Two Steps Forward, One Back…
Like most days, today…or yesterday…was a mix of good and bad. I had fun over at author Stacey Espino's place and I was humbled by Katalina Leon's praise for Captured – still want to hear that para sailing story again. A close cousin who lives in the Midwest showed up for one night and we laughed into the wee hours of the morning, just like when we were kids – and I was feeling pretty okay today. Then the vet's office called and said they had Louie's ashes for me to pick up and I lost it...

A Guest Blog by My Friend, Author Katalina Leon.
[image error]I asked my friend, Katalina Leon, to write a guest blog.
I was hoping she'd describe in detail the loss of her bathing suit bottom while para sailing but…no such luck! She surprised me by sending this blog about my book, Captured.
I just finished reading a very usual and wonderful book "Captured" by Julia Rachel Barrett. Julia is not only a blog-mate of mine and a friend is she is also a hardcore Science Fiction fan and that's makes her a bit unique in a field of romance authors who often...

The Dark Lady…
Yesterday I blogged over at Lindsay's Romantics about Shakespeare.
http://lindsaysromantics.blogspot.com/2010/06/william-shakespeare-or-amelia-bassano.html
Who was he? Was the bard even a he? New research by John Hudson indicates that Shakespeare may have been a woman, and not just any woman, a Jewish woman from a family of Conversos – Jews forcibly converted to Christianity. Her name was Amelia Bassano Lanier and I find her life story compelling, even more so if, as a woman, as a Jewish...

Why I love Firefly!
[image error]How do I count the ways?
Firefly was a short-lived futuristic science fiction series created by Joss Whedon, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame. The series was brilliant in its simplicity – after a galactic war and the end of the revolt against what was basically Big Brother ala 1984 – people just try to get by the best they can. Serenity, the ship captained by Malcolm Reynolds and his first mate and former companion in arms, Zoe, exists in-between, her crew taking jobs where they find them...

Welcome Siren Author Stacey Espino!
[image error]I asked Stacey to drop by to celebrate her new release. Saving Grace is her first menage and it promises to be a fantastic read! This baby is over at Siren-Bookstrand and it's rated SEXTREME!!! Fanning myself here…pant…pant…
Blurb:
Grace is thrust deep into cattle country with dozens of sex starved cowboys. Her modest, timid nature soon fizzles away to make room for her raging lust. From one night stands to a ménage a cinq, her body won't allow her to refuse the muscled ranch hands that s...

[image error]You all know that the movie, Meet Joe Black, was a remake of the 1934 romantic classic, Death Takes a Holiday, right?
The critically acclaimed movie starred Frederick March as Death on holiday. It was based on an original play by Alberto Casella, and if you view the film, it's actually staged in such a way that you feel as if you are watching a play.
I saw the original movie version when I was a kid. It both thrilled me and frightened me. Death was a pretty scary dude, but at the same time, ...

Daughters of Persephone…coming soon!
Ooh, P.S. I'm over at Lindsay's Romantics Blog today: http://lindsaysromantics.blogspot.com/[image error]
Here's a preview of a very naked man!
No, really, there is a naked man, excuse me…there are naked men, in my science fiction romance series, Daughters of Persephone, and they are delicious!
You all know the myth of Persephone, right? The daughter of Demeter (Goddess of the Earth) and Zeus…kidnapped by Hades, the God of the Underworld…forced to stay in the underworld six months of the year because she ...
