Dolls
I am inspired with a useless longing to learn how to make cloth dolls, using techniques like needle sculpture... something I have only just discovered...what a pity I shall never do it now.

Adding Books
Will some kind soul talk me through the process of adding to my list of books - suddenly I can't seem to do it.

See the Bears on Hackney Marshes
On Thursday evening I gave a short talk on the Bear of Hackney Marshes (and on one occasion, Hollow Ponds) for the London Fortean Society. Other talks were on ghostly London and Occult Bloomsbury (with particular reference to the amount of pubs patronised by Alisteir Crowley...awesome)
I managed not to give my hamster imitation on this occasion, but I did give a lively demonstration of the plantigrade gait of the bear (intended to show how differently it walks from the average dog).

Hurray for Zoe
Yesterday I went, with a friend, to see Zoe at Foyles' 'Summer Scream Event' involving young YA authors Zoe Marriott, Michelle Harrison, L.A.Weatherly and Karen Mahoney, who read extracts from their latest books, talked about their writing and answered questions. They all did splendidly, but I do feel Zoe got the most laughs. And handed out wolf teeth to people who asked questions as well - surely a first for a QA session. It was a fun outing, and I won a huge bag of books, which also included tshirts, a novelty watch, posters, Key-rings,a make-up bag and a useful wallet for my bus-pass. Although I didn't get a wolf-tooth.

Good News
I have - apparently - lost 3 inches off my hips and 3 off my waist - or so my Agency tells me. I suppose I should be grateful for any good news.

Getting the Call
Still trying to work on my introduction, but I have had two phone calls - one to get some more head-shots done (I might replace my profile picture from those)and one to call me to a casting - Jolly good. Now the Introduction...
Does anyone read author's introductions, and, supposing they do, what sort of information do they like to see?

Bear with Me
I am new to blogging. Please bear with me.
I am currently trying to write a foreword to a proposed e-collection of my short stories (of which more later). At the same time we have been having work done on the house (which has left me without an oven)and I am trying to edit the second volume of my trilogy and keep an eye on the cat Jezzabelle who is determined to get downstairs and eat the moggy meat which is bad for her, instead of her expensive special diet...and waiting for someone to phone about a possible casting causing me to leap for the phone every time it rings. And every time, so far, it has been someone offering to obtain us a large sum owed to us because someone sold us the wrong insurance...
Occasionally I fly to my Kindle for solace and read ghost stories...
Ah well...
