Romance Junkies Review for AWT

Here's the link to the Romance Junkies review for Any Wicked Thing! My favorite snippet: It is impossible to find a more perfect title for such a decadently erotic novel as ANY WICKED THING. Well-written, with a fine flare for flirtatious sarcasm, Ms. Rowe has penned a deliciously entertaining historical romance, blessed with insanely sexual love scenes that are equally raw and riveting.

Yowza.

Hoot!

Any Wicked Thing got a 5 star Top Pick review from Night Owl Reviews. Here's a snippet: Any Wicked Thing by Margaret Rowe is an incredibly hot, addictive tale of love and passion set during the Regency era in England. I was drawn into the author's world and completely captivated by the characters and her writing style. I read this in one sitting; I found it impossible to put the book down….tender and burning hot. Wye Not?

In a few days I'll be in Great Britain! My current book is set on the Welsh-English border, and I decided I needed to do some research and get out of mud season in Maine.

I've visited Wales several times before, but many years ago. We're staying in Hay-on-Wye, a medieval market town with about 30 bookstores. Every year they have a huge book festival, but we'll be there before then–which is good, because I don't do well in giant crowds. (don't ask about the Rolling Stones concert in Canada a few years ago, although Mick Jagger can still strut his stuff)

We'll spend four days in London too. My husband has booked plays and concerts and if we wake up in time we plan to go to Sunday service at St. James's in Piccadilly, a Christopher Wren-designed church . Feet willing, I hope to do one of the walks that's featured in writer Louise Allen's Regency Walks through London. We'll be at Fleming's in Mayfair. Want to have tea?

But the best part? I'm going to buy William & Kate wedding swag for future giveaways, LOL. Click here and here to see what the contest prizes are this month!

Operation Auction

Many people in the romance community know that an auction began today to benefit Fatin Soufan and her family of four daughters after her husband was killed. Fatin has long been a great supporter of romance, hosting the blog Romance Reader @ Heart Novel Thoughts, and doing many small and large things to promote authors and their books. It's time to return the love. Please visit here to find out more about the auction and all the fabulous prizes, and here to go to eBay to bid. All five of my published Maggie Robinson/Margaret Rowe historical romances will be available for bidding in a book bundle. You can also donate money directly to a fund set up for the girls if auctions frighten you.I just signed up for eBay for the first time and see I may be swept away by all the possibilities. Be brave and bid!

Golden Glow

I've just come back from a seven-day cruise in the Eastern Caribbean. Don't hate me. I got tan and relaxed, but I discovered that after a winter of going barefoot as I stayed indoors writing, the seven (!) pairs of shoes I brought were unwearable. Yes, I'm addicted to shoes, but apparently they are allergic to me. I'm now in gauze bandages and slipper socks and will be forced to continue my sedentary ways at the computer for a while as I recoup. I have something sunny to keep me company, though–the gorgeous cover for September's Mistress by Marriage! Happy Spring!

Bits and Bobs

I'm still enjoying release week for Margaret Rowe's Any Wicked Thing. But time marches on, and there are other books to worry about. :) I've just added an excerpt for August's Improper Gentleman. People who entered last month's contest can expect one of these cute magnets in the mail.

I expect to get copyedits very shortly for September's Mistress by Marriage. And oh! I've seen the cover. It is spectacular! Edward and Caroline are romping in a field of old gold brocade. Unfortunately I don't have a jpeg for it yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post it and add it to the books page.

January's Mistress by Midnight received 5 coffee cups from CoffeeTime Romance. The reviewer says: Ms. Robinson gives us a tale that contains many different emotions; bitterness, love, sadness, heartache, anger, betrayal, secrecy, joy, passion, and loneliness. Mistress by Midnight takes us on a journey as two long ago lovers once again learn the pleasure of each other's flesh and love even as one tries to deny feelings for the other. Set in the nineteenth century, this novel is rich in history, danger, and lost love found again.

Check the news page for blog stop giveaways of Any Wicked Thing coming up. So far I've given away 8 copies and there are more to come!

Wicked Good, As We Say in Maine

Today, March 1, is release day for Margaret Rowe's Any Wicked Thing from Berkley Heat. I love this book, and hope you will too. Sebastian Goddard is the baddest of bad boys, but he meets his match in virtuous-but-curious Frederica Wells. I'm giving copies away today at Novel Thoughts, Vauxhall Vixens and on Twitter. Just follow me at @MaggieLRobinson and add the hashtag #AnyWickedThing to any wicked tweet. :) You can also win a copy by entering this month's contest. I'll be guest blogging around the Internet, too. See my news page for details.

Today is also my youngest daughter Abby's birthday. I sent her a copy of the book (don't worry, there was a check inside, LOL) because it's dedicated to her and the rest of "my girls"–daughters Sarah and Jessie, and my Vauxhall Vixen critique partners Ely, Kris and Tiff. I don't know what I'd do without them.
