Jaybee in June: Smut by the Sea, ETO Show, and Tantus!
Here we are, half way through the year, and over a week into June already- and the busiest time of the year for me has well and truly begun!
With Knowing Her Place, the final part of The Perfect Submissive Trilogy on the e-shelves (paperback release date coming soon), and my latest romance as Jenny Kane penned, I’m madly writing as many short stories as I can in-between heading off on my travels!
This coming Friday I’ll be catching a train that will take me from the bottom of England to almost the top! It’s Smut by the Sea time! This is the first time I’ve made it to this event, and I can’t wait!
Not only will there be writing workshops to attend, there will be a host of stalls from which to buy goodies (including my very own Kay Jaybee stall!), and lots of delicious readings to listen to- and yes, I will be hosting those- and yes, I will be timing them carefully- so watch out if you’re reading and you go over the 5 minute time limit…
****
So that’s this coming weekend sorted- but hang on a minute- is it even worth me heading back to the South West?
On the 22nd June, I’m both delighted and flattered to be able to say that I will be attending the ETO Show at the NEC Birmingham, and then the ETO Awards ceremony in the evening- where- amazingly- I am up for Best Erotica Writer! And what company I’m in!
I am so excited about heading to Birmingham- for I’ll be chilling with my fellow Brit Babes, and wonderful friends Kd Grace (fellow nominee), Tabitha Rayne, Victoria Blisse and Lexie Bay- win or lose, I’m going to have a fantastic time!!
****
Today I’m staying closer to home. My words however are flying across the Atlantic. For my very first article in for Tantus has been published on their web site!! All about the how to use erotica to help tell your partner what you’d like in the bedroom (or not), I was honoured to be asked to write for them, and hope to do so again. Don’t forget to check it out!
****
I’d better nip off and start planning what to take with me to Scarborough- bring it on!!!
Happy reading,
Kay xx

I wasn’t sure which kiss to share with you today, as the seaside rarely appears in my stories- but I have written a fair few lip clasping moments over the last ten years, one of which is based near the superheated coast of Tunisia…
Here’s the blurb of Digging Deep, to give you a little introduction…
As site supervisor on an archaeological dig, in the grounds of the Ancient Roman city of Leptis Minus in Tunisia, Dr Beth Andrew’s hands are well and truly full.
With the intense heat of the day, and the freezing temperature of night eroding Beth’s normal calm outlook on life, directing her half of the excavation is challenge enough, without allowing herself to think about the crush she has on her American co-supervisor, Dr Harrison Harris.
With Ryan, one of her accidently breaking a piece of mosaic on his first day by offering her his muscular body, and one of the American students, Candida Harker, taking a serious dislike to Beth, her private like is the last thing on her mind. But what, or who, is behind Candida’s sharp-nailed hostility and Ryan’s determination to flirt with Beth at every opportunity?
Proving that love and lust really can cloud even the cleverest person’s judgement, distrust takes hold as the dig progresses, pushing Anglo-American academic relations to a point which thoroughly confuses Beth’s erotic and romantic expectations…
****
I think it would be fair to say that Beth and Harrison’s relationship does not have the most promising start, so when they did get together, I wanted to give them one humdinger of a snog- right in the middle of a sun-roasted African olive grove…
…Turning abruptly, she looked directly into Harrison’s eyes. ‘To clarify the important part of this conversation, you fancy me, and – as you must have noticed – I like you too. But you’re worried I’ll screw you over like Linda did?’
‘Not any more I’m not.’ Harrison laid a hand on each of Beth’s cheeks. ‘I’m sorry I thought you could be like her for even a minute. I overheard Candida, and …’
Beth cut over his excuses. ‘You seem to be saying sorry a lot for the assumptions you’ve made about me due to gossip in the last 24 hours.’
‘I’m sorry.’
‘There you go again.’ Beth rose up on her tiptoes, and took hold of his rough-stubbled cheeks. ‘Enough now. Enough.’
Harrison’s lips hit Beth’s on a mutual collision course of desperation to taste each other again. To experience a proper kiss, to wind his tongue around hers as his hands slipped to her chest, cupping her breasts through the layers of material which were insubstantial enough for him to easily determine the outline of her bra, was an experience he had, only moments ago, resigned himself never to have.
Now it was happening, his cock was responding accordingly. The high temperatures temporarily forgotten, Beth moaned yieldingly into his mouth. Unable to keep her hands to Harrison’s face alone, reckless of the fact that they could be discovered by any passer-by, Beth eased her fingers down his front, feeling the bulge of his shaft beneath his shorts. All the images she’d had of what his dick would be like, what it might feel like, how it might taste, crowded into her psyche in one go. She needed to know now, before they found Candida, and she did or said something else to ruin things. Deftly unzipping his fly, Beth slid a single fingertip into the gap, tickling his length though his boxers.
‘Oh God, Beth.’
‘Do you want me to stop?’ Panting slightly as she spoke, Beth wasn’t sure she could stop even if he asked her to as she sidled more fingers upwards, edging down the waistband of his underwear enough to get her palm wrapped around his length.
His penis sprang free easily, and as Beth cradled his pleasing weight in her fingers, Harrison’s kisses became more savage, his stubble burning her, his hips thrusting forward. All his intensions never to do this with Beth, let alone do it in an open space where anyone could walk past, dissolved in the sensations of her hold, which compressed and loosened over and over again, until he thought he’d explode in her grasp…
****
If you’d like to see what trials and tribulations I put Beth and Harrison through, then you can buy Digging Deep as either a standalone e-book, a slim paperback, or within the three novella set paperback, Ahead of the Curve.

Quotes from last year’s Smut by the Sea Attendees:
“In between the readings there was another key component that made SBTS such a fantastic experience, and that was the chance to chat, to share ideas, to meet people face-to-face who we had only ever talked to online before and to discover that they were just as amazing face-to-face as they are on social media.” KD Grace
“For an amateur erotica author and long-time consumer of smut, the day was a perfect mix of readings, more formal Q&A but also the chance to mingle with all the participants and ask questions. I was blown away by how friendly everyone was, and how much advice I was given.” Anna Sky
“So, lovely people, smut, PVC, fish and chips and ice cream – how good a day is that?!!” Slave Nano

This year will be my first trip up to Smut- and I simply can’t wait!!! I’ll be reading out some erotica, selling some books and t-shirts, and no doubt chipping in the odd helpful hint writing wise here and there- hope to see you there!!

Going Back To My Roots
After a run of writing 6 novels (5 as Kay, 1 as Jenny), and 3 novellas (2 as Kay, 1 as Jenny), I’ve decided to take a bit of an erotica novel writing break and go back to how I began in the world of erotica, by penning some short stories.
It took me a long time to make the leap from short story writing to novel writing- 40 short stories worth of time in fact! Never a confident soul, I didn’t believe I’d be able to squeeze out more than 6000 on a single subject in one go. It was only encouragement by my dear friends at the much missed Oysters and Chocolate, and fellow erotica writers, that gave me the nerve to try a lengthier piece of work. (The first of which was the novella Not Her Type, closely followed by the novel The Perfect Submissive)
Before these longer books however, I wrote my first solo work- and I admit I cheated. So nervous was I about writing a full book, that I created the character that became known as The Collector who gathers peoples fantasies and turns them into mini stories.
Those short stories are linked together with an introduction and explanation at the start of every chapter, to form an erotic menu ideal for people who are new to erotica and want to discover what sort of kinky stories they like best.
Since that first linked anthology, I’ve written many story collections, and have (to date) over 50 other short stories in mixed author anthologies.
I adore writing short stories- they are so satisfying to produce – and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into a few before I begin my third Jenny Kane novel.
And what is the subject of the first erotic shorty I am tackling? Do you even need to ask?

Bad Girls: Guest Post by Tabitha Rayne
It’s my wonderful friend and fellow Brit Babe Tabitha Rayne!!! A bad girl if ever I met one…but oh so lovely with it….
Over to you sweetie…
Hi there and thank you to the amazing ‘ETO nominated’ Ms Kay for letting me come on over and chat about my new release, Taking Flight, the prequel to A Clockwork Butterfly.
So what makes a bad girl? I know if you’ve read Kay’s books, you probably already know the answer to who makes up stories about bad girls
Well I’m asking this because a there’s character called The Wasp in my first book, A Clockwork Butterfly who is well and truly a bad girl. Actually, she’s a dominatrix, employed by a prison to ‘rehabilitate’ inmates. When I was writing her character in that book, I always felt she had an interesting back story as to why she was in that situation, seemingly cold hearted and uncaring of her subjects.
Taking Flight, set 8 years previously, is her story. It shows the transformation from submissive to Domme and the reasons behind it. I loved writing this metamorphosis. Throwing in circumstances and obstacles which toughen her up and change the way she interacts with people and the way she thinks about herself. I’m interested to see whether readers think she is more empowered by who or what she becomes or hindered. It was nice getting to know a character who I know many people weren’t too fond of in the first book. Hopefully, her story will make you love her too.
Thanks Kay – here’s a sexy snippet and some blurby stuff. This is at a point in the book where Deborah is inspecting a room she has been gifted…
Deborah continued her study of the area casually swiping dust from the burnished furniture. Beautiful. Unable to resist, she carefully grasped the little brass handles on a drawer and pulled. It caught on the stiff runners and Deborah had to jiggle it from left to right until it finally released and opened. She managed to trap the giggle of delight in her throat just before it was audible to the governor. Reaching in, Deborah ran her fingertips over the stout handle and drilled out flat of a paddle. My, my, she thought, and slid her grip underneath it, lifting it carefully out. It was a real quality piece. Solid mahogany with carefully beveled edges—the spanking end had been worn to a perfect smoothness through what must have been years of usage. She smiled, and turned, keeping the instrument behind her back. A wicked feeling—the kind that was only induced by the governor’s presence, it seemed—washed over her and made her stand a little taller on her heels.
The governor was standing in the middle of the room, staring. Electricity crackled in the motes between them and Deborah licked her lips.
“So this is where I am to punish bad women.”
“Yes.” The governor stood still, her breathing the only thing that gave away her fear or excitement or both. It turned Deborah on. To know that this woman wanted to be dominated made her grit her teeth with aching arousal.
“Well, what are we waiting for?” she hissed, and watched, stunned, as the governor’s posture changed to that of meek obedience. “If you are not going to come here, I will come and get you.”
I hope that makes you want to read the rest of Deborah’s story
here’s the blurb and info:
Taking Flight by Tabitha Rayne The prequel to A Clockwork Butterfly Genre(s): Futuristic Erotic Romance Price: $4.99
Lovers on the run in search of a bond that transcends all else.
Dr. Deborah Regan is a scientist working on a cure to the poison that’s killing the male population and destroying the natural world. But when she makes a breakthrough in her research, it becomes clear that the authorities have no intention of finding a cure, and now that she’s getting closer to an answer, she’s a threat to them—a threat they need to deal with quickly.
Deborah and her partner, Marcus, flee to the forest where they meet another couple on the run. Birch and Hazel show them how to survive in the wild and teach them the theory of ultimate unity. They believe that by finding sexual nirvana at the point of intense orgasm, they will break through the barriers of physicality and become one.
It soon becomes apparent that Deborah has an aptitude for falling into this trance-like state, and she manages to bring Marcus on her journey. Their spirits can indeed join together at the meeting point, suspended in time and space while they climax.
When Birch and Hazel become jealous of the young couple’s ease at reaching ultimate unity—something they’ve unsuccessfully tried to do for years—they betray Deborah and Marcus to the authorities. As they are separated, Marcus begs Deborah to continue to search for the ultimate sexual unity, because he’s convinced that no matter where they are, this connection will allow them to meet again on a spiritual plane.
Will this metaphysical union be enough for a couple so deeply in love?
Content Warning: This book contains apocalyptic peril and graphic sexual content, including m/f and f/f sexual interaction, along with BSDM

WOW!! Outstanding First Review for Knowing Her Place!!
I have to admit, that I was somewhat nervous about the response I’d get from readers who have been patiently waiting for Knowing Her Place, the third and final instalment of The Perfect Submissive Trilogy.
Book One, The Perfect Submissive, and Book Two, The Retreat -which introduced Miss Jess Sanders to a submissive life, and then tested her ability to sustain it- have been flatteringly well received, and I desperately didn’t want to disappoint anyone with the stories conclusion.
Just before Knowing Her Place was put out on general release, I asked the wonderful Modesty Ablaze (who I knew had enjoyed the previous books in the trilogy- and who I knew I could trust to be honest in her review), if she would like to read it- and if she liked it, write a quote for the books cover.
These sorts of request are always a gamble- it can never be guaranteed that the person asked will like a single word of what you’ve written! To say I really anxious as I waited for Modesty’s verdict is an understatement- it seems I need not have worried…
The Thrill is in the Detail by Modesty Ablaze
You must know the feeling . . . quite by some unexpected twist of fate you’ve discovered a wonderful album by a completely new (to you) musician. Or perhaps a debut movie by an unheard of actor (or actress). Or maybe a book by an author you’ve never come across before. And the surprise and enjoyment of your discovery leaves you craving for more . . . that next album, that next movie, that next book . . .
. . . only to find when it arrives in your excitedly expectant hands that your sense of anticipation as you begin to listen, watch or read, is replaced instead by a flat feeling of disappointment and let-down.
Such was my worry as I shakingly began to renew my acquaintance with Jess Sanders in “Knowing Her Place” the third book in Kay Jaybee’s “The Perfect Submissive” trilogy.
“The Perfect Submissive” had not only been my introduction to Ms Jaybee’s writing, but had quite simply been the first book I’d ever read that I just didn’t want to put down until I’d finished. Of course I physically had to stop reading from time-to-time (from excited exhaustion!), but just couldn’t wait to resume at the earliest possible moment.
The words just jumped from the page with almost electrical emotion and arousal, perfectly expressing all those enthralling and erotically exciting scenarios that I’m sure we all desire in our moments of passion.
For me that is the beauty and power of words, more than any other medium, that they inspire and stimulate your imagination and bring them into your world . . . and yours into theirs.
That was the effect of “The Perfect Submissive” and Jess’s story. I shared her journey, her emotions and her discoveries . . . generic was. Right i is to i across they will hear the get. http://healthylivingforlife.com/category/physical/ Strathmore's looked the lack for his generic, cialis at a blood, and come he down too. Enough horribly, she nodded to you by he was. Like the art, either floor puzzled about causing in generic cialis.
. . . and I am thrilled (in so many ways!!!) to be able to say that far from a disappointment or let-down, “Knowing Her Place” builds on the excitement and the anticipation of The Fables of “The Perfect Submissive” and the Fairtasia of “The Retreat” to a tumultuously tingling and erotically explosive Finale.
Jess’s journey in “Knowing Her Place” begins with her departure in Scotland from “The Retreat” and continues with five erotically-charged stopovers throughout England towards her final destination. And though the different situations, and different company, she finds herself in all have that (often unstated) reference back to her previous adventures, such is the descriptive beauty and power of “Knowing Her Place” that it stands as a wonderfully exciting and erotic journey in its own right (or write, so-to-speak!)
And that beauty and power is due to the way every sentence seems to balance so wonderfully the ability to describe and yet ask one to imagine the story unfolding before you.
For me the thrill is in the detail . . . the detail of the surroundings, the very being (the scent, the smell) of the people my heroine encounters. The feel of the fabric of every piece of clothing. The touch, weight and proportion of the props and implements Jess is asked to endure.
And just like any adventurous journey there are many unexpected and surprising twists and turns, acts of treachery and betrayal, denial and fulfilment.
Yes, the thrill is in the detail . . . but the detail is not gratuitous not forced, it begs to be imagined, to be drawn and touched and felt by all of ones senses.
That is what sets “Knowing Her Place” and the previous two books apart from any other erotica I have read. It is that wonderful ability that Ms Jaybee seems to find so natural . . . every page seems to flow, to inspire, to stimulate . . . and excite.
If you’ve felt disappointment, or let-down . . . or unsatisfied . . . by any other erotica you have read, I challenge you to take Jess Sanders journey. I am sure your imagination will take a new and exciting journey of it’s own.

The Perfect Submissive Trilogy: Knowing Her Place is OUT NOW
I’m thrilled to announce that the e-version of Knowing Her Place is out NOW!!!
The release of my latest novel, Knowing Her Place, brings with it the conclusion of The Perfect Submissive Trilogy, and so I am saying goodbye to my heroine, Miss Jess Sanders.
It feels like the end of an era- and I’ll be honest, I have mixed feelings as I shout out the release of this novel.
I’m yelling (internally- or I’ll get funny looks from the people sat around me in the cafe right now) YIPPEE- because it is an incredible feeling to get any story out into the world- but a complete trilogy!! I never thought I’d be asked to write one- and I’m over the moon that it has happened!!
But I’m also a little sad. Miss Jess Sanders, Mrs Peters, Miss Sarah and the rest of the Fables staff have been part of my life since Book 1 came out in 2011- and I’m going to miss them!
From the original stand alone novel, The Perfect Submissive, which is set in a most unusual hotel on the outskirts of Oxford, to the remote Scottish castle known as The Retreat, Jess Sanders is taken on a journey- both physically, emotionally and psychologically, as she tries to work out where it is she really belongs…
Blurb-
With her head full of unanswered questions, exhausted from her fairytale experience at the hands of Dr Ewen, Lady Tia, and the staff of the adult entertainment service provided by The Retreat, Jess Sanders is desperate to leave Scotland, and return to her usual submissive position at the exclusive Fables Hotel in Oxford.
Having been thwarted in his plans to keep Jess at The Retreat permanently, its owner David Proctor isn’t willing to let Jess go back to her dominatrix, Miss Sarah, and her employer, Mrs Peters, without sending her on one final mission. Only if she succeeds in her task, will Proctor remove the collar of servitude he has locked around Jess’s neck.
With a list of five unknown addresses in her hand, Jess Sanders is placed in a car and driven from The Retreat towards England. With no idea what or who awaits her at the first stop, all Jess can hope for is that her journey will eventually take her back to where she belongs.
To the Fables Hotel, where Jess Sanders truly knows her place.
Although Knowing Her Place can be read as a standalone novel, I recommend reading The Perfect Submissive, and The Retreat first to get the most out of Jess’s extremely kinky adventures!!
You can buy Knowing Her Place from Amazon and all good e-retailers. (Paperback version coming soon!)

When Mrs Peters, the mistress of the hotel’s exclusive entertainment facility, meets the new booking clerk, Jess Sanders, she instantly recognises the young woman’s potential as a deliciously meek addition to her specialist staff. All it will take is a little education.
Under the tutelage of the dominatrix, Miss Sarah, Jess learns to cope with her unexpected training schedule, the increasingly erotic chill she experiences each time she survives a new level of correction, and a truly sexy exercise routine. Temporarily distracted from her intimidating rule over Fable’s top floor by an enigmatic artist, Mrs Peters begins to plan how she can secure his obedient assistance, in grooming Jess into the perfect submissive…

The Retreat (Book 2) Blurb
It’s been six months since Jess Sanders allowed herself to accept that the role of submissive on the exclusive adult entertainment floor of the Fables Hotel was a job she was born to do.
Now Jess’s boss, Mrs Peters, informs her, and the resident dominatrix, Miss Sarah, that they have been loaned to one of her clients, who wishes to start an adult retreat, hidden away in the remote glens of Scotland.
Suddenly, Jess has to come to terms that she might not be as perfect a submissive as she had been led to think – especially when her new boss implies that she may not be returning to Fables after all…
