Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Jennifer L. Hart

AAD Featured Author Interview: Jennifer L. Hart

Author Jennifer L. Hart Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Jennifer L. HartIs this your first year attending AAD?Yes, I’m a newbie! What made you want to come to AAD?My pal, Saranna DeWylde attended AAD in 2013 and raved about the experience. Since Charlotte is my hometown, I knew this was the year to take the plunge.
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?Hmm, the bar is a pretty safe bet, LOL. I plan to mingle as much as possible, to make up for my life of solitude.
Book cover for book 1 in new mystery series, Final Notice Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?Yes! Final Notice, the first in the Damaged Goods mystery series hit the store June 10, 2014! I write both mystery and romance and this series has a little bit of both, plus a lot of hijinks! Any fans of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series should check out this book.

If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?That depends on individual preferences, since I write several different genres. The best bet would probably be the newly released 3 Hags in 1 Misadventures of the Laundry Hag box set. 4 books, three mysteries and a romance featuring the same couple for just $4.99
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?I love trying new drinks, the more adventurous the better. Though at home I’m mostly a vodka and cranberry kind of girl. [image error] We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?Final Notice, Who Needs A Hero? and Daisy Dominatrix.

Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Suza Kates

AAD Featured Author Interview: Suza Kates

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Suza Kates!
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?
I tend to do a little of each. I’m one to walk around and see what’s happening next door.

Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
Yes! The ninth and final book of The Savannah Coven Series releases July 20th. “Sacrifice of a Witch” is Anna’s story, the coven leader who will face the most difficult trial yet. You won’t believe what she has to do to complete her challenge and defeat the Amara once and for all!

If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
I’ve always gotten great feedback on “Hallowed Eve.” It’s a romantic suspense set during October. Serial killer, hot guy next door, and plenty of female bonding thrown in to round it out.  ; )

What panels will you be on at AAD?
Discussing the Anti-hero!

If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
Pina Colada. Like being on the beach anywhere you are.

We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?
“Suffering of a Witch” and “Vengeance of a Witch,” books 7&8 of The Savannah Coven Series.

Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Becky McGraw

AAD Featured Author Interview: Becky McGraw

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Becky McGraw!  headshot Is this your first year attending AAD? Yes, it is.  I’m really excited to be attending this year, and will probably have MANY fangirl moments when I meet some of the other featured authors.
What made you want to come to AAD?I’ve heard it’s an outstanding signing event, but haven’t been able to get in until this year.  I attended The Novel Experience Event in Atlanta, which was also hosted by Stella Price, and it was fabulous.  A spot became available for AAD, so I jumped on it!
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?Well, I won’t have my herd of beefcake from Texas with me at AAD like I did at TNEE, but I will have my bigger-than-life-sized banner of Steffen Hughes, my model for book eleven in my Texas Trouble series.  Look for the big, hot cowboy with the six-pack abs and you’ll find me!  Did I mention the banner is scratch and lick?  I will also be hanging out in all the places mentioned above and would love to meet you all!
borrowing-trouble Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about? I just released Borrowing Trouble (#12, Texas Trouble) and plan on having Cowgirl Crazy (#2, Cowboy Way) out in July. If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be? Just one? Oh man, I want them to read them all!  If I had to pick one from each series (compromise? haha), I’d say Borrowing Trouble (#12, Texas Trouble) and Just Shoot Me (#1, Cowboy Way).  There pretty doggone hot and funny, or so I’ve been told.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?Depends on my mood really.  I love Coronas and anything with Absolut vodka, especially dirty martinis...the dirtier the better.  Really, really dirty.  Did I say dirty?
Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect?Well, I’ll be one of the sinners at the Sloth table with Julie Morgan.  I’ll have to research that sin more to figure out something unique for myself.  My husband shouldn’t have any problem coming up with his costume though.  He’ll just wear his normal lounging outfit, which includes his hideous, two-sizes-too-big Duck Dynasty clogs, which I’ve tried to throw out five times now.  I swear those shoes are possessed.  They keep coming back.  Even when I personally threw them in the trash on trash day, they reappeared.  Might as well make use of them!  I’m sure he won’t mind.  Psst--maybe I’ll accidentally forget them at the hotel when we leave?
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?I’m flying in, and bringing as much as Southwest will allow in my extra two bags.  That will include a hundred pounds of Troublemaker buttons, Trouble With the Law ink pens, Trouble With the Law t-shirts, a few Cowboys Are My Kryptonite t-shirts, Cowboy Way/Texas Trouble keytags--and drum roll--the absolute coolest 50” x 60” Texas Trouble throw blankets with all my covers on them.  I’ll be raffling one off at my table and giving one to Stella to give away as a welcome prize.  Bribe, bribe...please stop by.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell? #11 Texas Trouble In my Texas Trouble Series, I’ll have My Kind of Trouble (#1), Worth the Trouble (#9), Royal Trouble (#10), Trouble With The Law (#11), and Borrowing Trouble (#12).  In my Cowboy Way Series, I’ll have Santa Wore Spurs (novella in anthology spins off into series), Just Shoot me (#1) and most likely Cowgirl Crazy (#2).Where can readers find you?www.facebook.com/beckymcgrawbookswww.amazon.com/author/beckymcgrawwww.beckymcgraw.combeckymcgraw@gmail.com

Plus this year’s event is close to where I live. So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? It’s a New Adult Paranormal Romance called The Wolf Who Played With Fire, and it’s the third installment in my Cry Wolf series. The novel features a novice witch and her hunky werewolf-to-be boyfriend. There’s mystery, adventure, and sexy times. The Witch Who Cried Wolf If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?I’d probably suggest The Witch Who Cried Wolf to the AAD attendee because it’s the first book in my Cry Wolf series, and the newest book is coming out in June 2014.What panels will you be on at AAD?I’ll be on the New Adult: Jerk of my Dreams and New Adult: A Genre Overview panels. Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Lynne Silver

AAD Featured Author Interview: Lynne Silver

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Lynne Silver!

Is this your first year attending AAD?
Yes! I’m an AAD VIRGIN!

What made you want to come to AAD?
I’ve heard it’s the best party around, and a great way for authors & readers to interact.

So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?
Gosh, I don’t know. Is there a comfy couch in a lounge where everyone can chat and snack? Cause that’s my speed.  C4L_logo_RGB Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about? I *should* have a novella from my Coded for Love series coming out this summer. AND I’m in an amazing anthology called Brought to His Knees by Love with 10 other authors (some of whom will also be at AAD!) That will be out a few days following the con.  Desperate_Match_cover_small
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
Desperate Match- for sure. Reviewers and readers are saying it’s their favorite book I’ve written, and I agree. It’s unbelievable emotional and sexy.

What panels will you be on at AAD?
I’ll be talking about the Geek Hero (too bad Mr. Silver couldn’t come along as my model) and I’ll participate in the indie author panel, and in the Science fiction/fantasy panel.

If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
Do I get kicked out of the party if I admit to wanting a Shirley Temple? I like wine, sadly, it doesn’t like me.

Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect?
I know I’m sitting at Stacey Kennedy’s wrath table, and I’ve GOT to brainstorm something quick. I kinda suck at costumes. I was the kid on Halloween wearing my dad’s old flannel and calling it a hobo costume.  Ambitious journalist, Loren Stanton, is desperate to earn a much desired front page byline. Fate provides her the opportunity when she witnesses an ambassador’s son’s kidnapping. Her investigation takes her to the compound of the Program, a U.S. military branch breeding genetically enhanced soldiers, where she triggers a genetic reaction in soldier, Adam Blacker. The DNA-deep connection binds them together, even while their brains tell them to keep apart. Loren must choose between life as she knows it and a dangerous, passionate world with a man who isn’t what she was looking for, but may be everything she needs. SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?
I’ll be raffling off a silver DNA helix necklace. (I have one too. Twinsies!). Of course I’ve got bookmarks, and other fun stuff.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell? I’ll have Heated Match, book 1 in Coded for Love, and I will give away a few copies of Desperate Match to some lucky readers.

Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Kiernan Kelly

AAD Featured Author Interview: Kiernan Kelly

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Kiernan Kelly! What brings you back to AAD?  Last year was my first year, and I had such a fantastic time that immediately added the next AAD to my schedule for this year. I’ve attended lots of conventions, but never one as fun as this one! If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?Ooh, that’s a difficult question. My cowboy novel, Riding Heartbreak Road, holds a special place in my heart because it was my first, but I have a special love for Outland, because the characters are not the typical six-packed, ruggedly handsome heroes one usually sees in romances. In Outland, my guys are both over 50, a little paunchy, and have been together for over 25 years. In truth, they’re my husband and me. I even said so in the dedication!Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!I am helping host the welcome party, along with BA Tortuga and Julia Talbot. It’s going to have a western theme (everybody loves cowboys!) to go along with the anthology the three of us have coming out in time for AAD that’s called “Midnight Rodeo.” It’s a western paranormal theme. In any case, rumor has it that there’ll be food, swag, and -- gasp -- a genuine mechanical bucking bull at the party! What panels will you be on at AAD?I’m on almost all the GLBT panels, plus any others where a warm body might be needed. I love doing panels, and had a blast doing them at last year’s AAD.  It’s addictive. SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?I’m not sure yet, but probably something western-inspired. Or alcohol-inspired. Or both. We’ll see. Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Bianca Sommerland

AAD Featured Author Interview: Bianca Sommerland  Picture
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Bianca Sommerland!

Is this your first year attending AAD?
No, this will be my second. I made it down to Savannah in 2013. :)

What brings you back to AAD?
Even as a nonfeatured author I was able to meet so many new readers and make some awesome connections. AAD is more intimate than any of the other events I’ve been to and it’s now one of my automatic go-to events.

Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
YES! lol! IRON CROSS (The Dartmouth Cobras #6) will be out and in print for the naughty bunnies who love the boys. I can’t think of a better place to celebrate a new release than AAD!

A little ambitious, but I’m hoping the last book in the Deadly Captive trilogy will be out as well. It’s going to be a busy summer! lol!

Click to Buy If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
Grab the first book in the Dartmouth Cobras’ series, GAME MISCONDUCT! http://amzn.com/B00772HW1O It’s FREE so it’s easy to recommend--well, that and it’s a great mix of hockey, BDSM, and menage. Tons of edgy, kinky fun if you’re into that kinda stuff. ;)

If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
I’m not picky, but you can’t go wrong with whiskey!

Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect?
Here’s a hint for you. Let’s see if the poetically inclined catch it! lol!

“Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore.”

Where can readers find you?
All over the place! lol! I spend more time on Facebook than anywhere else, but I’m known to pop on twitter randomly. :)

Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Carrie Clevenger

AAD Featured Author Interview: Carrie Clevenger

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Carrie Clevenger!

Is this your first year attending AAD?
Although the dark is my constant companion, this is my first year seeing authors after it.

What made you want to come to AAD?
I’d heard quite a bit about AAD from friends in the industry and it fits my scope of writing for the most part. I’m hoping to make new friends and am absolutely ecstatic that I already have readers making plans to come to see me.  If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
My current offering is the Crooked Fang series, with the book titles of Crooked Fang, Traitors and a special tie-in novella with my long-time co-writer and editor, Blood and Fire. I’d recommend readers start with Crooked Fang, although Traitors was written as a self-contained novella to the extent that one wouldn’t be completely baffled if they decided to start there.

If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
I wonder if I can get a good Mexican martini in North Carolina...Blue Moon beer, whiskey and cola, or Guinness.

Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect?
Seeing myself in the mirror today suggests that “cavewoman” might be the easiest option.
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?
I have Traitors and Crooked Fang postcards, but am looking at also handy-dandy fridge sticker-uppers (magnets) and quite possibly, ink pens. People do still use actual writing tools, yes?

We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?
Crooked Fang and Traitors, for certain. I hope to also have a few copies of Blood and Fire.

Where can readers find you?
Aside from Googling me like my family has, people seeking me out can find me fairly easily on the Twitters as @carrieclevenger, view and explore Crooked Fang as a separate (my precioush) universe at http://www.crookedfang.com/ and read stories from my archive of flash fiction/endure my occasional rants at http://www.carrieclevengerstories.com/
Fans of Crooked Fang can certainly go like the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CrookedFang
I also write purely erotic works as Annice Sands, though I’m still establishing that author path. Fledgling sites are @annicesands on Twitter and Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/annicesandserotics

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Becca Jameson!

Is this your first year attending AAD? Yes

What made you want to come to AAD? Sidney Bristol told me about it! You might know her...hehe.

Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about? Come. The first book in The Fight Club series. It’s a steaming hot, six-book series that features six guys who not only work out at the same gym as MMA fighters, but also belong to the same BDSM club. Come-Becca_Jameson-500x800 If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be? Come, which releases July 3 as e-book and will also quickly be available in print. In fact, I will have about 100 copies with me at AAD to give away at the luncheon held on Thursday!

Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD! I’ll be hosting a luncheon on Thursday with four other authors: Sasha White, Opal Carew, Bianca D’Arc, and Delilah Devlin.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison? I’m a red wine gal! SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing? Ooh! I have drawstring bags. They are purple! Come find me and make one of them yours! They say: Becca Jameson...where Alphas dominate… Since I’m both a wolf girl and a BDSM girl!Where can readers find you?
