The Ultimate Gift: A Christmas Blog by KD GRACE
What better gift can I give you this Christmas time than a guest blog from the best erotica writer of the day? Not only is KD Grace Xcite's bestselling author, she is a ferocious producer of incredible short stories (including one in the hot off the press, Best Women's Erotica 2012, Cleis Press), and a fervent supporter of all writers everywhere. To top it all, she is one of my dearest friends, and I am more than touched that she has taken a moment out of her insanely busy schedule to write this blog for me- which leads us neatly into her words of seasonal wisdom…

KD Grace Reading From The Pet Shop
The best gifts always involve people. I don't remember what people have given me over the years, unless it's their time, their laughter, their camaraderie. Their love. Those are gifts that are unforgettable. Those are gifts that can be life-changing.
The undivided attention of another person is priceless. To know that someone has felt you worthy of their time, the precious seconds that they only get once, is to know that the person has, in a very real sense, gifted you with a piece of themself, their essence, their life force, their very unique person-ness
Humans sharing time with each other is like touching water. You can't touch it and not cause ripples. And even though it looks the same when you walk away, you take a bit of it with you and a bit of you remains behind.
Imagine the effect of a whole weekend of someone's undivided attention. Imagine a whole weekend with someone's adoration, someone's touch, someone's complete focus on you, your needs, your desires, your person-ness. That's the gift Stella receives when she is given a human Pet for a weekend, in my novel, The Pet Shop. A gift that's most unwelcome in the beginning ends up being a life-changing gift, not just for Stella but for Tino, the Pet, as well.
Sadly, this is the season for giving quickly forgotten gifts, gifts that accumulate at the back of closets, or end up in charity shops, gifts that might even get passed on to someone else next year. I suppose in a way, the quickly forgotten gifts are a place-holder for the person-ness most people no longer have the time to give, even though they might want to, even though that's the most coveted gift of all. Sadly we substitute busy-ness for the gift of a little quality time and presents for the gift of 'presence.'
Every magazine, every newspaper, every talk show has a list of gift suggestions this time of year, so now I'm going to add mine to that long list. Give an hour or even just thirty minutes of your undivided attention, your focus, your appreciation to someone you love. Give a tiny part of you, your person-ness, and I promise you won't be disappointed. It's the sure-fire way to give a tiny gift and get a gigantic one back. Just ask Stella and Tino.
If you have never read The Pet Shop, then I strongly advise you to do so- it is one HOT book. Just to whet your appetite, KD has kindly provided me with a tasty morsel to share with you…
There had been no mention of the 'gift' Strigida had so thoughtfully provided, and though Stella felt like she should at least say thank you, it didn't seem appropriate to do it on company time. But then again, there was nothing appropriate about the gift in the first place, was there?
'You walk like you've been in the saddle too long,' Anne said as she watched Stella sit at the table in the break room. 'Bit sore today, are we?'
Stella couldn't hold back a smile and a blush as she thought of Tino waking her Sunday morning with his tongue. He was such a naughty Pet. She did spank him for it afterward, but that only served to make him more fuckable and her more horny.
She dragged her attention back to Anne who was busy rifling through the Chinese take-away bag for the fortune cookies at the bottom. 'Understandable, really. Tino wields a sizable meat whistle.'
'Shshsh!' Stella gave a quick glance around to make sure no one was listening.
'Oh would you relax. No one will hear us, Stel. Everyone else has gone home for the day, and the only reason I'm still here is because I'm dying to know how you got on with Tino.' She leaned over the table. 'I hear he got back to The Pet Shop late.'
Stella dropped a wooden chopstick and it clattered across the table in a spatter of soy sauce. 'Who told you that?'
Anne wiped at the table with her napkin and ignored the question. 'Tino will always hold out for one last fuck if he can get away with it, and who's gonna discipline him for that? So tell me,' she leaned so far over the table that her head was practically touching Stella's. 'Was it as good as I said it would be?'
Stella felt the uncontrollable smile split her face, the one that had been taking all facial muscles by storm ever since she first made love with Tino. 'Better, actually. Tino is amazing.'
Anne giggled. 'Tino is a very naughty boy, that's what Tino is.'
There was the staccato burst laughter not unlike misbehaving school children scheming something forbidden, then the room fell uncomfortably silent as they both concentrated on their hot and sour soup.
Stella laid down her spoon and wiped her mouth on the napkin. 'After Tino left, I looked up the Pet Shop website.'
Anne didn't seem surprised.
'I was curious, as you can imagine. But I couldn't get access.' she scrunched her napkin in her lap and shrugged. It was more than curious, she thought. It was frightening just how bereft she had felt after Tino left. It bordered on desperation. Her stomach knotted at the thought.
'You have to have a password to get to the good stuff. That is what you were looking for, isn't it? Good stuff about Tino.'
'I spent the whole weekend … making love with the man. I'd just like to know a bit more about him. He can speak, right? I mean not talking is just a Pet thing, isn't it? Like it says in the manual.'
Anne laid down her spoon and held Stella in a scrutinizing gaze. 'Why? Would you have preferred he speak?'
Stella shook her head and looked down into her soup. 'No. It was nice not having to make witty conversation. And besides, Tino really didn't need to speak to express himself.' She found herself blushing again, and her pussy quivered at thoughts of just how well Tino had expressed himself. She looked back up at Anne, who was still watching her as though she were expecting a confession, worse yet, as though she didn't really need one. 'Still, it would be nice to know a little bit about him.'
Anne held her gaze until Stella squirmed and looked away, then she spoke. 'You want him again. Don't you?'
Stella nodded, and felt a strange tightening in her throat. It was insane, but she missed him. How stupid was that? He had been paid to fuck her for a weekend. That was all it was. How could she miss him?
How can I follow that!? Except to say thanks again to KD, and to give you some information about this writer extraordinaire-
K D Grace lives in South England with her husband and a back garden full of free-loading birds. When she's not writing, she practices extreme vegetable gardening. The plan is take over the world with veg plots. It's the veg plot plot.
She walks her stories, and she's serious about it. This August she and her husband walked the Coast to Coast rout across England. For her, inspiration is directly proportionate to how quickly she wears out a pair of walking boots.
She believes Freud was right. In the end, it really IS all about sex, well sex and love. And nobody's happier about that than she, cuz otherwise, what would she write about?
She has erotica published with Xcite Books, Mammoth, Cleis Press, Black Lace, Erotic Review, Ravenous Romance, and Scarlet Magazine.
Her critically acclaimed erotic romance novels include, The Initiation of Ms Holly, and The Pet Shop, both published by Xcite Books.

Review of Five Days by Simon Jacobs and Amanda Woods
Today I have the great pleasure of bringing you my latest e-book review – Five Days by Simon Jacobs and Amanda Woods…
Published by the OCPress, the brand new e-imprint from the highly successful Oysters and Chocolate website, Five Days is a clever, intense, and thought provoking mini-novella, penned by first time erotica writers Simon Jacobs and Amanda Woods.
At high school, Sam has a serious crush on Alicia, but to her, Sam was just the geeky kid who was always on the outskirts of her circle of friends, fancying her from afar. Now, ten years later, they bump into each other and, as they share a 'catch-up' coffee, Alicia has to concede that Sam is far from the clumsy school boy she thought she knew- he is fit and a great deal of fun!
Three hours into their conversation however, after filling in many of the gaps in their lives since they last saw each other, Sam delivers a bombshell -"I'll be dead in five days."
It is from this shattering disclosure that Five Days begins. Alicia realizes that she wants to spend every one of Sam's last seconds with him. This decision, which feels beautifully natural to the reader, leads to some very sexy encounters in places from their joint and private pasts.
Throughout the plot, the authors of Five Days sensibly never forget that Sam is unwell, and show his fatigue and regret at not always being able to keep up with Alicia's seemingly non-stop sexual appetite, helping to make the threat of his illness and imminent death real to the reader.
This loving, erotic, fast passed, mini-novella, packs a lot of adventures into the time span allowed by the title. Naturally I don't want to give away how the story ends- but you will either love its conclusion, or groan out loud!
Five Days is a welcome debut by co-authors, Simon Jacobs and Amanda Woods, which will satisfy any lover of erotic romantic fiction.
This e-novella is now available from the OCPress and all good e-book retailers.

Not Her Type: Erotic Adventures With A Delivery Man – Launch Day!!
It is with no little excitement that I am delighted to say that today is the launch day for my brand new, hot off the press, extra kinky, opposites attract, novella!!!
Not Her Type: Erotic Adventures With A Delivery Man is published by the brand new e-book imprint from Oysters and Chocolate.
Approximately 30,000 words tell the story of Jenny, an accountant working from home, and her weekly visitor, John- the guy who delivers a dose of DVD's to her house every Tuesday at 1pm. Sometimes they exchange a speedy chat on the doorstep- sometimes he has time for a cup of tea- but on one life changing afternoon John stays a bit longer than Jenny had expected, turning her well ordered routine upside down, and forcing her to face the ghosts of a desire she had long since nailed up into neat little boxes in her mind- never to be opened again…
If you'd like to read the blurb and a couple of taster pages from this novella, then just flick back to my two previous blogs, 'Who Couldn't Cuddle A Courier?' and 'Tasty Delivery.'
Putting together these 'courier' themed blogs has sent me on a happy set of reminiscences through all the years- twelve in fact- of my regular 'proper,' work-based, courier deliveries to the various homes I have had across the UK.
I clearly remember the grumpiest delivery man in the world- he lives in Sheffield- I will not name the company he works for- but good grief what a misery!! I honestly think it might have killed him to crack a smile! I frequently had the urge to tell him how much he was letting the side down! Hasn't anyone ever told him that a smile to your customers makes the day go some much quicker- not to mention it makes it SO much more fun!
The majority of the couriers I have encountered however, have caught onto the fact that a little flirting goes a long way. Something that Not Her Type takes advantage of- exercising the forever naughty imagination of the delivery man to its extremes!!
The number of women (and men) that have serious delivery guy/gal fantasies is HUGE!! Over the years the boys (alas I have never had a female courier come my way), have told me so many funny- and mostly true- tales of being hit on upon the doorstep. My favourite being that of the driver who has to call on a particular woman every Monday with a stationery order - each and every time- even though the order always arrives at about 2pm - she opens the door to her courier in the nude- and each and every time he had to pretend he hasn't noticed! He tells me it wouldn't be so bad, but the lady in question is- and I quote- "Well Hot" and he has to drive "with severe cramp- if you know what I mean love!"- Yes honey, we all know what you mean…
If my boys are to be believed, then they are regularly flashed at, propositioned, and in one less amusing case, stalked – it makes the unwanted attention one gets when writing erotica look positively tame by comparison!! – But face it boys- on the whole- YOU LOVE IT!!!
So to all you courier fantasists out there- I hope Not Her Type; Erotic Adventures With A Delivery Man hits the spot for you!! And as it is set at this time of year, with a conveniently seasonal Christmas finale- it is the ideal pressie to pop onto those brand new Kindle's, PC's, and all the other e-book receiving devices out there in techno world!
Before I head off to work on my next novel, here's a date for your diary- On 20th January 2012 at c.6.30pm I will be reading extracts from Not Her Type at Sh! Women's Store in Hoxton, London. I would love you call to come along!

Sh! Hoxton, London
The evening is totally free- I will be serving up the delivery man special- (Tea and Cake)- and, just for a bit of extra fun- there will be a 'How to Spank' class to watch (or take part in if you are feeling brave!!)- More details nearer the time- but if you want to book your ticket nice and early, please do! They are available from Sh! - just call or email the Hoxton branch via this link. (Please remember, although gentlemen are very welcome at Sh!- they must have a female with them to come and enjoy the delights within!)
Not Her Type is available from the OC Press , Amazon UK, Amazon.com, All Romance Books and Bookstrand.
Many thanks one and all. K xxxxxxxxxx

Tasty Delivery- Not Her Type…
With only four days to go until the release of my latest novella, Not Her Type: Erotic Adventures With A Delivery Man (and following on from last week's blog, which gave you a glimpse at the inspiration behind this novel), I thought I'd tempt your literary tastebuds with a couple of extracts from its pages.
This first teasing titbit comes from Chapter 1 - It Begins- My leading lady Jenny, who has been living a self-inflicted celibate life for some years, doesn't know what's hit her when her friendly courier, John, stays for rather more than his usual mug of tea…
Tuesday – It Begins
What the hell am I doing? I'm a good girl; I just don't do things like this.
A tiny fraction of Jenny's conscience screamed at her. The remainder of her brain sent her hands on a thorough exploration of the densely haired chest that had unexpectedly appeared from beneath her companion's polo-shirt. The fact that Jenny had never liked men with hairy chests seemed irrelevant.
Standing in front of her, diving a hand under Jenny's top, John squeezed her left nipple hard, wonderfully hard, making her squeal with pain-tingling gratification. Removing her shirt at top speed, John freed her breasts from their confinement.
Moving as if on auto-pilot, Jenny's fingers visited his trousers' waistband, but in her haste she couldn't get his belt undone. Rescuing her from her embarrassment with a smile, John mumbled something about it always being difficult to open and undid it himself. Jenny barely heard him as a neat pair of gray boxers appeared, swiftly followed by—Oh My God—the most beautiful dick she had seen in years, perhaps ever.
As she knelt before him, the voice in Jenny's head continued its rant, reminding her that she hated giving blowjobs. Since her first experience as a college student, she had neither liked the taste of cock, nor the sensation of being gagged. Now however, working on instincts she never knew she had, Jenny took John deep within her throat. She felt his fingers drag urgently through her knotty, brown hair, raking her scalp as she greedily worked him around her mouth.
"Hell girl, have you any idea how often I've dreamt of you doing this?" John confessed. "Night after night I wank about you, about you holding me in your throat like this."
Jenny was consumed with a perverse pride as she listened to John's words—making her wonder if she should admit to the stolen moments she'd spent alone with a silver vibrator and her own filthy imaginings. Imaginings contrary to her normal fantasies; fantasies that often featured him…
If you enjoyed that, then perhaps you'd like to hear me read a further sample from my work to you? Just click this link to You Tube, and you'll be able to see a video of me presenting a tiny snippet from Chapter 8- Ripped Off- Enjoy…(Oh, I do apologise for the mad hair under that hat!!)
If you think that extract was kinky- then I can honestly say -you ain't seen nothing yet!!
Not Her Type is one of five brand new e-novellas that the OC Press have recently published. Information of all these tales can be found on the OC Press page of the Oysters and Chocolate website-
Jeremy Edwards, The Pleasure Dial – The year is 1934, and amiable New York gag writer Artie Plask has taken the West Coast plunge. His first day on staff with a top radio show introduces him to the irresistible Mariel Fenton, a wit among wits who immediately takes an interest in all aspects of Artie's life—especially his private life. As Artie finds his feet in a world of blustering comedians, pansexual sex goddesses, timid screen legends, exhibitionistic scriptwriters, and self-infatuated geniuses, Mariel leads him on a zany journey up and down the pleasure dial—a giddy romp through Hollywood that's chock-full of airwaves showdowns, writing-room counterplots, devious impersonations, naked meetings, and a sensuality-drenched assortment of erotic escapades.
Gregory Allen, Bottoms in Love – Carter and Lindsey, a married couple, are both submissive lovers. On the rare occasions they get to indulge in power exchange, the one forced to rule and the one who gets to obey is determined by the flip of a coin.
Simon Jacobs and Amanda Wood, Five Days - Sam runs into his long-time crush, Alicia, whom he hasn't seen for years. Sam reveals that he only has five days left to live and the pair embarks on a blazingly erotic, cross-country journey through their collective past, trying to make up for all the time they have missed. Heart-wrenching, sexy, and romantic, Five Days will capture your soul.
Before I leave you in peace to rush off and order lots of copies of Not Her Type to load up onto your loved ones Kindle's and computers in time for Christmas (she says hopefully!!), I'd like to thank Jordan and Sam of Oysters and Chocolate for taking up my story. Particularly for all their patience during the editing process; while we jumped the many hurdles that exist between UK and US grammar and spelling!
It only remains for me to give out one final thank you – a special one – to all my couriers! Not only for their never ending smiles, and their professionalism in delivering a never ending stream of parcels to my home and various offices over the years- but for their constant stream of inspiration- bless you boys, I couldn't have created this novella without you! I am sending you a great big Christmas Kiss!!
