Pardon my dust…

I know I've been lax, but…excuses…excuses…

I have emergency edits and cover requests to finish so that Daughters of Persephone – all volumes – can get released on time – and the great, wonderful, marvelous, hilarious, fun-loving, compassionate, understanding, all round good sport, author Mia Watts has been hanging with me and my honey.

I will post as soon as I have a free moment!

And she's Mia Watts!

So Mia's here and we're getting along great, both typing away on our laptops while honey-bun watches baseball – because you know, baseball been bery bery good to me!  She's just as crazy funny as she says she is, and you get another stream of consciousness post!

No, actually, for a laugh head over to Mia's site – she should have her new post up soon!  Her brain is very scary, even off drugs!  http://miawatts.blogspot.com/

Your patience is requested while I try to regain my innate good humor…

Such a bad, awful, nasty mood is a rarity for me.  Some days this business effin' sucks.  I will be back to posting ASAP!  :(

Ketchup.

Ack!  I had a fun, smutty, Scottish-related post planned for today but instead, not…just news.

1.  My Everything, my romance-suspense with Cobblestone, got a five-star review from The Romance Studio:  http://theromancestudio.com/reviews/reviews/myeverythingbarrett.htm

2.  Beauty and the Feast, my contemporary with Resplendence, received a five-teacup review from Happily Ever After:  http://hea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/07/review-beauty-and-feast-by-julia.html

3.  The release of Daughters of...

Why I love book bloggers!

Recs!  I love reading reviews – sometimes I find a gem in a genre that isn't exactly my cup of tea, like Steampunk and YA.  I just bought a used copy of Kathleen Givens' Historical set in 13th century Scotland, Rivals for the Throne.  Historicals aren't among my usual suspects, but this book was highly recommended by a book blogger and her readers – I bought it before I left and it was waiting for me on my porch when I returned.  I wish I could remember which blogger featured the book…sorry!

I...

We're baaaaack!

[image error]Here's Josie, all that's missing is me!

Hi all, I'm back from ten days of heaven…I mean Montana – big sky, rugged mountains, cute cowboys, good food, harsh weather, heavenly horses!  I spent yesterday afternoon stuck in that dang Seattle airport again – but that All Romance E-book award-winning author, Mia Watts, and I spent two hours texting each other – until the battery on my phone died.

We stayed a couple days at my daughter's boyfriend's cattle ranch.  Eat more grass-fed beef!  This...

I think we need a bigger plane….

Something happens every time I fly through Seattle to get to Bozeman.

I've got the transfer timed perfectly because I don't want to wait long in the Seattle airport – you know, no more than 40-60 minutes between flights.  I make it to my gate after a potty stop – which is a story in itself – hang on, I may have to seque…I headed into the crowded bathroom, waited for a stall, finally one opened up, LOL.  Went in, set down my computer bag, set my purse on top of my computer bag, as there was no ...

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.

[image error]Norman McClean was many things, a fisherman, logger, firefighter, teacher and late in life, an author.

He wrote one book that was published in his lifetime, a collection of short stories released in 1976, entitled A River Runs Through It and Other Stories.

This is one of my favorite books.  Mr. McClean's style is clean and spare, clear and concise, and above all, ethereal.  Reading A River Runs Through It is like reading a spiritual treatise on the nature of the soul, without the treatise...
