Music at the Mission

Today, there's another live musical performance for the homeless at the Midnight Mission here on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.

A few months ago I was lucky enough to hear another show in the series, and I did a story about it for KCRW. In honor of the start of the station's pledge drive at the radio station, where a portion of donations will be directed to feeding the hungry, I'm sending along the link to the story:

Shades of #GNH? The B-Corp and why it could transform capitalism

(Not to be all dramatic or anything. But! give a listen to what a B-Corp is and why companies are rushing to categorize themselves this way.)

For those interested in the development of media in Bhutan, here's a great update, if you haven't already seen it:

"Arrow Envy: In #Bhutan, archery and manliness go hand in hand." @theAtlantic

How many times have I been asked to bring a pricey, high-tech compound bow into Bhutan? A lot! Haven't tried to do it yet and probably never will.

But this article in The Atlantic explains why it's the gift most Bhutanese men would love to have. (Thanks, Richard!)
