Chameleon (Supernaturals #1) info/summary

I've had quite a few people write me lately asking about more info on my upcoming novel Chameleon, so I figured I'd post what I know and hopefully give you some answers. Here goes...

*"Supernaturals" is a four-book paranormal romance series with each book told from a different character's POV.
*Chameleon (Supernaturals #1) is scheduled to release summer 2013.
*We're working on a cover, but I have no idea when that will happen yet. I'll let you know as soon as I do.
*This will be an ebook series only. (As will all of my books be in the future.)
*Advanced reader copies will be available to bloggers, though I'm not sure when those will go out. If you would like to be put on the list to receive eARCs of my books, just fill out the "contact me" form on my website. Let me know you'd like to be on the ARC list, and post a link to your blog.

That's pretty much all the info I have for you at this point. Hopefully it helps. Thank you so much for all the interest! I'm so excited to finally be able to share my fantasy side with everyone!
I'll leave you with a summary for the first book, and remember, you can read the first chapter in the bonus material of my book Being Jamie Baker!
Chameleon Summary
“On the eve of that last great battle there will rise up one more powerful than the world has ever known. Without her Evil will win. Delicate, though, she is, for she carries the power of both light and dark and could easily be swayed by those who would use her for harm. Nothing but the truest love will keep her an agent for good.” ~The last prophecy of the Oracle

For small-town rebel Dani Webber Supernatural is just a TV show and prophecy died with the Old Testament… Until the day she accidentally stops time at the Homecoming dance. Apparently magic is real. And apparently Dani is the Chosen One spoken of in some ancient prophecy.

Stolen from her life by the supernatural government, Dani is forced into a world of magic and monsters where she soon discovers that she’s a brand new type of supernatural with a power no one understands. Oh, and that the fate of the entire world rests on her shoulders.

But how can Dani fulfill her destiny when only the “truest love” will keep her from choosing evil? Especially if her heart is torn between two very different boys with two very different opinions of whom she can trust.

Being Jamie Baker 2nd edition release & giveaway

Hey everyone! The second edition of Being Jamie Baker is here! Check out the new cover.

So, what do you think? I like it. I think she makes a good Jamie.

Also, this new edition has some never before seen bonus material. There are two scenes of the book told from Ryan's point of view. The masses have spoken--well those who stopped by my blog and voted anyway--and the two scenes are (a.) the superkiss at the cabin that nearly kills Ryan abd (b.) when Ryan first tells Jamie he loves her.

Then there's also the first chapter of Chameleon. (My first paranormal romance, set to release summer 2013!)

Fun stuff!

Just to clear up a few questions...

1. This second edition is ebook only. In fact, all of my books are switching to ebook only in the future. (So sorry to the tiny percentage of people this will inconvenience!)

2. If you've already purchased Being Jamie Baker kindle edition on Amazon, I believe that Amazon will get around to sending an email in the next week or two letting you upgrade your version for free. This is an Amazon feature. I don't know anything about B&N and all other retailers. I don't think they do this.

3. Yes, there will be sequels to Jamie Baker. In case you missed the blog post about that, there will be two more Jamie Baker books. The next one is set to release the end of next year.

And, finally, last but not least, how about I give a couple of these ebooks away?

Sort of like riding a bike...

“She threaten to end your life yet if you hurt Becky?”

Teddy threw his head back and released a loud bellowing laugh.

“Am I really so predictable?” I grumbled.

Ryan kissed the frown off my face. “Only when it comes to your temper,” he promised, extending his hand to Teddy one more time. “Word of advice? Don’t disappoint Jamie. It can be hazardous to your health.”

“Speaking from experience?” Teddy asked.

Ryan laughed. “Hardly. Jamie’s way to smitten to ever be disappointed in anything I do.”

“Smitten?” I asked dryly.

“Yeah, you know, besotted? Infatuated? Obsessed? Head over heels in love with me?”

“Like you are with yourself?” I deadpanned, but I laughed despite myself.

Ryan grinned. “There’s the smile I’ve been waiting for. I knew you had one in you somewhere.”

I gave up and wrapped my arms around Ryan’s waist like the smitten girlfriend that I was. “I love you.”

___________________________________________
Oh, Jamie and Ryan, how I've missed you guys!

It's been what, a good three years since I've spent any real time in the world of Jamie Baker? And I've written what, four and a half novels since finishing that manuscript?

I'm finding the experience very interesting. It feels like meeting up with an old friend you used to know everything about. A little awkward at first, but the more time we spend together the more we fall into our old routine.

I am going to have to go back and read Being Jamie Baker again though before I write any more because I wrote so many drafts of Jamie that I honestly can't remember everything that ended up in the final version. Not to mention Ryan keeps wanting to act like Russ Devereaux. (The sarcastic, unruly, slightly devious warlock in my supernatural series.) While both boys are equally in love with themselves Ryan is way to sweet to be Russ.

So, this is me putting aside Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series to re-read Being Jamie Baker. Also, this is not an attempt to avoid actually writing. I swear.

Maybe...

Vote for the Being Jamie Baker scene you want to read from Ryan's perspective.

Want to know what Ryan Miller was thinking during your favorite Being Jamie Baker scene? Here's your chance!

In preparation for the upcoming sequels, Bluefields Entertainment will be releasing a second edition of Being Jamie Baker within the next few months. (ebook only) This new edition will have a new cover that will correspond with the following two books as well as some bonus material.

The book will include the fist chapter of Chameleon (the first book in my Supernaturals series, set to release June 2013), as well as a couple of Being Jamie Baker scenes told from Ryan's POV.

Here's the fun part. You get to vote on which scenes from the book you want me to write! Just choose a scene from the pole below. Voting ends 11:59pm September 14th. You can vote for as many as you want but only the top two will make it into the book. (If your favorite starts to fall behind, feel free to try and convince your friends that they need to vote for your favorite too. ;P )

Which scene from Being Jamie Baker would you like to read from Ryan' POV?

Happy voting! Also, if you're feeling awesome, help spread the word on twitter! I've made it easy for you. All you have to do is click this button...

A Being Jamie Baker sequel?!?!

Hey everyone! I've been pretty slow with the blogging the last couple months. (As usual.) However I thought I would take a minute to answer the question I get most often--will there ever be a sequel to Being Jamie Baker?

Originally I had planned Being Jamie Baker as the first in a trilogy, but I never got around to writing the second and third books. (See my blog entry about Sequelphobia!) However, it is my pleasure to announce that yes, after years of waiting there will be two more Jamie Baker books!

The Books in the Jamie Baker series:

Being Jamie Baker (Jamie Baker Book 1)
More Than Jamie Baker (Jamie Baker book 2)
Remember Jamie Baker  (Jamie Baker book 3)

There is also a possibility of a Ryan Miller novella, but no promises on that one at this time. I suppose it will depend on how the series does, and my own sanity while trying to keep up with my busy schedule. (However I can usually be coerced with enough begging and/or bribed with white chocolate and cupcakes.)

No publication dates are set at this time, but we are hoping to release book two around the end of 2013. The idea is that the Jamie Baker books will offset the releases of my Supernaturals series (A four book paranormal romance series with first book set to release next summer.)

Hopefully this answers your questions! I'll keep you posted on the progress of the books and dates as I get them, and thanks everyone for all the Jamie Love!

V is for Virgin Teaser

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who took part in the Serial Hottie Blog Tour, and an especially big thank you to those of you who have already purchased a copy of the book. You guys rock!

However, if people bonding over serial murders isn't your cup of tea I suppose I can understand that, so I'll try to give you something else to look forward to. I promised a snippit from my next book V is for Virgin.

V is for Virgin is a YA contemporary drama about a girl who gets dumped for her decision to stay virgin until she’s married. After a bit of a public breakdown, she gets tired of the ridicule and decides to start a school-wide campaign to rally support for her cause. The controversy catches the entire nation’s attention when a famous rock star learns about Valerie and decides to take her abstinence as a personal challenge.

Hopefully this book sparks a little bit of thought from those who read it. It’s about knowing who you are, making choices for yourself, and standing up to peer pressure. (In a fun, sexy, getting-chased-by-hot-rock-stars kind of way…)

I think it’s a little more risqué than my first two books, (with the subject matter being sex, that was sort of inevitable) but it’s still relatively clean. For a book all about sex there's not actually any sex in it lol. Hopefully people really enjoy it because I had a lot of fun with it, and am very proud of it.
This is just a tiny teaser...

****

“You’d really play an entire concert, for free, just to go on a date with me?”

“Looks that way, doesn’t it?”

“Why?” I asked.

Kyle’s eyes dropped briefly to the V hanging from my neck and his frown melted into a cocky smile. “I can’t resist a good challenge.”

That’s what I thought. “Well, I’m afraid you have a problem then, Kyle.”

“What’s that?”

“I never back down from a challenge either.” I pointed to the jeans I was wearing. “This is one pair of pants you’ll never get into.”

“Ah, but you still have a whole closet full of others, and at least one very sexy skirt, don’t you?”

“None of which you’ll ever get your hands on either.”

Kyle crossed his arms over his chest, studying me with a gleam in his eyes. “So that’s how this is going to go?”

I matched his posture and then threw his own words back at him. “Looks that way, doesn’t it?”

****
So there you have it. The book is V is for Virgin. It comes out this December. I should have a cover to share with you pretty soon. I've seen the mock up and it's fabulous!

If you're feeling awesome, share this teaser on twitter!
