Clubfoot Connections cover

Here's a first look at the cover for Clubfoot Connections​! This nonfiction anthology is coming soon from Thinking Ink Press, in time for World Clubfoot Day, which is June 3.
Clubfoot Connections collects 23 perspectives from people of all ages with a variety of backgrounds. They share, in their own words, their personal and emotional clubfoot experiences.

Getting to Know New Writers

The Clubfoot Connections own voices anthology is coming along! My co-editor Maureen Hoff and I have read through the submissions, and Thinking Ink Press just sent the good news to all the wonderful writers whose work will go into this book!
I'll post more news about this book in 2023!

Clubfoot anthology project

I'm going to be developing and co-editing an own voices anthology with author and podcaster Maureen Hoff! Maureen is wonderful--I'm so happy to be working with her!
The tentative title is Clubfoot Connections: Stories, essays, and poetry by members of the clubfoot community. Submissions are open through Sep 30. Click here for the submission guidelines.

Beyond Boots 'n' Bars journal is coming soon

I've been working on a guided journal for clubfoot parents called Beyond Boots 'n' Bars. We ran a Kickstarter campaign through Thinking Ink Press, which funded. A big thank you to all the backers!

It's November—there's a chill in the air and the scent of pumpkin spice seems to be everywhere.
It's also National Novel Writing Month—the annual online fiction-writing marathon in which people all around the world try to write 50,000 words during this month. Yes, 50,000!
​It can be a wild ride if you want to give it a try. Back in 2008 I wrote a mish mash of 50,000 unusable words. I couldn't make that into an actual novel, but I did have fun and I made a very good friend who I am still in touch ...

Beyond Boots 'n' Bars is funded

A big thank you to everyone who backed the Kickstarter campaign for Beyond Boots 'n Bars! I really appreciate it.
Over at Thinking Ink Press, we'll be working on producing this book. The first copies of Beyond Boots 'n' Bars will go to the Kickstarter backers, and then we'll be publishing it.

Stepping back from Facebook

I recently decided to cancel my Facebook page. So that will be happening soon. I don't use it much anymore. The Thinking Ink Press Facebook page will still be there. I'm on Twitter, and of course here at my author site.
