?
·If anyone asks about it, try not to panic and hide it underneath your shirt.
·Be prepared for fangirling outbrusts. Just thinking that you have your OTP in your necklace may give you feels.

A Dunkleosteus stops for a rest on the sea floor. Because I don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture of it doing anything other than swimming menacingly, hunting other creatures, or (much less commonly) breaching.
Dunkleosteus was one of the largest of a group of armoured early fish called placoderms, reaching a length of up to 10m (33ft). It was quite widespread in the seas 380–360 million years ago, and was one of the first vertebrate apex predators.
It didn’t have teeth in its jaws, instead using bony plates to form a self-sharpening crushing beak-like structure — and giving it one of the strongest bite forces of any known animal.
The heavy armour plating on its head probably meant that it wasn’t a fast swimmer, suggesting that it was either an ambush hunter or it’s prey just wasn’t very fast either.
