Terraforming Other Planets
As climate change ramps up here on Earth, there has been increasing talk about terraforming other planets.
This is possible in the cyborg world. Our knowledge of planets, of the universe, of natural systems has expanded significantly. As has technology.
It is NOT possible today here on Earth.
Heck, we don’t even know how our own planet works. We are only recently uncovering what our Earth’s core might, MIGHT consist of. We seem to discover another climate feedback loop every dang day. The complexity and intricacies of natural systems on our own planet are beyond our current understanding.
We definitely don’t have the knowledge today to transform another planet to resemble Earth.

Rage And Joan Updates
One of the most frequent questions I receive from reading buddies is…
Can you give me an update on Rage and Joan?
I hear you! I love Rage and Joan also.
And I act on it this request. I usually give an update on Rage and Joan (from Releasing Rage) and their family around once a year. This update is shared through my newsletter.

Muse Food – Alien Mushrooms And Flowers
There is SO much inspiration for cyborg romance and alien romance writers here on Earth.
Look at these mushrooms I found while trekking around.
Their awesome shapes could definitely belong on an alien world. OR be part of an alien world. Imagine walking on spongy ground. Maybe bouncing!
These flowers look like explosions or fireworks. What if they WERE explosive to the touch? Or they exploded at random times. A cyborg and his female would be trekking along some terrain and suddenly, it becomes a battlefield with plants exploding everywhere.

The first draft of Grin And Bare Him is done! Woot! It is a hot mess as most of my first drafts are but the bones are great and I think you’ll really love this story.

Changing A Life
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I always talk about how we want to change lives.
We’ve been focused on human lives but the world is much bigger than that. And sometimes it is easier (and quicker) to make a difference in a critter’s life.
The carpet roses are bursting with blooms, for example, and that is attracting the bumblebees. We don’t use any pesticides. There are plenty of places for bumblebees to rest.
It is a little paradise for them.
Bumblebees (the worker bees i.e. the pollen collectors) live between 2 to 6 weeks. We can easily make that life as happy and as stress-free as possible.
And we can do that merely by planting roses. (smiles)

Communications Outages And Alien Invasions
Recently, a communications company (Rogers) in Canada had a service outage. Mobile/Cell phones, internet, some landlines didn’t work.
My first thought was – we’re having an alien invasion. (grins)
Because the first thing an invader here on Earth does is knock out communication channels. This causes chaos. It stops sharing of information and strategies. It makes it nearly impossible for the locals to coordinate their defenses.
This is why this plot point in movies, books, etc are used again and again.
It works.

Throwback Thursday – Dark Flight
Orol, the hero of Dark Flight, is, I believe, the sole winged hero I have. Having flight as an option made the steamy scenes so much fun. Sex in the sky! (grins)
Rhea, the heroine, is a complete bada$$. She’s a bit of a mama bear about her younger sister, is extremely protective. And she loses her sh*t when that sister is abducted.
Stakes are high. As are the passions. Orol and Rhea set off sparks when they meet.
Dark Flight
His mission. His challenge. His forever.
Orol, the Refuge’s second-in-command, has been given what he believes is a simple mission—escort two human females to the settlement. The winged warrior arrives at the meeting site to find one of the females missing and the other aiming a gun at his head. To rescue the first, he must capture the second. One For Me. One For The Squirrels
We’re lucky in the Sax household to be surrounded by wildlife. We host the Mafia Squirrels, Rocky the World’s Largest Raccoon and his ever-expanding family (there were THREE adorable babies this year), Grandson of Bun Buns and other rabbits, a multitude of birds and a gazillion insects.
That means our veggie garden is truly that – OUR garden. We share it with the critters.
So we plant extra. This tomato plant might be for us. This tomato plant beside it is for the slugs. Yet another plant is for the squirrels.
I assume 1 out of 3 veggies planted is ours.
That might have been optimistic. (grins) But we’ll still have enough.

Muse Food – Decadence And Baddies
When the Dear Wonderful Hubby and I toured The Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island, the recorded guide mentioned some of the walls in the Morning Room were covered with platinum leaf.
Platinum is one of the most expensive materials on Earth today. And it was super expensive also in 1895 when the mansion was built.
To use platinum as decoration is and was an in-your-face display of wealth.
It is something a baddie in one of my stories would do. The local population is starving and this baddie is using precious metals as wallpaper.
