Yes. I know. Y’all are tired of hearing about my love and obsession with the Wonder Boys movie, but tough… I love it. It helps me. I can’t explain it. It just does.

Birthday Thoughts
Birthdays come once a year and mine’s today. I turned 46.
Over the past few years, I’ve both looked forward to my birthday and dreaded it. Usually by the middle of the day, I’m depressed and disenchanted.There are no friends to celebrate with. There are no surprise parties or presents. Sunday Speeds – February 19, 2017
Howdy, y’all!
Nascar took to the track last night… OR rather, they were supposed to. The rain had other ideas… 
So, today, there will be racing! There will be 17 engines fired up and roaring around the track in Daytona at 11am! Next week is full of racing, too, starting on Thursday with the Duels at Daytona, followed by the Camping World Truck race on Friday night, the Xfinity race on Saturday afternoon, and the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Music Monday – The Pretty Reckless: Take Me Down
I am so addicted to this song. I listen to it on repeat ALL THE TIME!
Reminds me of some old 70’s rock… I can’t say why. But I’m in love with the sound, the lyrics, her voice in it, the melody, the harmony… I’m in love with the feel of it. That good old rock feeling… That’s how music should be. It should give us all the feels… Every last damn one of them…

10K Weekends For Writers – February 2-5, 2017
Howdy, y’all!
I know it’s been a few weeks since I posted this and well, that was rather on purpose. I’ve been working through revisions on an older story and kind of lost my way. I wanted it to be better than it once was and while I thought I was doing the right things to make it better, I lost confidence in it, in me.
But, I finished the revisions and I need to figure out what to do with it. In the meantime, I have Black and White, Book 4 to finish and that’s what I’m working on this weeke...
