When the Saints

This book was too well named!  It, and its predecessor, Speak to the Devil, came out in hardcover (and digital) back in 2011 and 2010 respectively,  but the paperbacks haven’t surfaced yet.  There was talk of an omnibus, now discarded, and the latest I hear is they aren’t even scheduled yet, which means they can’t appear until late 2013, if then.  Pity!  They’re good books and you don’t have to take my word for it.  (I always say that.)

Now hear these…

Nineteen (19 count’em 19!) of my books are now available on audio.  To see the list click here but beware of other persons with similar names.  I dare say they’re OK writers in their way, but they’re not the real Dave Duncan.  More of mine are coming out all the time.

Never apologize, never explain

I was enjoying myself at VCon this weekend when I thought to check in on my posts ad was informed that I did not have authority to look at my own webpage.  As soon as I got home yesterday (Monday) I bawled out my server (a curious choice of name) and this morning they got it up and working again–no explanation, no apology.  So I’ll say I’m sorry for them.  I don’t know when it happened.

Short story!

It’s over 20 years since I wrote a short story, but last year I went and did it, and it will be be published in Issue 22 of Neo-Opsis magazine, which should (so Karl assures me) be out in time for V-Con and I expect to be there to welcome it.  It’s called The Son of Abish, a title that ought to tell you that it is a fantasy.

Bargain e-books!

Two of my e-books are promoted at special rates this month.

47North will be featuring Against the Light among their Kindle Monthly 100, which features 100 titles at $3.99 or less.  This standalone fantasy was published in January, 2012.

HarperCollins will include Paragon Lost in their Harper Voyager Value promotion from Sept 4th to October 2nd.  Paragon Lost was the first book in the “Chronicles of the King’s Blades” trilogy and features the incomparable Sir Beaumont.

I hope these efforts will introduce my work to new readers.

Overdue Apology

I just discovered, to my dismay, a file of posts that I was supposed to approve for inclusion on my webpage.  Some of them are months old.  I have now approved them and I do apologize for the oversight.  There may be technical reason for it, because I changed my system, but I should have been more alert.

Thanks for all of them.
