3D Boxed Set Covers
So by now, most of you who scan the virtual bookshelves of the interwebz would have seen those 3D Boxed Set covers that have appeared all over the place.
Well, this is just a post to let you all know that I make some of those things! And some of mine have gone way high in the charts. Ones like this...
And this...
And these...
Backgrounds are changeable as well! This mall has everything!
So if you're on the lookout for a nice, 3D, extruded and reflected boxed set cover I'd love to hear from you! Send me the flat image of your front cover, and the story titles, and I'll turn it into one of these babies!
My rates start at US$20 for 7 spines or fewer. 8 or more spines steps up slightly to US$30. Extras negotiable (ribbons, stickers, etc.)
If you're interested, you can reach me via email at willsinrowe@ymail.com

Another Newbie Author!
[Cross-posted with Coffee-Fueled Erotica].
I'm feeling rather honoured. Over the past few years of creating cover art, I've mostly worked with experienced authors.
But lately, more than usual, I've been getting more first-time authors to create covers for. In recent months people like Susan Child and Abi Aiken (both Aussies...oi, oi, oi!) have called on me to create covers for their first babies. And I really do feel it's an honour. To be an author's first experience of a cover artist.
Well, I have another to add to the list! Rozlyn Sparks, all the way from the US of A, with her brand new release, "Fangirl". It combines paranormal urban fantasy with rockstar romance, and it's a really sweet tale. This is one of the few times where I had the opportunity to read the story before creating a cover. Although, truth be told, Rozlyn had a pretty good handle on what she wanted with this one. She even picked out the image! So it's been an excellent collaboration.
Anyway, if you like vampires, and rockstars, and romance, I strongly recommend checking this one out.

Guest Post - Abi Aiken
[Cross-posted on Coffee-Fueled Erotica]
I posted a couple of weeks ago about the brand new cover I'd made for a brand new author, Abi Aiken. Since she has no blog of her own yet, I offered her a cheap rental rate for the use of Willsin's World.
Take it away, Abi!

Thanks, Willsin!
Okay, so I'm really new to all of this, even though I've been writing for years and years, just like every other writer out there it seems! When I hatched the idea for my story, "His Go-To Girl", I thought the writing would be the hard part. And it was sort of hard in a way, but it was also loads and loads of fun to watch these characters come to life on the page before me!
And then came the editing! Oh my! That was my first step to finding out how hard it can be to become a published author. I went through draft after draft, and was very lucky to find a beta-reader who really 'got' the story. It still feels sort of cool to say 'beta-reader' since I really only learned that term a short time ago!
But I won't bore you all with the step by step process, since I'm sure you all know much more about it than I do right now. Probably all I need to say is that I didn't realise I was quite so naive about the publishing process! Lol!
I'm very thankful that Willsin not only made me a cover, but also put me in contact with Katie Salidas who formatted my book for me. I'm glad it's all about who you know, because if it was all about what you know then I'd still be dreaming about being a published author.
Hopefully this will be the first of many books for me. One day I hope I can support myself and any significant others in my life with my writing, but if the process of getting "His Go-To Girl" out into the world is anything to go by, it might take me a while!

His Go-To Girl
Blurb:
Channary Kee has been best friends with Daniel Garrett since the fourth grade. Now sharing a house, that friendship has grown into a beautiful romantic love.
For one of them.
Even with her genius level IQ, Channary can’t find a way to tell her housemate how she feels. And when a new love interest steals Daniel’s attention away, it seems all is lost.
Can Channary win back Daniel’s attention and turn it into love? Or will her efforts shatter their long friendship, leaving her with nothing?
Excerpt:
With my back to him, I held my breath and closed my eyes. I felt the heat of his body all over me as he stepped up close and swept my hair into his hand. A moment later I felt soft bristles gushing through my voluminous black mane.
“Daniel, what’re you doing?”
“Making peace.”
Oh hell, it felt good. The man of my dreams running a brush – and his fingers – through my hair. It was so unexpected and disarmingly intimate. His voice rumbling so close to my ear played havoc with my knees.
“I noticed you were struggling with that old brush. Hair like yours deserves special treatment.”
Not for the first time I was utterly confused. What kind of straight man gives great hair without wanting great head in return? Or notices a girl struggling with anything other than her underwear?
He stopped brushing and moved in front of me. “So I got you this.”
“Oh, Daniel. Is that silver?”
“Silver plated. And the bristles are boar-hair. That’s supposed to be good, right?”
“How did you afford it?”
“Sold your kidneys.”
“Oh. That’s why you didn’t get me the beer.”
His laughter was like music to me.
“I surrender. But one day, brain-strain, mark my words: I will have all the answers and you will be speechless!”
I cradled the brush like it was a kitten. Receiving a gift from Daniel would be reason enough for me to be tingling inside. But a gift with such thought behind it was almost heavenly.
“So we’re good now? Peace is restored?”
I couldn’t help myself. I swept him into a hug that doubtless meant a whole lot more to me than it did to him. He returned it strongly, though, so I just took whatever I could get. With my ear to his chest I could hear his heartbeat, and it suited me to think it was pounding with desire.

Abi Aiken is a youngish latte-swilling movie-lover with fewer secrets than you might think. As an only child, she found the best way to have conversations (and win arguments) was to play all the parts herself. So she wrote her first story at the age of 12 and it felt so much like coming home that she never left. She believes most of her problems can be solved by Midori and lemonade.

Guest Interview - Bianca Sarble!
[Cross-posted with Coffee-Fueled Erotica]
I first "met" Bianca Sarble last year in a Facebook group. Like me, Bianca is an Aussie author of naughty materials. Unlike me, she's a lovely lady! Now, let's get down to the interrogation! I mean interview...
WILLSIN ROWE: Welcome to Willsin’s World, Bianca. So nice to have you here. Let me start by congratulating you on the release of Full Bloom, which I understand is your first book.
BIANCA SARBLE: Thank you so much for having me! Yes, Full Bloom is my first book baby.
Willsin: Do you recall when the spark for Full Bloom hit you? Or was it a more gradual process...a distillation over weeks or months?
Bianca: I have always had an active imagination. That’s why I love reading, the characters come to life in my mind and that’s exactly what happened when I saw the blog for Decadent Publishing’s Western Escape line set in Freewill. Then, I saw the poster for the Shooting Star writing competition and I finally listened to the characters whirling in my mind and picked up a pen.
Willsin: Now, my sources tell me that you’re a country girl, which means I’m guessing you have more than a passing knowledge about country fellers. For a city boy like me, can you please explain the allure of cowboys?
Bianca: Oh, what’s not to like! They know how to work hard…then play harder. They can fix anything given a piece of bailing twine and a bit of elbow grease. And they work up a sweat doing it, which of course means they need to take their shirt off to wipe their brow. Then, to properly cool down, they upturn a bucket of water over their head and let the cool water cascade down their hot washboard abs. They keep their jeans on, they wear them like a second skin, just to tease us with the picture of their tight arses encased in well-worn denim.
Willsin: Not that you've thought about it much, or anything...So, do you think this will be “your” genre? Will you stick with cowboys and the women who defile them (heehee), or is there, say, a steampunk thriller kicking around in that overactive imagination of yours?
Bianca: While I’ll never say never…I don’t have plans to write a steampunk thriller anytime soon! I have a release coming in July that is contemporary erotic romance based on a food theme, and I have a couple in the pipeline that have some Western elements in them as well. I’m also working on some sexy short stories that are rated H for HOT!
Willsin: Oh yes...the Edible Delights series. I'm looking forward to getting hold of all of those! Now, who do you have on your shortlist of actors to play Tash and Nathan in the Hollywood adaptation?
Bianca: Well, Nathan would have to be played by Chris Hemsworth. Oh…that man in cowboy boots and rope in his hand is enough to get Hollywood producers to sign on the dotted line in a flash! Tash would be played by Sara Ramirez, who I think is one of the sexiest women on the planet.
Willsin: Mmm...Sara Ramirez. Actually, mmm...Chris Hemsworth! He has too many Y-chromosomes for my liking, but I can see what the all fuss is about! Okay then. Give us the goods! Tell us everything you can about Full Bloom!
Bianca: Thanks for having me . Here are the blurb and an excerpt for you and your readers.
-----
BLURB: Tash Hathaway has moved back to Freewill to open her own flower shop—Freewill Flower Garden. She is actively seeking a man to fill her Mr. Right vacancy and has even signed up to find him online. But when she finds duds instead of studs Cassi, Tash's best friend, convinces her to take a break and live a little, make some of her cowboy fantasies come true before settling down.
When his riding partner is injured, Nathan Davis goes home for a break from the PRCA circuit. He returns to find his life changing in ways he's not ready for. Nor does he expect the distraction of a beautiful small town girl who fulfills his wildest fantasies.
Tash and Nathan collide in a lust-filled bubble, but neither of them are prepared when things get serious. Can love come to full bloom between two people determined to have a temporary bit of fun?
-----
EXCERPT: “Tash Hathaway.” He clicked his fingers. “Now I remember. You were a couple of years behind me at high school. How’s things?”
Oh my God. He’d remembered her. “Um, things are great. I own the flower shop in town.”
“So, you own that pretty little pink thing?”
Pretty little pink thing? What?
“Oh, the van!” Tash glanced over her shoulder at the bubblegum pink delivery van. “I bought it secondhand from a mobile hairdresser and haven’t taken it to get painted yet. I’m kinda getting used to the pink. So, what brings you back to town?”
“My traveling partner came second to a bull and wound up with a broken leg. By the time I helped get him settled in Texas, I’d fallen behind in the points, so I thought I’d spend some time at home. Come see the family, help out a bit. Lucky I did because my mom fell in the barn yesterday and broke her wrist.”
“Oh, that’s terrible. I hope she’s okay.”
“Yeah, she is, thanks.”
His voice sounded so smooth, but with a bit more twang than she remembered from high school. He’d certainly changed from the shy rancher’s son into a hunk of smokin’ hot cowboy.
“My dad’s bringing her home today, but it’s going to be tough on her.” Nathan half snorted. “Not one of the best things to do in a barn.”
Tash couldn’t resist trying out her newly rediscovered flirting skills with a man that not only flipped her switch but lit up the whole damn box. She hit him with her sexiest smile. “And I bet you’re an expert in all the best things to do in a barn.”
Nathan rubbed his chin as he looked her up and down. “Looking for some lessons?”
Don’t shoot your hand in the sky and say, “Pick me! Sign Me Up!”
She cocked her head as she ran her gaze over him, taking him in from the hair she wanted to run her fingers through, to his rather large buckle. She’d put him a little over six foot, which made him her idea of a perfect fit. Being a tall, lush woman, Tash liked the feel of her lover surrounding her as they made love, and knowing he wasn’t going to drop her when he had her pinned to the wall, banging her brains out.
“That depends. Are you skilled enough to be a teacher?”
An arched brow and curved corner of his delicious mouth hinted at his cautious curiosity. He came a step closer, their bodies separated only by inches. “Oh, I’ve got the skills. I’m a professional cowboy, which means I like to perfect every ride, every time.” Nathan leaned in close to her ear. “Which can take hours of practice.” He ran his fingertip up her arm as he slowly moved back and met her eyes. “And what kind of a cowboy would I be if I didn’t know my way around ropes? That’s a skill I’m very, very good at.”

New Aussie Author...
I'm very pleased to reveal the new cover I made not so long ago.
Why am I pleased? Why, because it's for a brand new Aussie author, who came to me in a roundabout way from ANOTHER new Aussie author!
This cover for Abi Aiken, for her new friends-to-lovers story "His Go-To-Girl" is kind of new territory for me. I haven't checked it with the statisticians yet, but I do believe this is the first cover I've made for a Brisbane author (other than that pesky and annoying bloke whose initials are Willsin Rowe...and seriously, what the heck has HE done lately, huh?).
But the interesting little kick in the tail is the way I scored the gig.
It was because of another cover I made for an Aussie author. "More Than Friends" by Susan Child. The subject matter - best friends becoming lovers - was similar, and Ms. Aiken decided to give yours truly a chance to try and weave some magic. I'm well pleased with the result.
So clearly it's all about who you know, even on the interwebz!

His Go-To Girl - Blurb
Channary Kee has been best friends with Daniel Garrett since the fourth grade. Now sharing a house, that friendship has grown into a beautiful romantic love.
For one of them.
Even with her genius level IQ, Channary can’t find a way to tell her housemate how she feels. And when a new love interest steals Daniel’s attention away, it seems all is lost.
Can Channary win back Daniel’s attention and turn it into love? Or will her efforts shatter their long friendship, leaving her with nothing?
Excerpt:
I dumped the mess of laundry on top of the washing machine. Not for the first time I questioned myself. It wasn’t like Daniel was actively taking advantage of me. I chose to do the laundry – all of it, including his – because I knew that was the only way it would get done. But I also knew that I was letting him off the hook.
The trouble was, I liked doing it. It helped him, made him happy, and let the house flow smoothly. Besides, I could smell his hair on his pillowcases, his body on his shirts.
Aw, dammit. No wonder he never tried to sleep with me. I was already giving him everything else, and he was still free to stick it to every available bimbo in town. Either I had to get over this or I had to tell him I loved him. Maybe he’d finally realize how amazing I am and have earth-shattering sex with me.
Yeah, that’s exactly what’d happen. And then a troupe of flying unicorns would drop by to sing me a rousing version of “The Good Ship Venus”.
But at least I’d have a little self-respect back.
Fine. No more putting my own needs aside in favour of his. This time I’d do it.
Right after I finished ironing his jeans.

In all the hurly-burly and all the girlies, this little baby got released late last year. It features three stories each from three erotica legends and also three from yours truly.
Selena Kitt, Alison Tyler and Sommer Marsden between them have approximately 77 bajillion books out there. All hawt, all sexy and all hawt and sexy! To be included in such company gives me such a lovely warm feeling all over.
So if you're inclined to real a little bit o' hawtness, you could certainly do worse than getting your hot and busy hands on this number. It's availamable all over the place.

Submission Therapy
Billionaire CEO of Blakely Incorporated, Natasha runs her empire with an eagle eye for every detail. She's an obsessive, compulsive, micromanaging hard-ass, consumed by the need to control every aspect of her life and her business.
But underneath that seemingly strong façade, Natasha is a swirling mess of anger, anxiety and sexual addiction. Only her therapist, Dr. Benson, knows how close she is to burning out...or exploding. He insists on a radical form of treatment - Submission Therapy - knowing that it's her only hope.
Skeptical but intrigued, Natasha agrees to attend the first session. What she finds there is an erotically-charged environment that will forgive none of her habitual bad behavior. And a steely-eyed man who seems to read her every desire - even the ones she won't admit to herself.
Will Natasha learn what it means to submit? Or will she allow her brittle pride to rob her of what she truly needs?
WARNING: This title contains graphic language, sexual situations, bondage, discipline, toys, and plenty of billionaire shenanigans.
An Excerpt from Submission Therapy
Master Sweet rested his hand back in my hair. "Natasha, it's time to begin."
He fisted that hand again, reigniting the heat in my scalp, while his other swept down my calf and stopped at my red-black two-toned peek-a-boo toe Louboutin pumps.
"What size do you wear, Natasha?" He drew the shoes off one at a time.
"Six."
"Yet you have size eight feet."
"Guys exaggerate their dicks, girls shrink their feet."
He turned his already-tight fist, pulling a sharp breath into my lungs. "That kind of language is a privilege. One you've not earned."
I couldn't speak through the tension in my body, and I couldn't nod without risking searing pain. Thankfully Master Sweet eased his grip just enough to allow my voice back.
"Yes."
"You will address me as Master Sweet, or simply Master."
"Yes, simply Master." I tensed up, ready for him to squeeze again. Instead he shocked me by pushing forward, overbalancing me until I was on hands and knees, my cheek buried in the carpet. His pelvis nudged up against my ass, and he was definitely packing something hard in there.
He took a long, deep breath in. "I do so enjoy these early stages."
"Yes, Master," said the toadying redhead.
He brought his free hand back down to my feet. He appeared to still be addressing his off-sider. "Look at the deep lines her shoes have carved. The rich redness of constriction."
"Yes, Master."
His breath seemed to falter for a moment. "It will be exquisite to see this all over her body."
All over my body? What exactly was that supposed to mean? I should have known better. Never agree to a deal without the terms being spelled out in a contract. Business 101. "Listen, Mister Sweets. Unconventional sex therapy is one thing, but no one is putting any kind of marks on my body. Are we clear?" I threw his condescending words back at him.
"Do you understand what it means to submit?"
His callous tone caught me off guard, but I quickly recovered.
"I have underlings for that."
"So you see submission as a form of weakness."
"Absolutely. I bow to no one."
"You do now. " The finality of his words was chilling.

He Said, She Said - Kyoko Church meets Willsin Rowe - Part Two!
That's right. This is Part Two. "Where is Part One?" I hear you all clamouring to find out...well it's not here. Not on my blog at all!
I recently "met" Kyoko Church in a group on Facebook. We got to chatting a little and we got so interested in it that we decided to turn it into a blog. You can read Part One over here on Kyoko's blog.
Now, in the words of Big Audio Dynamite..."I'm gonna take you to, I'm gonna take you to, I'm gonna take you to Part Two!"
* * * * *
Now you hinted earlier, Kyoko, that you basically stepped outside yourself to write Mistress in For Her Pleasure. How rewarding do you find it to shuck off your Kyoko skin for a while and slip yourself into the pages of the story you’re creating?
KC: It’s funny you put it like that, Willsin. I had to think about it for a bit because whenever I write I feel I am shucking off my own skin, or at least the one I normally walk around the world in. I love being a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, an employee, a volunteer; someone who’s happy, helpful, productive, supportive, nurturing… all the things women are “supposed” to be. But I also love stepping into my office where I release myself from those things. I check the world at the doorstep and allow myself the freedom to be any of the less socially acceptable things: a slut, a Domme, a cheater, a pervert, a nympho… anything my imagination can dream up! And it’s hugely rewarding. I feel like I was only living a fraction of my life before I allowed myself permission to explore those ideas to create fiction. And by the way, I’m not saying it isn’t possible to be any of the things in the latter category at the same time as those in the former. Of course it is. And I enjoy exploring that in my writing. But I think what you may have been asking was about writing femdom for the first time. That was also very rewarding. I am not going to pretend to be an expert in BDSM, very far from it! But one of the things I have read that it’s valuable to do to really understand the nature of these kinds of relationships is to experience both the Dom and sub side of it. Writing femdom I think really allowed me to have a better grasp of the nature of power exchange and how done well, even though it may appear that one person holds all the power, it’s really balanced and very much like the yin yang symbol, with the power flowing constantly between the people involved.
How about you, Willsin? An Australian male erotica writer is not someone you hear about every day! What brought you to writing this genre and what does it bring to you as a person and an artist?
WR: You know, when I started out writing erotica, it didn't occur to me that my gender and nationality might be considered unusual. But then, I didn't really go into it with a great deal of forethought either. I'd started reading erotica and found that a lot of what I read just didn't quite "do it" for me. It wasn't the quality of the writing or anything like that. It was all about me as a reader. So I thought that I should try writing it and see if I could steer stories where I wanted them to go.And one thing I've discovered that I truly enjoy is writing first-person female point of view. I asked you just before about shucking off your skin to write, and that's a big part of my enjoyment too. But just stepping outside of yourself – "De-Willsining" for me – is only step one. That just gives me a blank slate. It's the donning of your "character suit" that's where the real fun begins!
In a way it feels like a delicious indulgence to "be" a woman for a while. Do you have any preference when you're writing? Have you inhabited a male POV for a story, and if so, how did it fit?
KC: I don’t know that I have a preference. Obviously I don’t worry about sounding authentically female when I write from a female POV. For Her Pleasure is actually written from a male POV and it’s only the second time I’ve done that. The first time I worried about creating an authentic male voice. I can be pretty girlie, I thought, what do I know about what men really think? This time with my sub male character, for whatever reason, I didn’t worry about that at all. I just felt like I really understood him, his kinks and motivations, so I didn’t question the authenticity of his voice. I feel pretty confident I got it right after some very positive feedback from my editor who is male and more so after some great male reader comments as well.
I don’t know that I’d say it was a “delicious indulgence” to write as my male character, but it was certainly a lot of fun!
Well, I could stretch this out for hours longer! But at some point I guess we writers have to stop navel gazing about the hows and whys and get to the actual writing. Perhaps we could wrap up by you telling me what you’re working on now. What can we anticipate next from the charming Willsin Rowe?
WR: At the moment I’m up to my armpits in cover art. Something like 20 different titles I’m working on. And I’m also in the process of breaking in a new pen name for the stories I have which just don’t suit my Willsin persona. On top of that, for an entirely different project, I find myself writing songs again, for the first time in about ten years! So I’m a busy boy.
How about you? What’s on the cards for Kyoko?
KC: Oo, that all sounds really exciting! You’ll have to let me know your new pen name. For me, I’m working on the third book in my Draper Estates Trilogy. It’s totally not femdom so for anyone who feels femdom is not their thing and historical romance with a dash of steampunk fits the bill then I hope they’ll check out this series. Also I’m working on a really fun new event with Dymocks book store here in Adelaide that I’m super excited about. I can’t say too much more about it yet but stay tuned! It may be something you’ll want to be involved with Willsin!
