I don’t think we could have done an episode of HIT RECORD ON TV about Guns without talking about these tragic mass shootings that have been happening far too many times, especially in the United States where I’m from. But it doesn’t only happen in the U.S.

CaptClare, who’s from Australia, RECorded herself telling a story about a massacre in her country and how her family reacted to it. And we made this short film about it.

We did a collaboration for HIT RECORD ON TV with my two buddies...

We did a collaboration for HIT RECORD ON TV with my two buddies Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg about guns and masculinity. In addition to being funny, I think what Seth and Evan wrote is a really smart satire and I’m really proud of what we all made together on hitRECord for our TV show.

“GUNS” was definitely the most controversial theme...

“GUNS” was definitely the most controversial theme of any HIT RECORD ON TV episode we did this season. But controversy just means that people have a wide variety of strong opinions. And just because lots of people disagree, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t talk about it, tell stories about it, sing songs about it, etc. Our show is an example of how people who disagree can still collaborate to make something great together.
