Dog Blood Donors

My husband donates blood regularly but it wasn’t until I was doing a little research did I learn that dogs can donate blood too. Donating your dog’s blood can help save the life of two or three dogs depending on what it is used for.
Here’s the information on how it works.
Will my pet be unwell after a donation?
Donor animals should be checked by a veterinary surgeon that they are fit and healthy enough before making a blood donation, in which case the risks of donation are...

Gobble Gobble…It’s A Kitten
Straight from the UK an adorable kitten that sounds like a turkey. I tell you it’s true. Watch the video and hear for yourself.
An animal welfare centre in Florida has rescued a kitten that makes an adorable clucking noise when it eats.
Because the three-month-old kitten sounds so much like a barnyard fowl, Orange County Animal Services have appropriately named her Turkey.
A video uploaded to YouTube shows the black cat gobbling up a tin of food.
The kitten is now up for adoption and the animal c...

Dogs Help Wounded Veterans

Courtesy Justin Lansford, Spencer Milo
I volunteer with Happy Tails Pet Therapy and bring my dog, Kensy, to visit a nursing home and pre-k for kids with disabilities as well as many other special visits throughout the year. It doesn’t matter if we visit seniors or children Kensy is always a big hit. The fact that he looks like a walking stuffed animal probably doesn’t hurt. The joy, love, and comfort he brings to all he meets is amazing. Seeing the smiles on those faces…priceless.
To wounded ve...

Is Your Dog A Poo Eater?

Stool Sample
Out of our three dogs thankfully we only have an issue with one, but trust me when I say that is enough. There is nothing more disgusting than when your dog goes outside and eats poo only to come inside and breath on you. Or wost case scenario, give you a wet willy.
I’ve spoken to our vet about it but so far her advice has not worked. I was told to put meat tenderizer in his food to make it less palatable. Less palatable than poo? Well, the only thing that did was make it more tend...

Would You Say ‘I Do’ To Your Dog: Woman Marries Dog

ITV
We have three dogs and I love them as much as anyone loves their dog, but would I marry one of them? Amanda Rodger’s from the UK did just that, married her dog Sheba. I have to believe there’s a reason she’s divorced and now married to her dog. I’m just saying.

Hello Kitty – This One Has An Attitude
Cats. I’ll be honest with you, I love them.
Being a dog, that’s not easy to admit. Yeah, most felines have egos bigger than Lassie in his heyday, but if you take the time to cut through the fluff they ain’t all bad.
Plus their asses smell really, really good.
I’m not alone in my thinking. How else to explain the proliferation of cat porn websites? You know the ones, sites made for the sole purpose of posting cute cat pictures.
Maybe I’m biased to thinking positive about them because I’ve lived wi...
Dog Masseuse – How To Give Your Dog A Massage
When you’re 102 in dog years your bones are old and weary so when I came across this article on dog massages from The Doginton Post I knew I had to share.
I’ve had acupuncture before and while I admit it did help having a bunch of needles stuck in your fur suit isn’t that fun. A dog massage looks like a much better way to go. It’s not only a great way to bond with your pup it actually provides health benefits for them such as pain management, firming up muscles, and helping with circulation. T...
