The Stripper
For many years, I drove everyday – at least once and sometime twice – from The woodlands, TX to the center of Houston. In all of that time, I would listen to the radio and curse that most often, the song played would be never said. I hate that. Anyway, recently, I found out that many of the songs that I enjoyed were by a British band called Bush. Yep- almost all those songs that I itched to know – who? Bush!
Strange. There I am in the US and its British music I adore – though I didn’t know it then.
It reminds me of a trip I made there for a week and the Partner of our firm took me – somewhat reluctantly – to a strip club. Now in the US, this means topless dancers. My reaction was basically Yawn – Have you been on a European beach? Despite that, the night passed with the partner asking me to chose a girl for a table dance. Partly out of embarrassment, and partly out of shyness, I could not. Pressured to make the decision as 2am approached, I finally did so. I do not know what it was, why I picked her, but I did. The Partner asked her to our table and we started to talk. She told me she was from Hull. I laughed at the irony… so am I, I said. The partner was unhappy. Who cares?
It just shows how decisions we make sometimes seem to have extra relevance… just like my taste in music….

My Haunted Life Now On audio Book
The Magical World of G. Michael Vasey.
Project Some Love…
In the recent past few months there seems to be so much fear, hate and misplaced anger around. It is everywhere – politics, social media, the news…… I reckon its all done to control us and stop us from reaching our potential and destiny. The more afraid we are the more negative our thoughts….Those thoughts are an energy that ripples out into the matrix of reality and colors everything they touch.
Well, you know, there are enough people doing this – projecting fear and negativity and hate so why don’t you and I do something different. I am an Aquarian after all and therefore a tad different but I reckon it might be fun and spiteful on all the doom and gloomers, hate and divide and woe is me merchants just to project some love, hope and charity instead. It’s not that difficult to do and it will have an impact…..
Are you with me?

The Pink Bus
The Pink Bus and Other strange Tales from LaLa Land actually got its start a long time ago. I wrote a short story right into this blog around Christmas 2014 called The Meaning of Christmas and thought I’d keep a copy in my desktop folder just in case. I went back to it a few times, tweaked it, edited it and so on but couldn’t really think how to build upon it. Then, as things do, a few weeks ago, I started writing short stories. They simply poured out of me one after the other and they all seemed to be themed around death, reincarnation, ghosts and supernatural activity and the meaning of life in general. That was when I saw where the Meaning of Christmas belonged….
I honestly think it is some of my best writing. Wether anyone agrees or not I don’t really care as I think it is my best writing work so far and that’s what counts. Will it sell? I hope so and we will see.
Of course, the final version of The Meaning of Christmas is a very edited version of the original so, just to whet you appetite, here is the Meaning of Christmas from The Pink Bus…..
The Meaning of Christmas
The scene was a familiar one: A Street filled with people hustling and bustling and jostling each other as they hurriedly made their way through the crowd. Their breath hung in the freezing air like little trails of wood smoke. The street was lit, in the darkness of the winter’s late afternoon, by the gaily-coloured Christmas lights hanging from each lamp and in the shop windows. With just a few days left until the holiday, these were the ‘last-minuters’ – those who were increasingly desperate to grab their last few bargains and presents.
Phillip watched in silence. The scene had a surreal quality about it. He observed the anxious faces of people who, in some instances, could ill -afford the presents they were trying to purchase. He watched with an increasing understanding of each individual’s particular set of dilemmas. Everyone has a cross to bear. He felt sorry for the single mother, loaded down with two excitable, young children. He knew that she had little money and even less self-confidence and yet, her kids’ eyes shone with excitement. It would be a meagre Christmas for them, but they were excited all the same.
He observed an older man silently gazing into the window of a jewellery shop and he realized that the man was crying. He was crying and aching inside because he faced his first Christmas alone in over forty-years and he had just noticed a ladies’ watch that looked very much like the one he had bought his wife for Christmas the previous year. She had now been dead four months, and the pain of it still wracked his heart. He hadn’t a clue how he would get through the holiday without her.
He watched the street entertainer playing guitar and singing and he understood just how cold his fingers were in the freezing air. He was hoping that these shoppers could spare enough change for him to have a hot meal. There would be no turkey and trimmings for him this year. No sitting in the warmth around a brightly lit tree. He would be lucky to find a warm place to sleep and maybe a small bottle of rum to keep him warm through the night.
And yet, in all of the mayhem and the personal stories of life – sadness, happiness, stress, worry and all of those other emotions- Phillip understood something else as he watched the scene play out in front of him that night: He understood the meaning of Christmas.
He understood finally that it wasn’t about gifts, the giving or receiving. It wasn’t about the lights, the trees or the big movie on television. Christmas, he now knew, was about hope. It was about the hope – and the faith that people could learn to love each other. It was about the little things that came from love, hope and charity. It was about the humanity behind Humanity and its potential for good.
He could understand this now in the light of the love that he could see glowing, more strongly or weakly depending upon the individual, around those people in the street. The brightness of it gave him hope. Even now, the brightness was growing and in that light he could see his father smiling. It was time to go.
He took another look at his body, crushed and deformed by the tram that had hit him moments ago, and at the people gathered around it trying to revive him. Then, he moved towards the Light. He grasped the hand of his father and was pulled into a hug as the Light enveloped him and the scene faded for all eternity.

All Aboard The Magical Mystery Tour On The Pink Bus!
The Pink Bus and Other Strange Tales From LaLa Land is out on Kindle and an audio book is also in the works already narrated by Lorraine Ansell.
Thrill to the strangeness, and humor, of the pink bus; shiver and shudder at the creepy mirror antics faced by Andrew; delight in the tale of Deja Vu – and wonder to yourselves about the nature of reality, the capabilities (so often under-utilised) of human beings and the mysteries of dreaming, life and death.
Have you ever asked yourself, “What happens when I die? If I just cease to exist then what was the point?”
If you have these vignettes/short stories will entertain you. You see, I’m still trying to answer those questions and, with my inquiring nature, I have developed all sorts of ideas and thoughts about what reality might be and what may happen when we die. On the other hand, these may be simply imaginings and may bear no actual resemblance to the final truth – whatever that is. LaLa land is that place we go in our imagination when we daydream – It is a land full of magic, mystery and endless alternatives as well as perhaps an answer or two.
So, buy your ticket to ride on the Pink Bus and take the reality tour of a lifetime through LaLa Land. All aboard for a magical, mystery, tour.

Magical Books
For anyone interested in magic, I want to outline the three books that I have written or co-written on the topic and why you might consider reading them.
If you have always had a passing interest in magic, alchemy and the occult in general then you might want to look at my very first book – Inner Journeys: Explorations of the Soul published in 2006 by Thoth. It is available in paperback and Kindle formats. The book is autobiographical in that I try to paint a picture of my childhood and background in which poltergeist and ghosts caused me all sorts of issues. As I grew up, I developed an interest in the occult but other then reading avidly I did nothing about it until about 15-years ago when I discovered a school of magic and took its 5-year correspondence course. The book outlines what I learned and how I changed undertaking the course. It will provide anyone with some concept of how it all works…. and it is on the Servants of the Light recommended reading list too.
Next, if you already dabbled your toes in the magical waters and are needing some basics around what magic is and how to work it, you might try my short book titled – How To Create Your Own Reality. Apparently, several people who have read this have discovered the magic in the world already. It is available in Kindle, paperback and even audio book formats.
Finally, for the advanced practioner interested in symbols and their use/meaning there is The Mystical Hexagram written with Sue Vincent. This book will take you through a detailed review of the hexagram as a key to unlocking several layers of meaning in areas of magic such as the Elements, the Tarot, Alchemy and the Tree of Life. It comes complete with exercises and a whole host of brilliant insights into the Tree of Life by Sue previously unpublished anywhere. It is available in Kindle and paperback formats.
The latter two books may also be loaned via the Amazon Prime program.

Three Words Guaranteed To Send Me Into Apoplexy
Like so many other wanna be magicians, I do try to work on myself – flaws and weaknesses – at least those I am aware of. One of my flaws is certainly that I have a quick temper. I can light up like an explosion with anger and yet 45 seconds later, have forgotten all about it. I.e. My temper is quick and there are few long lasting effects unless of course, my tongue operated without the brain…. which, in an outbreak of temper is often the case. I am trying to work on this for I know I need to.
There are three words however, that despite my best attempt, will cause an immediate explosion of magnitude 10. What are they? Climate Change Denier. Yes, if you want to see Vasey go off without a fuse just say those three words – in any context. It does not matter.
‘Climate change denier’ has become the catch phrase of the moral but uninformed majority. It’s pseudo religious political slang used at every conceivable opportunity to kill any debate around a very key issue. It has become the replacement for the equally obnoxious and ridiculous ‘The science is proven’ (philosophically incorrect in any usage and totally unacceptably incorrect when applied to climate change). That a large section of society has taken up with the use of these throw away absurdities is beyond reason but totally in line with the continuous dumbing down of society.
The ‘science’ of climate change has been hijacked by people who see it as a gravy train quite honestly and such phrases are meant to stub out any discussion or dissent of any kind just as scientific journals are patrolled by climate change Nazis who will not allow any dissent nor argument in their hallowed pages, by grant funding committees who will not fund any research that might rock the boat. This isn’t science – this is totalitarianism.
I will admit that my anger stems from the fact that those three words are so effective at shutting down dissent. It’s the equivalent of calling someone a luddite or a caveman.
So let me lay it out once and for all.
Anyone who thinks the climate isn’t changing is a nut job. It is that simple. we live on a living, dynamic and constantly changing planet. The climate has changed through geological time and will change in the future. It changes year to year, decade to decade and Aeon to Aeon. When it stops changing understand that is the end of us for it will mean our planet is dead. Like Monty Pythons’ parrot.
Those of us that wish to debate the ‘climate change’ issue don’t desire to question something so obvious as the fact that climate changes. No, we wish to debate the mechanism that is behind the change and when it comes to that, there is a whole debate to be had and no, the science is not proven in any way shape or form.
The very idea that all we have to do is ‘freeze’ and then lower CO2 in order to ‘control’ climate is so utterly preposterous and laughable that quite frankly it is as dangerous as suggesting that the rapture is a real future phenomena. No – if you subscribe to either you are quite honestly a total nut job. CO2 may have some impact. It may not. The evidence from the geological record suggests that actually atmospheric CO2 rises and falls in response to temperature variation meaning that temperature is a function of some other set of conditions.
On the question of whether man impacts climate? Of course man impacts climate. By creating concrete jungles, we are creating heat spots all over the world.
Does this mean then that we shouldn’t invest substantially and rapidly in renewables and efficiency? Only a crazy person wouldn’t want to preserve fossil fuels – the source of almost everything we take for granted – plastics, clothing, medicines and so much more. Burning crude oil is such a waste of an essential and valuable resource it ought to be a crime.
So, be very wary… call me a climate change denier and see the steam come from my ears……

Time and The Dream
Last night I had one of those dreams that has you questioning everything. The alarm went off and I woke up. On waking, I recalled that I had just been dreaming and that the dream had been about setting the alarm.
Now at first sight, this perhaps isn’t so puzzling but, when you think a bit deeper about it it most certainly is. I woke up as the alarm started to sound yet in the prior moments, I was dreaming about setting that very alarm. Exactly how does that work?
Could it be that future events create our past and this is some type of evidence of it? Was the dream experienced as the alarm went off and only seemed to take place before it woke me up? Did I somehow anticipate the alarm going off and create a dream about it in anticipation? If so, how?
This is the kind of mystery that drives me nuts. How is it possible that my dream, experienced before an event takes place, is anticipating that very event taking place?
Answers on a postcard please to me here in Brno where I sit puzzled……
