Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Jess Michaels! Is this your first year attending AAD?It is my first year for AAD and I’m super excited! What made you want to come to AAD?I just really wanted to attend some reader conferences this year and have a bunch of fun, so where else would I go? AAD.So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?I’ll probably be lurking about in the lobby and the bar looking for fun and chats. I’m nice, I promise, so if you see me I hope you’ll come and say hi.
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about? The first book in my new series, The Ladies Book of Pleasures, will be out July 15. It’s called A MATTER OF SIN and is an erotic historical romance set in the Regency era. It centers around a very scandalous book that is sweeping London Society. If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?If you’ve never read me, A MATTER OF SIN may be the PERFECT book to start with since it’s the beginning of a new series. And the books will come out very quickly. Book 2, A Moment of Passion, will be out in October and Book 3, A Measure of Deceit, will hit shelves in December. But I’ll also have paperback copies of the first book in my last series, The Pleasure Wars, at the signing. It’s called TAKEN BY THE DUKE and is one of my very best sellers and a favorite amongst my readers.
Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!Saturday is actually my birthday so on Saturday night I will be hosting a birthday party in a room right next to the Sins and Virtues party! So when the music starts and you need a break I hope you’ll come next door for party favors and games and a chance to win a big old basket of awesome from me. SWAG. We all love SWAG! AAD Featured Author Interview: Catherine Gayle
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Catherine Gayle!
Is this your first year attending AAD?
Yes, it is! I’ve thought about attending in the past, but I’ve always had conflicts or something else getting in the way. I’m excited, because I’ve heard great things about AAD. Let’s get the party started!
What made you want to come to AAD?
I’ve heard so much about it from so many people--authors and readers alike--and I wanted to see it for myself.
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
LIGHT THE LAMP, book 3 in my Portland Storm hockey romance series, is releasing on June 12, so it will be the newest release. I’ll have copies with me!
Also, the 4th book in the series--DELAY OF GAME--will release just after AAD on August 11. I might have a few ARCs on hand, but no promises.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
SEDUCED BY THE GAME is a hockey romance anthology with eight novellas written by nine authors (three of us will be at AAD! Me, Bianca Sommerland, and Jami Davenport), and it is done all for charity. The authors are all proud sponsors of Hockey Fights Cancer, and that is where we are donating all--yes, ALL--of the royalties we earn from sales of this book. We’ll have copies on hand! It’s a great book, and it’s for a great cause, so be sure you find us to get your copy and have us sign it.
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?
Hockey puck stress ball key chains! I’m working on some other fun stuff, but none of the rest is confirmed yet.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?
I’ll have copies of BREAKAWAY, ON THE FLY, LIGHT THE LAMP, and SEDUCED BY THE GAME from my Portland Storm hockey romance series, and I will probably bring a few copies of some of my historical romances, as well.

LIGHT THE LAMP, book 3 in my Portland Storm hockey romance series, is releasing on June 12, so it will be the newest release. I’ll have copies with me!
Life’s been rough lately for Noelle Payne, but she’s not one to let negativity rule. So, she lost her job? She’ll find another one. The bank foreclosed on the house? Well, she can live out of her car for a while. There’s always an upside to be found…but now Noelle needs to find something to give her life meaning. She owes it to the universe to figure it out, too, because a stranger just saved her life.
When Liam Kallen’s wife died, his goal-scoring ability died with her. After a trade from the only pro hockey team he’s ever played for, he’s now playing for the NHL’s Portland Storm. Everyone said he needed a change of scenery, but nothing changes until he rescues Noelle. All of a sudden, the world once again looks bright and he’s lighting the lamp like he used to.
Noelle’s cheerful disposition is just the bit of sunlight Liam needs in his life. He wants to give her everything she needs because she’s everything he wants. The problem? She doesn’t believe she needs anything…at least nothing material. The one thing they both know she truly needs—a real purpose—also happens to be the one thing he doesn’t know how to give her. If he can’t help her find that, she might walk away and take all her sunshine with her.
Also, the 4th book in the series--DELAY OF GAME--will release just after AAD on August 11. I might have a few ARCs on hand, but no promises.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Jaycee DeLorenzo
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Jaycee DeLorenzo!
Is this your first year attending AAD?
Yes! And saying I’m excited is an understatement.
What made you want to come to AAD?
I’ve been hearing about this conference for years and how it’s a wonderful opportunity to mingle with readers. I met Stella at the New Adult Sleepover Weekend in Savannah last December, and she really talked it up, so the moment some featured authors spots opened I, I jumped on the chance to attend. I’m looking forward to meeting readers, making friends, and experiencing all I’ve heard it has to offer. Plus, I have to admit, some of my favorite authors are also going, so I’ll be fangirling like a gigantic dork.
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?
Yes to the bar and lobby. Come find me and say hi. Lets have a drink and chat!
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
I’m working hard on the next book in my Riordan College Series, A Love Less Perfect, and I’m planning to really bury my nose the next few weeks and get it done and ready for distribution, even if it’s only in ebook form.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
I only have one book out now: The Truths about Dating and Mating. I know, I know, it sounds like a self-help book, but don’t let the title fool you. It’s about a radio station program that goes by that title, hosted by my colorful characters, Ian and Ivy.
Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!
I’ll be part of the game room on Friday night. Come play with me and win some fun swag and prizes! I’ll also be part of the ribbon scavenger hunt.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
It varies, but I do love White Russians or Bourbon and Diet Cokes.
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?
Yes, I love buying and giving away swag. So far, I have stylus pens, lip balms, ear buds, candy, magnets, key chains, digital copies of my book and...well, probably more because like I said, I love buying and giving away swag. It’s kind of an addiction.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?
Guaranteed, I’ll have The Truths about Dating and Mating.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Boone Brux
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Boone Brux!
Is this your first year attending AAD?
No, this will be my third glorious year! Whoot!
What brings you back to AAD?
I love the variety Authors After Dark offers. Balls, gatherings, fun panels, and lots of opportunity to not only promote my books, but interact with readers. And I love to dress up. Who doesn't? Am I right?
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?
I'm definitely in the bar. Plus I'll be on several panels and I'm one of the hosting authors of the Sins and Virtue Ball. Lust, come join me on the dark side.
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
Maybe. It depends if I get my ass in gear. Hopefully the next installment of my Grim Reality Reaper series, Styx and Stoned will be out. And there's a possibility that my book, Properly Groomed from Entangled Lovestuck line may be hitting some time in August.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
To Catch Her Death. It's a fun urban fantasy about a widowed mother of three who accidentally becomes a grim reaper. Her clients are people who died in stupid ways. Her daughter's story run tandems with the mothers in her own young adult series, but all the books are related.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
I never met a drink I didn't like.
Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect?
I have really fun ones this year. I'm Lust for the Sins and Virtue Ball and let's just say my costume is all about where lust first began. For the Paranomal Party I'm coming as one of my characters from my reaper series, but you'll never guess which one.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Saranna DeWylde
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Saranna DeWylde!
Thanks so much for having me. Last year’s con was so much fun, I know this year will be a blast too. I may or may not have been live tweeted talking about what I’d do with a dick if I had one (stick it everywhere) and gotten caught doing inappropriate things with the dicksucker (yeah, it’s a real thing) that I won at the cock ring toss. Wow, there’s a lot of penis in this first paragraph for a convention that’s made up of mostly women. We won’t talk about the adorable little army boys that some of us were sharpening our claws on last year. *tries to look innocent*
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?
All of the above. I can always be counted on for a good time and I’m usually up for anything. I do spend a lot of time in the bar because that’s where most everyone hangs out at conventions. If you see me, even if I’m talking with someone, say hey. That’s why I go to these cons. I want to meet readers and other authors. I only bite on request. Unless you’re Alex Skarsgard and then, sorry. All bets are off, you’re getting nibbled. Or Richard Armitage. Or… okay, maybe I do bite. But you’ll like it.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
My newest release is titled Fat. It’s a different kind of romance. It’s about learning to fall in love with yourself. It was a very personal book for me to write. A lot of the heroine’s conflicts are my conflicts. The voice she has on a constant loop in her head telling her that she’s not smart enough, not pretty enough, not thin enough… just not enough. I’ve dealt with that my whole life and a few years ago, I decided to evict that bitch. She has no place in my life and I don’t want to hear her voice. It’s a process and some days, I don’t hear her at all. Others… she’s really loud.
I was both heartened and saddened to hear that other people have this same loop, the same doubts, the same pain. I’ve gotten great feedback from a lot of people and I think it’s helped a lot of us to realize we’re not alone.
FAT
I will have hard copies on hand at the signing. I’m hoping to have the second book in the series available as well.
I heard through the grapevine you’re sponsoring a table at the Sins & Virtues ball. Tell us more!
Desiree Holt and I are going as Gluttony. I think Gluttony is kind of a virtue because when you’re a glutton, you get to experience everything that life has to offer. You fill yourself up with everything life has to offer and then some. I think that’s what life’s about.
I’m very excited to share the absinthe truffles and some other treats I have for my guests that embody the sin/virtue of gluttony. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
I’ve recently gotten into tequila. I didn’t know that tequila was an art and a craft. My favorite tequila is Avion and it’s meant for sipping, not shooting. You can hang out with me and my first tequila tasting here:
The Education of a Tequila Drinker With Lisa Pietsch, Mike Morales and Saranna DeWylde

FAT
http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Labels-Sara...“You’re pretty, for a fat girl.”
That’s nothing Claire Howard hasn’t heard before, and there’s part of her that doesn’t care, that thinks it’s okay to love herself just the way she is. Then there’s that other voice in her head, the one that plays on a constant loop that gets louder whenever people scrutinize her dinner order, snicker when she needs a belt extender on a plane, and outright laugh when they see her with her the kind of man they don’t think fat girls deserve. It reminds her that existing while fat is the worst thing in the world. It’s worse than being ignorant, bigoted or cruel—at least according to society’s standards. Even when she has the attentions of two men who are the embodiment of fantasy.
But it’s not their love that matters, it’s her own. Fat is a brand that’s been seared into every aspect of her life—even her heart. Can Claire love herself enough to reach past the labels for her own happiness?
I will have hard copies on hand at the signing. I’m hoping to have the second book in the series available as well.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Lavinia Kent
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Lavinia Kent!
Is this your first year attending AAD?
Yes, this is my first year at AAD. I’m really looking forward to it, but a little nervous. It always takes me a day or two to get used to something new.
What made you want to come to AAD?
A friend asked me if I was interested. I said yes, without really knowing what it was. I love reader events, and I’m always happy to visit a new one. Once I looked AAD up and understood what I’d agreed to, I was thrilled. I can’t wait to finish my Sins and Virtues costume and join in the fun.
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in her room?
All of the above. I normally progress from the bar to the room, although many times I never make it further than the bar. How can I leave if there’s a good book discussion going on?
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
My book, Mastering the Marquess, comes out at the end of July. It’s the first time I’ve written a truly erotic romance. I started out just working on another hot historical, but my fingers (and characters) just ran away with the story -- taking me places I’d never been.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
Definitely my July release, Mastering the Marquess.
“Can you imagine a willing woman who knows nothing, a woman who knows only what you teach her, a woman who doesn't even know that pleasure exists?” This is the question that my hero, an outwardly staid marquess, gets asked, and finds he cannot resist answering. The night that follows surpasses anything he, or my heroine, had ever imagined.
One of my critique partners is still mystified that I managed to write something that is so hot and still sweet. I loved writing sex scenes that really helped the characters work through their problems and understand aspects of their personalities they didn’t even know about themselves.
Mastering the Marquess. It’s hot. It’s funny. It’s dark. It’s sweet. It’s sensuous. It’s . . . . What’s not to like?
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
I drink everything. I’m most often found with a glass of Pinot in my hand, but I love a good Lemon Drop or Cosmo. And I never pass up Tequila or Margaritas. Plus, I grew up in Wisconsin, so I can drink beer like water.
Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect?
RED. RED. RED.
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?
I really wanted to have matchbooks made up, but was shocked at how long the order time was. I’m working on a couple of other ideas, but you’ll have to wait and see.

Authors After Dark Featured Author Interview: Desiree Holt
AAD Featured Author Interview: Desiree Holt
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Desiree Holt! Is this your first year attending AAD?Yes, it is, and I’m very excited about it. I have heard such great things about it from both autghors and readers. What made you want to come to AAD?Both my street team leader and author friends who have attended kept telling me what a special event it is. Authors recommended it as a great venue to connect with readers on a personal level, which of course is very important to me.
So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room? Not throwing a party in my room this year but I am hosting one of the tables at the ball. Lust, of course, with the fabulous Saranna DeWylde. I am also in the scavenger hunt, the ribbon party and on three separate panels. The rest of the time, yeah *wink*, hanging out in the bar.
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?I just had a release, Ride the Mustang, part of the SEALs Going Hot series, and Spurred to Submission releases in June. Also I’d love for them to check out Beyond Addiction, which just came out from Ellora’s Cave. That was a tough, very intense book to write. And I’d also like them to keep an eye out for Finding Julia, out in September. My first release with Kensington.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?Wow. Let me think. It’s really hard for me to choose and I’m torn between two: Aftershock and Beyond Addiction. One is an intense love story and the other a very intense BDSM love story. They represent both sides of my writing.
Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!I heard through the grapevine you’re sponsoring a table at the Sins & Virtues ball. Tell us more!Yes, hosting with Saranna DeWylde. The Lust, table, of course. We will have favors for our readers and it gives me a chance to chat with readers on a more intimate basis.
What panels will you be on at AAD?I’m on three of them: BDSM-Where To Start; Erotica; and Sports, which is great because I am just starting a football series for Kensington.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?Jack Daniel's with a splash of water. Jack and I are old friends!
Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect? It’s a big secret! *wink*
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?Still working on that with my street team leader but it will all revolve around my Naked Cowboys and my Phoenix Agency. Although I may have the first Finding Julia swag, too. Think tote bags, clips, buttons, maybe even special key chains.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell? Most likely my Phoenix Agency series, which has been a huge hit.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Jenn LeBlanc

Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
My most recent book came out in April, and it’s called ABSOLUTE SURRENDER. It’s the story of a woman with mental illness, who is doing her best to marry the man she was promised to before he discovers there’s something wrong with her, all while her best friend attempts to ruin their progress to keep her for himself. It’s truly a very different kind of historical… and it may start out a love triangle, but ti somehow ends up a ménage, even as the guys are rivals and don’t like each other.

Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!I am one of the authors hosting the Sins and Virtues ball… which should be amazing.
I heard through the grapevine you’re sponsoring a table at the Sins & Virtues ball. Tell us more!My table is CHASTITY… which should get very interesting, and wicked.
What panels will you be on at AAD?I am on the following panels: Humor (because who doesn’t love to giggle), Sexy Sexy Sexy (because who doesn’t love… yeah why do we read romance?), History Unlaced (because I do write true historicals, requiring research and the whole shebang), Cover Art (because I’m also a cover photographer) and Historical Romance (back to the whole history thing, and history as a character in the book)

SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?I CAN’T SAY. It’s a huge HUGE HUGE secret that has been trying it’s level best to make it’s way out into the real world. But it’s amazing, involves an artist who is incredible, and some original artwork. I guarantee you haven’t seen anything like this.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?I will have ABSOLUTE SURRENDER and THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE both in limited supply AT the signing unless you have preordered them from my website. I currently have a few of the special editions of ABSOLUTE SURRENDER still available, signed by the cast if you’d like to guarantee yours.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Selene Grace Silver
Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Selene Grace Silver!Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?I’m thrilled about my paranormal novel The Binding of Adara which just released (June 2014). It’s part of a series about a large clan of witches and warlocks who can shift their present timeline to an alternate reality at will. (The first title in the series is a novella, Brianna’s Bewitching, available exclusively on Amazon.) As I conceptualized the series, I wondered what witchcraft would look like filtered through the science of physics, so the stories position themselves at the crossroads of contemporary, paranormal, futuristic and erotic romance.
What panels will you be on at AAD?I’m excited to be on panels discussing topics close to my heart including: Great Geeky Heroes (love how brilliant intellects are often countered by inept relationship skills); Contemporary Romance; Gods and Magic; and I’m on a panel that sounds perfectly naughty--If It Feels Good. The conversation in that sexy-sounding session is likely to be outrageous and entertaining. All of these panel topics link together strongly in my stories. If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?Dirty Vodka Martini, naturally, with extra olives. I love salty things. After all, I do write sexy romances.Everyone loves the conference costumes. Can you give any hints about what to expect? It’ll be appropriately categorized under sins rather than under virtues. I plan to be angelic after I die.SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing? The best thing of all for a conference all about readers: free (digital) books. I also have some awesome collectibles from my paranormal series to hand out.
