Sometimes the stuff comes, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't I just don't worry about it. Maybe I'll do something else, or maybe I'll sit and write nonsense. One thing that helps is that I keep a lot of journals and give myself permission to write anything in those that I want - doggerel, silliness, junk. Many times, though, when doing that, something emerges - maybe a character, a plot, a story, and then I just run with it.(less)

Murder Most Foul!!

I’ve been giving some thought to murder lately. Often this mood comes over me on a Monday morning when I read about the weekend murders in nearby Chicago, almost always more than you could count on one hand.
