The Elphite Cover Reveal!

Just an update on my latest novel. The cover is now ready to be revealed! And here it is:

 

It will be launched officially on the 21st December 2012 (yes, I am launching my book on the last day of the Mayan calendar!) and the launch party will be held at Peace of Stone in Monmouth. It will be available as a paperback and on Kindle and Smashwords.

The Cheltenham Mind, Body & Soul Weekend

On the 20th and 21st October (this weekend!!) I will be in the beautiful Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham. I will have a stand at the Mind, Body & Soul Weekend to sell my books and cards, and I’m very much looking forward to it!

I did my writing 4Sight at the Ross on Wye 4Networking meeting yesterday, and had a fantastic time! I didn’t do the full monty, though Phil did mention an author who likes to write in the nude…

Anyway! Crazy hats were worn by all, giving us the feeling that we were truly in Ross Vegas, and the Elvis impressions by Mick, and singing by Karen also got us into the mood!

Just thought I’d share a few crazy photos, and also mention as a disclaimer that not all 4Sights are as crazy as mine, so please don’t let that put you off visiting a 4Networking meeting

Smashwords

I have been meaning to make my books available on Smashwords for quite some time now, and I have finally got round to formatting them and uploading them to the site. You can view my page here. I have so far uploaded Choose Your Own Reality, Heaven Dot Com and The Doorway to PAM. I will be uploading The Earth Angel Training Academy and The Earth Angel Awakening very soon! On Smashwords you can buy books in ever conceivable format, so no matter what e-reader you have, you will find something compatible.

In other updates, after the success of the Mind Body Spirit Fayre at the Speech House Hotel, Yvonne and Gary are holding another Fayre, in Ross on Wye Conservative Club on Saturday the 3rd November from 10am to 5pm. I will be there selling my books, so come along and say hello!

Back to the formatting now, my life is still very busy, and I have today to catch up with my to-do list. Hope you are having a great week so far!

A Mad Weekend!

Well. Last weekend was a whirlwind of events! It started off with my Are you an Earth Angel? 4sight at the 4N meeting in Monmouth. It went very well, though after the raucous laughter at the Chepstow meeting, I wasn’t prepared to just have my audience sit quietly and listen avidly to my every word… but judging by the thoughtful questions and hugs afterwards, I think it was enjoyed by all. Friday night, was the Psychic Evening with Ray Ball. Myself and seven friends gathered in John and Annette‘s yurt to have readings from Ray. The atmosphere was lovely, and everyone loved the yurt, especially my sister, Liz! Everyone was very impressed with Ray’s accurate readings, and loved his genuine and lovely nature. Ray told me lots of amazing things that are going to happen in my life in the next 15 months, I will let you know if they happen! (Aww, come on, you didn’t think I was going to tell you what he said, did you??)

On Saturday, the Mind Body Spirit fair in Gloucester was not very well attended, and due to a bad sore throat I cut it short and headed home around 3pm. Did meet a few nice people though, and spent some more time with my friend Jasmine

The Mind Body Spirit fair at the Speech House Hotel on Sunday made up for it though, with people coming through the door at 10am! It was busy all day, and I spoke to lots of Earth Angels. Sold quite a few books, and also did a workshop on Earth Angels too. Yvonne and Gary, the organisers, will be doing another Mind, Body and Spirit fair in November, I will keep you posted on when that will be!

Once in a Blue Moon…

Since the blue moon at the end of August, my life has suddenly become a hive of activity. I’ve literally never been so busy before. Ever. Just the thought of the events I have planned for the next few weeks has my head spinning.

This weekend, for example. Tomorrow (Friday 21st) I am doing my Earth Angel 4Sight for the Monmouth 4N group. Then I am meeting the Modern Day Poet himself, to discuss the possibility of literary events in the future. Then in the evening I have arranged an evening with Ray Ball, for my friends to have readings with him.

On Saturday, I am at the Fox & Elm pub in Gloucester, for a Mind Body Spirit fair, where I will be selling my books and cards.

On Sunday, I am at another Mind Body Spirit fair, this time in the Speech House Hotel, in Coleford. I will be selling my books and also doing a talk in the afternoon, about Earth Angels.

The next few weeks will be continuing in this busy fashion, and I am also of course working on The Elphite, which will be released on the 20th December, (the countdown has begun!) I will also be working on my next novel, by taking part in the November Nanowrimo.

I know. At some point I will have to sleep, eat, etc. But at the moment, I’m just enjoying the wild ride!

The PENfro Book Festival

Just spent a lovely weekend in West Wales, visiting family and also taking part in the book fair at the PENfro Book Festival. I met some wonderful people, most of whom were Earth Angels!

Angels, Faeries, Old Souls and Starpeople… it was fantastic. I met a fellow Mystic Angel, Helena Mallett, who has written a fab  book called 75 x75 = Flash Fraction. She’s written 75 short stories of 75 words each that despite their brevity manage to have some surprising twists!

I’m inspired!

I watched Wayne Dyer’s ‘Excuses Begone’ DVD today. And the most inspiring part of it was the performance on the drums by Dan Caro.  I won’t repeat his story here, please go to his website or watch the video below. But I will say this, what Dan Caro experienced as a young child was horrific, and yet he views it as a gift. A gift that has enabled him to live up to his highest potential.

If we could see our obstacles and problems as gifts, then our lives could be as amazing as his.

I would also like to mention another inspirational man, who also lived life to the full, Tinka Mann. Tinka was a very happy, cheerful man, who created some fantastic pieces of art at Swancrafts Studio in Monmouth. Sadly, he has just passed away, but he will always be remembered as an inspiration to everyone who met him.

Perhaps my stories about alternate realities aren’t so far-fetched after all…

Just watched this awesome video of a TED-x talk, would thoroughly recommend it. He held my attentions for the whole 14 minutes, which is saying something!

No fingernails left…

I’m waiting at the moment to receive feedback from four people who are reading the first draft of The Elphite right now. I know I will have to be patient, it may be a few days before they get back to me, but I’m quite nervous to see what they think!

With less than three months until my intended release date, there’s not much time to work on it, so let’s hope that they like it! I also have Alex Watts working on the cover for it, very excited to see what he designs.

I’ve also decided to write my next book in November for Nanowrimo. It’s going to be another stand-alone story. There will be more Earth Angel books, but not until Spring next year at the earliest.

At the moment I am enjoying a very chilled out weekend, the calm before the madness that is the rest of September. I will be posting details about my next events soon.
