I finally recorded a new song and honestly this is my fastest ever…. it took me 4 hours to write, record, mix and issue….

No, I haven’t met someone… I actually wrote the lyrics in 1982! Even the chord structure is from 1982 as well. I finally finished it and I must say – I like it!

The final part of the Connecting with the magic of the land trilogy is now out.

The journey of discovery continues via the invocation of and meditation on the Slavic goddesses Morana and Vesna through the three Moons of winter and three Moons of Spring. The Goddess of winter and death followed by the goddess of spring and fertility. The outer life mimics the inner life through the long COVID-19 lockdown and colder than usual gloomy winter into an epic battle between winter and spring.

Like the Hero’s journey, I descended into the depths of the underworld with Morana but did I emerge again with anything of value? An initiation of self that echoed the duality of polarity, the change of the seasons, and much more. I emerged a different person in many ways on the way discovering connections between earth energies and the ancient Slavs.

Chasing Dragons in Moravia

I have just completed a follow up to Chasing the Shaman that I have called Chasing Dragons in Moravia. It’s already out on Kindle and shortly, the paperback will also be available – it includes photographs. It’s not overlong but I hope it is an interesting account of the last 6 months or so in which I took on the forms of Slavic gods Perun and Veles….. and yes, weird things did happen.











The funny thing is that as I pulled this together from blog posts, notes and so on, it all fell into place like a jigsaw. It was an easy write because I suddenly understood all of the connections. And what could the connections be between Moravian stone circles and Churches, Castles guarding the gates of hell and these dual gods of the Slavic pantheon. Well…. quite a lot and most of it is in the book.





I’m now off on another journey – I’m going to explore some Slavic Goddesses. I have no idea what will happen but sometimes, I just dream about meeting an aspect of the goddess in a forest here and being enticed off to another world. So if I simply disappear. Slavic Tales

A new book of poems out on Kindle and I may add the paperback later…. These are my most recent musings and seem to deal primarily with aspects of Slavic spirituality and the inner self. This last year I was investigating the Slavic Pantheon and connecting with the landscapes and Slavic culture and sometimes it truly touched my soul. It also appeared to re-awaken within me the search for the divine feminine and Her expression within me and outside of me in terms of finding a soul mate. I hope this collection finds a small audience somewhere and that it resonates. All of the poems were previously published on my blogs.

The Dowser and The Magician

was the guest of dowser and house healer, Tim Walter recently. Despite a few internet issues, we made it through a laughter-filled and quite joyous chit chat about magic and dowsing and so on. If you do not know of Tim, I can really recommend his video channel as being filled with informative content.

He describes the video as follows;

The Year of the Butterfly

I’ve written a couple of times about seeing Butterflies and even having them land on me. Well, here we are in mid-September and everywhere I go is filled with Butterflies of some shape or description. The flutter across my path as I walk my daughter’s dog or along the side of the road as I drive my car. They are everywhere and I cannot ever recall seeing so many for so much of the year.

For me, a Butterfly represents joy, happiness, transformation. I’m reasonably happy and I have transformed in recent months becoming happy with alone time and living alone but I fear I’m also angry and not joyful. Perhaps the Butterfly is a signal to remind myself to be joyful and to let things be. Anger over what other people think, behave and believe doesn’t do me any good and doesn’t do anything at all to them. Why this angers me I haven’t truly gotten to the bottom of. It’s not a control issue. It’s more a ‘can’t you see the truth when it staring you in the face‘ sort of thing. It’s not my problem really.

Maybe the Butterfly is saying that I should focus on my spiritual world and express the joy that I feel when in nature in my entire life? When in nature, I’m filled with a deep love and awe of what I see around me and I am joyful because of it. It is only when I have to deal with other humans that I become angry and morose.

The answer isn’t to become isolated. I think the answer is to care less about others – their thoughts, actions and interactions. Not to care less about them as people and to allow them to live. To be joyful for them.
