RegularJOE (Director) comment: “Excellent! Well done, JasonAngelone! You really breathed life and emotion into MattConley’s script. Making comics is such a great way for us to tell stories together. (And not to get ahead of ourselves, but this could totally be animated into a great tiny film.)”

RE: Klondike Gold Rush Historic National Park
“Revised - Klondike Gold Rush Historic National Park” by Sarah Scott
RegularJOE’s comment on THIS STORY: “Sarah, this is such a pleasure to read! It evokes so many thoughts and feelings about family, nature, our countries and our cultures, our stories and our histories. What a perfect story to focus on for our National Parks collab. I could really see this turning into a wonderful short film, perhaps interweaving video footage of Klondike Park with animation sequences that dramatize the story, or I’m sure there could be plenty of other potential visual approaches. And I imagine it would be driven by a voice-over narration, sort of like in First Stars I See Tonight.
I think there’s still a fair amount of work to be done to take both of your text records as source material and adapt them into a script. And honestly, that can be a brutal process, because there’s always great pieces that have to get chiseled away in order to bring a clear narrative into focus. (The “First Stars” script ended up like half the length of RoswellGray’s original contribution.) The good news is, there’s no hurry, so you and/or other writers have time to play around with it.
Again, bravo. To me, this kind of thing is when hitRECord shows its greatest strength, when a vivid and unique perspective (yours) can be not only shared but brought to life by our whole community.
thanks <3″
