Work and Holidays

I'm having such a hard time managing my time during the holiday season. I need to write, want to write, love to write, but I also want to be a part of the joy and fun. I want to shop for my grand babies! I want to see my children and my grand babies. I want to cuddle up with my husband with a cup of hot chocolate and a romantic movie.
How greedy can I get? I want. I want. I want.
So this morning I told myself to get a grip. Stop WANTING! Do what makes me happy and what makes others happy. I don't need to WANT anything. I have so much to be thankful for and I should concentrate on that.
Whatever your holiday, take time to revel in your blessings.

TOUCHES THE STARS

In ancient times, the tribes of the Florida Everglades lived a life rich with tradition and ritual. But it was the shaman, endowed with his wisdom, knowledge of the spiritual world, and powerful visions, who guided his people.

Mi-sa, the shaman’s daughter, was born under a shooting star and inherited his magical gifts. But she was misunderstood by her clan and feared as a spirit of the Darkside. Enduring hatred and hardship, her courage gave her strength to seek her destiny that would change the fate of her people.

This is one of my favorites for several personal reasons-especially one scene, one sentence. How do I still remember that same sentence?

Joe and I are busy with our next Maxine Decker novel. Right now she is up to her ears in trouble and we are trying to get her out of the mess! What fun. We are also stretching ourselves with a couple of different things in this book.
