Shy Cowboy available today

Shy Cowboy is available today.

Book three in the Uncommon Cowboys Series

Shy Cowboy Cass Drake is in love with his best friend, Tom Black, and content to keep it to himself until Tom is brutally attacked and Cass will do anything to protect him—even letting Tom mark him as his human mate.

Cowboy Cass Drake puts himself on a crash diet shortly after he meets Tom Black. Built like a linebacker, Cass has always been self conscious about his size and his shyness isn't helped by all the teasing he endures in the bunkhouse. But his quiet new friend Tom actually seems to be flirting with him. When Tom is attacked one night, it's Cass who comes to his rescue. Tom has a thing for his innocent cowboy but he also has secrets that could put Cass in danger.

Because my hero Cass sees himself as unattractive and freakishly over-sized, he is too shy to go after the man he loves. But his best friend Tom sees him in a different light.

Before I went to Italy and saw these beautiful ancient bronze statues, they showed up in Shy Cowboy. What struck me when I first saw them was they looked like men, like seasoned warriors and Tom tells Cass that Cass reminds him of these statues.

When we arrived in Southern Italy, the bronzes were under restoration so we weren't sure we'd be able to see them, but they were in a special glass climate controlled room so we were able to watch the work being done on them. I think I liked seeing that better than I would have if they'd been on display.

Find an excerpt and purchase link for Shy Cowboy here . Stay tuned for book one in the series, Straight Cowboy to be released as a single title July 11 and look for Wounded Cowboy in October, A Plain, Ordinary Cowboy in December and A Cowboy in Siena in January.

BTW, if you are a kindle reader, TEB sells their stories in that format.

Ardent cover art and release news

I was told that Ardent could be out soon, perhaps while I'm away after I finish
any last editing details. Here is the cover for Ardent.

It sounded like something from one of the graphic novels Jaime Anderson aspires
to create, but Arden Kaller is real. Once the lover of Jaime's older brother,
his blood coats Jaime's lips the first night he hits town when he heals him
after Jaime is involved in an altercation in a brick-lined alley. Arden has
spent long years studying his amphora, his pot shards. How can a small town boy
exert such a hold on him? But it isn't long before he tricks Jaime into wearing
his mystical token.

Jaime's life is complicated enough just handling classes. Now his guitar-playing
friend Mondo turns out to be a werewolf who wants Jaime to be his-and then there
is Arden, his dark, dangerous, and slightly nerdy vampire lover.

Coming soon from Man Love Romance Press.

Wounded Cowboy is all but finished. I'm waiting for the finals. I really like how this one turned out. It will be out in early October.

A Pastry Princess cover art and news

I have lots of news. First, new cover art for A Pastry Princess.

Here's the banner for it and I'll put the cover under the cut.

This is my first menage. I'm working on the edits for it now.

I am almost finished edits for Wounded Cowboy which should be out in early October. Later this month, Straight Cowboy comes out in audio book. See it here . And then early June Shy Cowboy comes out.

For Ardent I've worked on the cover with them and hopefully more news soon.

And I'm almost finished His Landlady, an IR MF novella.

Hope you are all well. It's still cool and gloomy here sometimes, we're having a very late spring.

New Cover for Straight Cowboy and other news

I have new cover art for Straight Cowboy, the first in the Uncommon Cowboys series since soon it will be released as a single title ebook and audio book.

And I finished Wounded Cowboy yesterday. Here is a blurb:

Luka is dying. He survived captivity and abuse from the brutal pack that killed his family, holding out because of dreams of a man with big, gentle hands. When Charlie Danvers finds a beautiful scarred man with long silken black hair and feral green eyes, naked and freezing in an April snowstorm, he takes him home to his lonely cabin and will do anything to heal him.

At first, Luka is afraid, even of Charlie. He has nightmares and can't sleep in a bed like a normal person and he can't even figure out how to use a knife and fork at Charlie's table. But Charlie's patience is rewarded as Luka slowly comes out of his shattered pain, helping Charlie take care of the other wounded creatures on his nature reserve.

This is a longer story than the others to date. Since I'm going away soon, I am also working hard on His Landlady, a m/f novella which I hope to finish before I leave and I just finished the major edits of Ardent, my m/m vampire book with MLR.

First review of Loving Kindness and news

Loving Kindness had its first review at The Romance Studio from Kathy F: when you start a book with a man exercising in the nude, you know the sex has to be good. A perfect summer at the beach read.

The link to the full review is here .

I have had second edits now for Ardent, my m/m vampire novel and soon expect first edits for A Pastry Princess, my menage. I'm hoping before I go away to get Wounded Cowboy done. I only have three more chapters to go. It's longer than the rest of the series and I have a new m/f novella I hope to finish also.

That's if my RL allows, since I'm busy there too. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

My first blog radio interview

I read an excerpt from Wounded Cowboy and I talked about some recent stories, why I like writing contemporary cowboy stories and why painting and writing aren't always compatible. If you'd like to listen to it, it's here .

News and inspiration

When I first read Genetic Attraction by Tara Lain, a wonderful menage at LI, I was struck by her use of Avalokitesvara, a male version of Quan Yin, Chinese goddess of Mercy. Definitely someone deeply into yoga. It was my pleasure to visit her blog today to talk about the inspiration for Loving Kindness. Please drop by and leave a comment if you're moved here .

And yesterday when my book came out, I got word of two nice reviews for Shifter Cowboy.

At Literary Nymphs here from Chocolate Minx and at Whipped Cream Reviews here from Coreopsis.
