The Bengal & White Tigers
is a scintillating excerpt from A Harem Boy's Saga - Book II - UNBRIDLED; a memoir by Young
Video trailer for UNBRIDLED: http://bit.ly/1CqXmCP
Excerpt:
While the Lion and the Dominatrix were in combat, a ferocious human Bengal and its equally virulent White were trapped in the adjacent silver cage. The mesomorphically built pair clawed at their herculean Master who lashed his whip at the solid iron palings. The Master ruled the naked beasts with an iron fist. His bulging muscles were covered only by a skimpy leather jock. Unlocking the cage, the Bengal pounced at his tamer, missing him by mere inches. His fellow White followed suit as they thundered at the cheering spectators. Crack! The whip sounded as both tigers lunged at their tamer once again, this time throwing him to the floor. The Bengal sank his luscious tongue into his Master's seductive mouth, while the White tore at his leather jock, ripping it to shreds. His bulbous genitals were exposed to the frenzied crowd. Cupping the prey's dangling testicles in his powerful palms, the Tiger rubbed them as if they were delicacies to be devoured. The brawny man wriggled relentlessly, struggling for release, but both sinewy animals had planted their weight on top of the herculean, pinning him beneath their athletic musculature.
The Bengal straddled his Master's hairy chest as his throbbing erection swayed above the captive's face. His sturdy thighs imprisoned the victim's head. The White, in synchronicity, forced the man spread-eagle, burying his face into his intoxicating crotch, inhaling his muskiness. He engulfed the Master's length into his hungry mouth, tasting his oozing emissions from his bulbous head. The prey, in ecstasy and agony, managed to free his hand to snatch the horse whip. A mighty crack sounded and the whips tail landed on Whites smooth buttocks, compelling the animal to howl loudly. Refusing to release his hold on his enticing meal, the beast continued suckling the organ in total disregard of the walloping he was receiving on his rear.
Snatching a pair of handcuffs from the floor, the Bengal pulled his tamer's hands above his head, cuffing his prey to the iron railings. Trapped by both animals, the studly captive wiggled desperately in a fake attempt to liberate himself. The tiger landed a slap on the man's face to quiet him. Instead he let out a distressing ululation - a call of the wild. Taking this opportunity, the Bengal stuffed his throbbing shaft into his prey, subduing him. The animal's protuberant onslaught forced his victim to relinquish his oral orifice. Leaning the captive against the cage, the animals manipulated their Master with ease. White straddled the tamer's groin, bouncing rapturously on his stiffness, gliding effortlessly in and out of his lubricated opening. He showed no signs of slowing, until the last drop of steamy semen was milked into the animal's inviting passage. Only then was the beast satisfied, stroking himself to the rhythmic motion of his own orgasmic submission. For now, he was rapaciously galloping to the compliant groans of his captive fan. Riding furiously at times, and at others sensually, slowly, and tantalizingly, White was in complete control of his sexual destiny.
The Bengal was busy plunging his protruding manhood down the acquiescent receiver, who was thoroughly basking in his tumescent feed. The previously formidable Master stared bewilderingly into the eyes of the beast, in awe of the brutal strength of this domineering feline that he envisioned he could control. Laying passively the prey surrendered himself to the climaxing Bengal, who wasted no time in depositing his seed. The howling beast beat upon his chest to the deafening accolades of the rambunctious spectators.
From the back cover
This provocative story is about a young man who was initiated into a clandestine sexual society. He was spirited to the Middle East, from his UK boarding school. He attended the Bahriji School (Oasis,) in The United Arab Emirates in preparation for serving in Harems for the wealthy and elite.
It is also a love story between the young man and his Valet who served as his chaperone and mentor during the boys Harem service.
Authors note:
I had a privileged and unique upbringing in Malaysia, where I was known as a "sissy boy." Following in my brothers' footsteps, I was sent to an exclusive boarding school in England. It is there that I was inducted into a clandestine organization, E.R.O.S. The Enlightened Royal Oracle Society. For four years, unbeknownst to my family, I was willingly and happily part of a Harem.
My story has been kept under wraps for close to 45 years. The correct moment has arrived for me to make known my unique education.
There are 7 volumes in A Harem Boys Saga series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Journey
By Anari on September 17, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
What an amazing journey! Young travels around Europe, the USA, and the Middle East, and to be fair, thats when things get really interesting.
Young has a talent for descriptive writing and you really feel like you are inside the authors head as you journey along with him. The harem scenes are unparalleled, and its fascinating to be a fly on the wall as he serves in an Arab household.
The troubled love affair between himself and his chaperone also makes for exciting reading.
Wealth, power, greed, sex, love this book has it all. Simply an incredible read.

GRANT LEISHMAN's books
Tagline:
Come with me, for a stroll down Paranormal Alley. Enter any door and immediately be transported to a world of imagination; far beyond the hum-drum and the ordinary.
Young: Hello Grant, How are you?
Grant Leishman (G.L.): Hi Bernard,
Thank you for the opportunity to do this interview with you and giving me a chance to get my views on writing and some of my work out to your followers and friend. I really do appreciate it.
Young: How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
(G.L.): I guess in many ways I came to writing quite late in the piece. Ever since I was young, Ive been a voracious reader and in the back of my mind was this idea I would write myself, one day...that one day just never seemed to come along; life just always got in the way. About five years ago I moved to The Philippines and quickly realised that being a house-husband was something I wasnt actually very good at, so instead I needed something to fill in my time Now, I had no excuses left not to write, so I determined to give it a go and I loved it.
I quickly realised that this was what I was born to do. I now happily fill my days with as much writing as I can manage, plus of course, that awful task of trying to sell my books. Ive yet to meet an author that actually enjoys marketing, but to be fair the one big benefit of trying to market your own books is the wonderful community of supportive and loving indie authors that it introduces you to.
So, in summary, at 56, Im now a full-time author and cannot imagine doing anything else until that day when I depart this mortal coil.
Young: How did you come up with your stories?
(G.L.): In general terms, like most writers, Im a people watcher and I tend do make up stories about people I see in the street or in cafes, or wherever. These often turn into ideas for stories. My main source of inspiration for story ideas though is to just look at events, and ask myself....what if?
This was certainly the way I was inspired to write my first book and series; The Second Coming series. I was watching the news one day and tut-tutting, as you do, about the mess that we as a species have made of our planet and our civilisation and thought occurred to me What the hell must God (if he really does exist) think of the mess weve made of his creation? From that random though came the idea of Gods decision to destroy earth and start again plus Jesus intervention to have one more chance to sort it out. From humble beginnings do big stories grow. The Second Coming was followed by Rise of the AntiChrist (to be published soon) and the final book; Holy War, which Im currently working on.
Young: What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
(G.L.): The best aspect of writing is the bliss I feel when the words are flowing. There is nothing quite to match the feeling of getting three or four thousand words down on paper at a sitting and feeling so incredibly, deeply, satisfied about it.
The worst aspect of writing is probably the marketing side of it. Like all authors, Id rather be writing, but the life of an indie author is so much more than just putting the words on the page.
Certainly one of the hardest things to come to terms with about being a writer is that your partner simply doesnt understand what it is you go through. I have the most amazing wife, incredibly supportive and a wonderful woman, but she has absolutely no idea of the process and sometimes the emotional turmoil you go through as writer. For me, thats why the indie author community is so important. Being able to share my frustrations, successes and joys with fellow authors, who understand, is truly a blessing.
Young: What inspires you to write?
(G.L.): Simply, the joy of knowing Ill see a completed manuscript at the end of it. When I wrote my first book I really had no concept of how it all fitted together. I knew the beginning and the end, but filling in the middle was a blank, scary, canvas. What I discovered, though, was that as each chapter finished, the idea for the next chapter, plot twist or story arc would start to ferment in my head. One thing I love about writing this way is the freedom of expression it allows you. As a self-editor, though, it does make the editing process even harder and more painful. Its all fun though! If its not fun you shouldnt be doing it!
Young: How did you conduct your research for Paranormal Alley? (You can explain the series here)
(G.L.): Paranormal Alley is a book thats very close to my heart. My 23 year old son is back in New Zealand and is a writer of some repute himself. He was complaining to me one day that it was fine for me to be publishing books; I had the time to write a full novel, but he didnt have that much time and could only churn out the odd short story from time to time. I challenged him to give me seven or eight short stories and Id match them. Id then do the editing and put out the book in our joint names.
Now, his genre has always been horror and/or The Paranormal. Me, on the other hand, had never written a short story and my genre has always been romantic adventure stories, so writing horror was going to be a stretch for me. I quickly found getting outside of your comfort zone and stretching yourself, as a writer, is a very good thing.
In no time at all we had put together 14 stories (7 each) and I put together the book and published it in December 2015. Im very proud of what weve achieved together and I think readers will find the stories interesting, thought-provoking and even a little scary at times. I think it gives a great contrast between two generational styles and as with all anthologies, it allows the reader to dip in and select what he or she wants to read. Im thrilled it has been so well received by readers thus far and for me the most satisfying thing is to see my son flourish in the knowledge that he can publish his work. At almost 200 pages, its a good, solid, read and available on Kindle Unlimited, which allows the reader to pick and choose the stories they want to read.
Young: What are 3 of your favorite lines/quotes from your newest release?
(G.L.): I love the little ditty the character sings at the end of the story Santa Claus, through Door 14 in Paranormal Alley:
Deck the halls with hands and feeeeet,
Fa...la...la...la...la. La...la...la...la,
Tis the season to eat fresh meeeeat,
Fa...la...la...la..la. La...la...la...la
HA...HA...HA...HA...HA...HA...HA...ha...ha...ha...ha...ha...ha...ha..............!
There is a line in my son Chris story called Friend Request, behind Door No.11 on Paranormal Alley that for me sums up the way Chris thinks.
Hypothetical, question time! Imagine you go out to the kitchen, on a cold summer night and open the fridge to see the disembodied head of your ex-wifedead wife, sitting in the chiller next to the cabbages and carrots you had just bought the other day.
and finally: another little excerpt that I love from one of Chris stories; The Photographer, through Door No.3 on Paranormal Alley:
I did what any person would do in that situation. I began scrambling her brain. I thought, I could jumble her memories back into place. It was messy at first; lots of blood and endless screaming. Did you know how hard it is to remove the top of a skull?! I didnt know it would take that much effort. You know the old idiom its not brain surgery? Well...this fucking was brain surgery and it wasnt pretty.
Young: What would your friends say is your best quality?
(G.L.): Without a doubt, my answer to that would be loyalty. I am fiercely loyal to my loved one and friends.
Young: Are reader reviews important to you?
(G.L.): Readers reviews are absolutely critical to Indie authors. They are our lifeblood. Our marketplace is almost entirely focused on Amazon and we are scrambling to be noticed amongst several million other books. The primary way to climb out of the morass of other titles is reviews. So, yes, reviews are critical.
From a personal perspective, reviews are a critical component of affirmation of my work. Im sure all creative people have grave self-doubt at times and reviews certainly go a long way to assuaging this. Ive been fortunate, to date, to have received mainly positive reviews, but Im sure the day will come when I get the infamous 1 Star or 2 Star review. I like to think Ill handle it with grace, dignity and aplomb, but time will tell. Nobody likes to be told their baby is ugly, but I know not everyone will like your work and your style, so Im trying to gird my loins for that day.
Young: Do you have any blogs/websites?
(G.L.): I try to blog once a week. I find it very useful to my own personal well-being to forget about the big book Im working on and just write a blog for a change. I do enjoy my blogs.
My website is: http://www.grantleishman.com/ which is also where you can find my blog: http://www.grantleishman.com/my-blog plus my book reviews, which I do regularly and a whole host of other stuff about me, my interests and also about my adopted country, The Philippines.
Young: What do you do when you dont write?
(G.L.): READ! I read constantly, although my reading diet has changed dramatically over the past few years. I dont know when the last time I read a book by a legacy published author was. I read indie authors only now and I love them. Many of them are the equivalent of or even better than the legacy published authors. What I particularly like is they are rarely formulaic and approach their writing from an innocent, open perspective, which I find really refreshing.
The only other main interest of mine, apart from my wonderful family, is watching sport, which I do as often as possible, but books and writing really do rule my life.
Young: Tell us about your other books?
(G.L.): The Second Coming is a romantic adventure. God looks down on Earth and is disgusted with what he sees his creation has become. He decides humanity is a failed experiment, and he orders Earth and all of humanity destroyed. He will start again from scratch. Jesus, however, intervenes and requests one more opportunity to turn mankind around. He is given one year to see if he can make a significant difference.
"The Second Coming" begins with Jesus (JC to his friends) in an induced coma in a Manila hospital after having been hit by a bus, losing his memory in the process. The book follows the exploits of Jesus and his modern-day "disciples" as they seek to firstly recover his memory and then embarking on a mission of saving humanity from the brink. There is interwoven into the story a romance between Jesus (Jose Christian Castillo or JC for short) and his number one "Disciple" Maria Lyn Manyanan (Ma for short).
(G.L.): Rise of the Antichrist (The 2nd book in the Second Coming Series) is a continuation of the story of the Castillo clan. "Rise of the AntiChrist" is the sequel to "The Second Coming. It focuses on the Castillo family as a whole, but more especially on the two twin children of Jesus Christ (JC) and Maria Manyanan-Castillo (Ma), Damien and Samantha; one or both of whom may grow up to be the AntiChrist.
The story is set in the beautiful Philippine Islands although it includes travel to Las Vegas and all over Asia. It follows the two children, a girl (Samantha) and her brother (Damien), who realize very early on that although their father has relinquished his immortality to marry their mother, their genes are still far from those of a normal human being.
Their parents are continuing the work begun by JC and Ma, in "The Second Coming", touring the world trying to instill a positive change in humanity. The two children who accompany them will go through the process of understanding that they are "different" from their peers and will begin to exercise and test the limits of just how "different" they really are.
Ultimately one, or both, will be pitted in a battle with their parents for the minds and souls of a generation.
Holy War is the culmination of the Second Coming Series and is my current work in progress.
(G.L.): "Just a Drop in the Ocean" is a love story that spans a lifetime and two continents, following the lives, the loves, and the losses of two people, in their search for happiness; wherever they can find it.
It follows the very disparate lives of two people; Nick Stevenson from New Zealand and Theresa Mercado from the Philippines. From their early friendship forged in the 1970's as pen-pals, and their burgeoning romance, through to their rediscovery of each other in the twenty-first century through the power of the Internet. Sound familiar? Hmmm, no, it is not auto-biographical although I won't pretend I didn't use some of my own life experiences to color and enhance the flavor of the story.
In the intervening years both Theresa and Nick go through their own versions of "personal hell", each having to struggle up from the pits of despair to find their own construction of peace and happiness. The story takes us to some of the seedier sides of life in a journey through issues of; criminality, prison, alcoholism, sexual and physical abuse, pornography and violence; but it uplifts us with the stunning realization that love can and does conquer all.
It is an epic, towering tale of love, lust, despair and happiness that will sweep the reader along at breakneck speed. This is a book for anyone who has ever loved and lost and a book for the true romantic in us all.
Young: If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be?
(G.L.): I am a great believer in the adage; We are what we think. Each and every one of us has immense power inside ourselves to achieve greatness. What we think about is what we become.

"I did some artistic nudes when I was 18 with a French-Canadian photographer while I was modeling. They were beautiful shots, and they were not about nudity."
Lexa Doig
Excerpt:
Proceeding down a side street, we arrived at a quaint Victorian building where Julian lived and worked from his second-floor studio flat. It was a charming and cozy space and provided sufficient room for a bachelor to live. He had been living there for the past 3 years. Julian's artwork hung on all the available wall spaces, and some leaned against the walls. His work bore an uncanny resemblance to the famous artist and illustrator Maxfield Parish, yet it possessed an original style that was childlike with hints of innocent eroticism. I was impressed by the attractive English-Frenchman's illustrations.
Julian was born in Cornwall to an English mother and a French father. He moved to London after graduating from Poole College of Art in Bourneworth. After working at an established advertising agency, he became a full-time illustrator. Commissions for his work came trickling in, and he was soon able to purchase a comfortable flat. By the time of his passing from AIDS-related illnesses in 1982, Julian had established a name for himself. He was known as an artist and illustrator in the United Kingdom and in France.
"Lets start by taking some individual Polaroid pictures of Andy, followed by Young. I've already photographed Orion, so we'll have him in the group shot when I photograph the 3 of you together. How does that sound?" The illustrator enquired?
"Fine by me," I replied.
Julian behaved professionally throughout our photo-shoot. Andy was given a pair of loose-fitting sweat pants without any top, while Orion and I wore only sweatshirts without trousers. While I was sandwiched between Orion and Andy, my lover sprouted a hard-on. He was standing behind me against my nakedness and began rotating his pelvis against my derrire, causing my libido to stir. My cock started to wake with each of Andys gentle gyrating motions. I was soon standing erect and so was Orion's manhood. As we stood in close proximity and caressed each other, our organs began rubbing against each other as if performing an erotic dance. I could not subdue my bobbing erection with my Valet's hardness bouncing against my derriere. His encouragement stirred our trios sensuality to a heightened state of arousal.
Julian took this provocation as a sign that he would be getting some superb photographs, both for his portfolio and for his personal enticement. Although the illustrator was clothed, his hardening genitalia peeked over the top of his jersey pants. Glistening strings of translucent fluid were leaking onto his hairy torso. He had on a sleeveless cropped top that displayed his well-defined six-pack. His bulbous pronouncement approved of our sensuality. He kept clicking as he viewed his 3 models through his camera lens. He did not stop circling the room as we propagated our concupiscence.
Orion wasted no time in his active persuasion. We kissed passionately for the camera and for our personal gratification. Andy urged me from behind as he pulled my waist towards his swelling protuberance. Orion's pulverizing protrusion pressed compellingly against my hardness from the opposite end. Bending forwards, I scooped his erection into my eager mouth, ablactating his lusciousness as if I was deprived of nourishment. His leakage tasted deliciously masculine and his groin smelled deliriously intoxicating. Andy dropped his pants. He was gliding his stiffness against my butt cheeks. Spitting to lubricate his curved member, he eased into my offering orifice. My lover and the big brother filled me to the brim from opposite directions.
Julian could no longer hold off his desires. He discarded his sweatpants to join the party, feeding me his pleasurable inches together with Orions jutting edifice. I was in 7th heaven, engulfing both shafts into my oral opening. Taking turns to satisfy our frenzied lust, I devoured them hungrily. I was a famished baby needing feed, and the men took turns weaning my esurient mouth. I promised them further satisfaction when Andy had consummated my rear. Our alluring sexuality took on an alternative flight when my lover could no longer hold off his sexual patronage. Letting out several cries, he filled me with his adoring emotions, depositing his virility deep within my person. He slumped his heaving chest against the small of my back while his waning length slid slowly away from my dripping hollow, only to be replaced by Orion's gluttonous engorgement. The model eased into my well-lubricated opening effortlessly. He began our love dance with a gentle foxtrot before progressing to a hot Peruvian salsa, reverting to an irresistible Buenos Aires mambo, and finally ending with the crme de la crme of dirty dancing, an Argentinian tango that filled me with his oozing Latino charisma. I desired more, more than my fill. Julian seemed to read my lascivious thoughts. He took over the models position and was now pounding inside me with vigor. He could no longer hold off his exhilarating urgency. The artist unloaded into my obedient aperture. Their intoxicating virility mixed with my masturbatory actions sent me shaking uncontrollably; I exploded all over the floor. The BB and my beloved did not want any of my spills to go to waste. They lapped up every drop before feeding me my seed in a three-way kiss. We suckled, we caressed and we shared my delectable appetizer between us. Julian had moved behind to my back. He delved his tongue into my pulsating wetness, relishing on Andy's and Orion's deposits before plunging his salivating mouth onto my semi-erect boyhood, savoring the remnants of my ejaculation.
The four of us spent the remainder of the day together in the warmth of Julian's flat before taking in a provocative movie at the nearby Electric Cinema Club. As Lexa Doig had professed, "I did some artistic nudes when I was 18 with a French-Canadian photographer while I was modeling. They were beautiful shots, and they were not about nudity." I, like Ms. Doig, also did some artistic nudes when I was an adolescent with an English-French photographer while I was modeling. They, too, were beautiful shots, and they were not about nudity but artistic expression of love.

Debauchery is the triquel to A Harem Boys Saga, a provocative story about a young man who was initiated into a clandestine sexual society through his UK boarding school. From there, he was spirited to the Middle East to attend the Bahriji (Oasis) School in The United Arab Emirates in preparation for Harem services for the wealthy elite.
It is also a love story between the young man, his Big Brother, and his Valet, who served as his chaperones and mentors.
This book follows the teenagers erotic and exotic adventures and experiences at their third Arabian Household Harem, the Quwah. There, they became confidants to a prince, assistants in an international dance club venture, Carousel, and apprentices and models in a controversial photography project, Sacred Sex in Sacred Places.
This story is an account of the authors experiences. Through these truths, often demonized by contemporary societies that deem such behaviors inappropriate, the author hopes to dispel condemnation and negativity related to sexuality, love, and personal freedom.

5 stars: Elegant and Erotic Tale
By mlm "Mel"
To say this was a good story simply doesnt do it justice. This is the true tale of a male Courtesan. Or, as the author puts it A Harem boy. It begins with his life in Malaya as a small child. The honesty and self awareness he had is astounding. I laughed a bit when he called himself a Sissy boy. But then he reclaimed that title and I found that he was quite proud of who he was. The toss of the coin by the Gods created a delicate and beautiful soul who was wise beyond his years at least regarding his own self. His mother captivated me from the beginning. She doted on her youngest son and allowed him to be who he was. I believe it was her unconditional love that helped shape this adventurous and self-aware boy into a man who obviously, and rightly, loves himself. His relationship with his father, although forced and quite what one would expect, wasnt as bad as it could have been (Happy to read that. At times I feared the worst.). Starting by learning all about his privileged upbringing in a romantic time helped me understand who and what he came from and in turn helped me to see the rest of the story from his eyes. I wanted the same things he did and I felt his relief and desperation to leave for boarding school in the UK. From here, our delicate Sissy Boy is initiated into the clandestine society E.R.O.S.
Ill let the reader get the full story on how that happened. I will say he was brave, and perhaps a bit naive. But his childlike trust was not misplaced and he was off on an erotic, and sensual adventure to the Middle East. This is where I truly fell in love with this tale. I felt as if I was reading Arabian Nights and seeing what really happened in the Kosk of a wealthy Middle Eastern man. The world he experienced was lush and opulent as was the sex. The sexual stories are not graphic in the way one might think. You see what you must and, I think, the beloved author still has a few secrets from those times. However, from the fantastical tales he tells, his initiation was beyond the imagination of any young boy of the times. Hes whisked away to Italy, Tunisia, and Paris (among other places). At his young age, he experienced multiple lifetimes.
As I read the story, I realized this wasnt simply a naughty tale of his escapades as a teenager. It was a love story. There were so many different kinds of love experienced! From his first puppy love experience to very real and deeply felt love that the reader watches blossom, we watch him learn what love is to him. I also realized, halfway through, this was a love story about himself as well. The author has accepted all of his past and accepted himself in the process. He fell in love with himself and it was beautiful to see. A young, gay teenager who could have easily buckled under the pressure of society and his father to hate himself persevered and chose to walk in love in all that he did. That amazes me. His descriptions are lush and makes the reader yearn to be there, to feel the fabrics, to smell the smells, to taste the food and to see the expressions of love.
I will give a word of caution about this book It was a mental hurdle from the beginning to overcome my assumptions and modern judgment of sex by/with/to a minor. After getting about 200 pages in, I set it aside to think about how I was feeling. I realized a few things this wasnt an American story. I had to remove my American glasses as I read this and understand it was a tale from a different land and a different time. I also began to understand the vast difference in social and economic classes. His life of privilege allowed many of his sexual proclivities to be accepted and, as in the school in the UK, pushed to new limits. This story has made me wonder about the wealthy classes of people and what other traditions we laypeople know nothing about. Fascinating. As equally fascinating as the inner working of the Muslim homes. Oh, what I wouldnt give to be transported to such a place. If you can separate your modern, American point of view, and read this story for what it is you will love it. Much like readers of Anne Rices SLEEPING BEAUTY series, this has the same feel to it. If you enjoyed that, you will enjoy this as well. Im a straight woman who doesnt make a habit of reading homoerotic stories. To each his own, right? But this, this was so much more than just sex confessions. A unique coming of age tale that is beautiful, daring, and provocative. Bravo Young!

Let's Go Fly a Kite #ScintillatingSunday

Let's Go Fly a Kite
is a scintillating excerpt from A Harem Boy's Saga - Book III - DEBAUCHERY; a memoir by Young
Video trailer for DEBAUCHERY http://bit.ly/1NUcelM
Excerpt:
Back in 1967, Portsmouth was not the buzzing city it is today. Since we were going to a kite festival, we went to a local store to purchase a couple of kites. We wanted to join in the fun instead of being bystanders and watching the festivities unfold. Little did we know that kite enthusiasts the world over had come, elaborate kites in hand, to compete for the title of the best original design and show off their latest flying creations.
A crowd of onlookers and participants had gathered at the open field. Judging by the turnout, it was going to be a family event. There were many kinds of kites, from traditional paper kites to others made from lightweight plastic materials. There were kites resembling bobbing jellyfishes, swimming fishes, supernatant sea creatures, flying dragons, soaring mythical birds and crawling land creatures such as pouncing tigers and hopping rabbits. I had never seen such an array of rainbow colors blowing in the wind.
We found a secluded spot in this expansive field to lay our belongings down for a picnic. Before long, our kites had joined the rest of the flying gaggle. Samuel and I were having a fun time maneuvering the strings of our individual kites while our big brothers sat chatting some distance away, enjoying tea and finger sandwiches. They didnt notice when the adolescent tripped and fell backwards while pulling on his kite string. He had bumped his head on the ground, and for a brief moment the boy looked as if he had been knocked unconscious. His knee and ankles were bleeding. In a panic, I leaned down to see if he was alright. His eyes were closed, and he did not speak when I called out to him. My immediate thought was to give him mouth-to mouth-resuscitation. To my surprise, during the process I found myself kissing the boy passionately, like prince charming awakening the sleeping beauty. I held onto his limp body while tears streamed down my face. I wasnt sure if I made the correct revival move. Our BBs came running in our direction when they noticed what had transpired.
Suddenly, Sam opened his eyes as if coming out of a daze. Duc carried his charge posthaste to the nearby first aid tent, which had been set up for emergencies. We followed behind. As he was being carried away, the adolescent turned and gave me an adoring look, as if he remembered the amorous kiss I had planted in his mouth some moments ago.
Andy enquired, What happened?
We were having fun flying our kites, and the next thing I knew, Samuel was on the ground unconscious. He must have tripped while running backwards. I replied but omitted the part about the kiss.
The attending doctor soon gave Sam a clean bill of health after bandaging his minor wounds. Duc wanted to take his charge back to Daltonbury Hall immediately, but the freshman insisted that he was fine and wanted to continue our days sojourn. The six of us trooped off to 393 old Commercial Road to the Dickens Birthplace Museum.
From the back cover:

I loved the first two books in the Harem Boys Saga and I devoured book three just as eagerly. Debauchery is a seamless transition in the authors amazing journey, and I admit I am now addicted to this series. Correspondence in 2012 supplements the story as Young relates his experiences and feelings in 1967. He was a young boy when he flew to London to meet his beloved Valet, Andy. Theyd been apart for eight weeks, and they missed each other desperately. Once they were together again, they could not wait to give in to their passion. Their reunion captivated me. I became totally involved with the characters and emotionally invested in their story. The journey moves on to the French Riviera, and other exotic locations that are so well described, I felt like I was there. Young and Andy become part of a royal household and all the joy and sadness of their taboo lifestyle is related with honesty and in a wonderfully engaging style. Knowing the story was true only made it more compelling. There was no way I could put it down. Kudos to the author for letting us share his journey of self-discovery.

THE BOY SCOUT by Vanayssa Somers
Young: How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
Vanayssa Somers (V.S.): I started writing about two years ago. The wish to write was always with me but being in the workplace kept me from taking the time to write. So after I retired I started writing a story.
Young: How did you come up with your stories?
V.S.: The first novel, Pagan Flames, is a story that came from real life, although it is a fantasy suspense romance. I wrote it just as an adult story but it was awarded a place on the list of Best YA Books of 2015 by Michael Thals review blog, Pops Picks. So that was a surprise, I didnt know it was a YA book.
I used to do psychic work on my days off at times. I spent one summer renting a house on one of the beautiful islands off the BC coast, and I did readings outside a New Age shop during the day. A young woman came for a reading on her lunch-break one day. That particular experience was so memorable and amazing for me, I never forgot it. I usually did not remember the readings, as they were channeled and all very different, but this one stuck in my mind. I knew one day Id have to make up a story about a young woman who had these things happen to her.
It was very hard work to write that first novel, but it was also a lot of fun, especially because I knew the real story behind it. A lot of the book is made up of course, but the core of it came from that reading.
Young: What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
V.S.: Its hard to know how to promote a book. Its a learning experience, and although its been a year and a half since Pagan Flames was published, I am only now learning different ways to promote. I am open to suggestions from anyone who knows any of these secrets. Writers must not only write, they must also sell their books. Its a set of skills that nobody seems to give a complete course on. Everyone knows to have social media pages, but theres a lot more to it than that. So I am trying to learn how to do this. It takes a massive amount of time to promote books online, or any other way.
As to the best aspect of writing, its the freedom to take a block of time and go sit in a coffee shop and write a story, go deep into The Zone and just write from that place. Its exciting, thrilling, really, and very fulfilling. If I could just write all the time, that would be wonderful.
Young: What inspires you to write?
V.S.: Once the first novel is published, then the writer knows they can do it. It changed everything when Summer Solstice liked my story enough to take a chance on it. After that, I knew that time spent writing stories was not wasted, but was productive and had a purpose. At different times in our lives, we have different life purposes. In retirement, this is my life purpose. I like to include things in my stories that might inspire a reader to change their life up, be willing to transform some aspect of their life.
Young: How did you conduct your research for The Boy Scout?
V.S.: Well, after Pagan Flames came out, several readers who knew me locally asked me for a sequel. That was a surprise, they must have liked the book, I realized. So I hadnt expected to write a sequel, but I decided I should try. It took quite a while to put a full idea together, using Melchior and Theresa as heroic characters who were also in love, and then I got the idea one day of having a Boy Scout involved. Then the idea of having the villain be involved in Boy Scouts of America also, but just as a peripheral activity, that sealed it. I got excited then, you know how something just hooks you? And after that I wrote and wrote, drank a lot of coffee, loved writing that book, The Boy Scout.
Young: What are 3 of your favorite lines/quotes from your newest release?
My favorite chapters from The Boy Scout are Chapter Nineteen, which Ive submitted to a Screenwriters Short Story contest dont know how that will work out or not yet and Chapter Twenty-Two.
The Boy Scout
Excerpt:
Chapter Nineteen
And where, exactly, would they find a jury of Callahans peers? The idea was laughable.
But shape-shifting and time travel were not necessary parts of jury selection. The presence of a healthy conscience and normal intelligence were the things that mattered there.
And Kincaid was going to put him there. In the hands of a jury. Oh yes. He teetered back on his heels, his hands quiet behind his back, head lifted as he gazed around one last time. Lips compressed, eyes wide.
Next step. Get out there and catch this son of a bitch. Put him away for life, or, if he had his way, put him into the Chair.
But first, they had to find the bodies.
The little bodies.
Like any decent human being, he felt tears start up behind his eyes. But he was used to this.
He could handle himself. No tears.
Not here in front of his officers, anyway.
And he marveled at his wifes intuition. Marty. An amazing woman. Shed known, somehow.
Some day, hed need to know all about shamanism.
Who would ever have guessed?
Kincaid could not know that this particular shaman was huddled in a parallel universe, invisible, but very much present in the room, watching in impotent, growing rage as the officers went through his sacred sanctuary inch by inch, exploring, taking notes, peering, judging, gathering evidence by the minute, evidence that would destroy Callahans painstakingly-structured life.
His entire world-wide network, all his contacts. In his computer, the speeches he had written, speeches people paid him top dollar to listen to. And the children, the little ones he had loved so much.
The police! They could never understand.
And his magic. His sacred tools. What did these fools know of magic carpets, magic chants and spells? What did they know of travel through time, of shape shifting?
Excerpt from Chapter Twenty-Two
She took a big breath, tried to still the exhausted shaking of her muscles, and reached out, grabbed the edge of the opening.
Oh. Her shoes. They were in the way. But shed need them outside.
So she carefully removed them, and threw them over the edge, into the world outside. Shed pick them up when she got out there. And she would, for sure, succeed and get out there with those shoes.
Rested for a moment, praying for strength, strength to heave herself up and over in one move.
She gripped the edge, pulled mightily, hauled herself, pushed with her toes into the soft dirt, and her chest was on the edge. Panting, she hung there, so afraid of falling. It was so far down to the bottom. She knew, if she lost her balance, fell now, she would not live. Even if the dinosaur didnt find her, the fall would kill her. So she prayed for more strength. Waited, trying to control her shaking body, still the rising panic in her mind. What if she got stuck? Couldnt get over the edge?
To hell with that kind of thinking. Shed do it.
Drawing on the last ounces of energy buried deep in her fatigued, sugar-starved cells, she gritted her teeth and one more time, heaved. Over she went, too far, over the edge of the opening and onto the soft ground outside, tumbling onto ground and grass and the sight of towering ferns and trees and a huge white moon, shining down on the strangest landscape shed ever seen.
What a view.
In bright moonlight, the immense prehistoric Loess Plateau gleamed, yellow-gray sand catching the eerie light, reflecting almost.
The patches of jungle, the patches of desert, all stretched out below her, far below. Stretched and stretched into the distance.
And most amazing of all, far, far away in that distance, bursts of flame from volcanoes, active volcanoes, spewing lava out onto the earth below, creating prime farmland for the far future to make use of. Someday.
She didnt know she was in a part of the earth that would one day, millions of years in the future, be China. She was actually buried deep in the belly of China, and very, very far from home.
But even without knowing the geographical location, she knew the chances of her ever seeing her homeland again were slim to none.
Time travel. Shit. She didnt care about time travel. She wanted a cup of coffee and a sandwich. She wanted a hot bath.
She lay there, on the outside of the volcano for a while, crying into the dirt. When she finally staggered to her feet, shaking with exhaustion, thirst and hunger, she didnt know where she was going or what she would do.
If she could find Callahans cave, she might at least find water and some food.
And Theresa was out there somewhere. Alone. Terrified, probably. Like herself.
She began the long descent, so weary and discouraged she wanted only to lie down and stay there till she died.
Young: What would your friends say is your best quality?
V.S.: They tell me Im open and friendly and work hard at creating social networks and friendship. I love conversation almost more than anything. I find that many people stay alone and feel sad when in fact, so many people around them would be so happy if theyd just sit down and start up a conversation. I go around finding people and bringing them together and enjoying their company. Everyone has something to teach others.
Young: Are reader reviews important to you?
V.S.: Oh, that is an understatement. For one thing, reviews motivate me to write more, to write a new story. They inspire me to try to write better and overcome my writing flaws. I feel awestruck when I read a good review. Like, I would do almost anything for that person, and usually I dont even know who they are.
Young: Do you have any blogs/websites?
V.S.: My website is found at: http://www.paranormalfantasyromance.com and it has its own blog.
My other blog is: http://www.somerstory.wordpress.com
Young: What do you do when you dont write?
V.S.: Well, I spend a certain amount of time each day promoting my stories online. I do my housework like everyone does, although maybe not as much as some do. Writing and promoting eat up a lot of time and energy, but I keep the basics of housework done routinely. Like, having a washload going in the laundry gives me an excuse to get up from my chair and walk around the house, go get the dry clothes out, fold, put away, and by then my back has sorted itself out and I feel human again. So housework is good for writers.
I also do HIIT, it means high impact interval training I think. It just means, I jog for 30 seconds and then walk fast for 60 seconds, using a stopwatch to keep it 1to 2 of each.
I like to swim but there isnt a good pool in my small city so I dont swim as much as Id like.
I also do weight workouts on a Total Flex machine, which I love, using cables instead of weights. About twice a week.
I like to watch Netflix at night, movies and TV shows. Lately Ive loved beyond words watching the six seasons of LOST, became utterly addicted, it was terrible. I couldnt help myself. Start at 8 pm and finally have to turn it off at 3 am, my eyes almost glued shut.
But it was taking so much time I had to get more disciplined so I dont do that anymore. But I miss the characters in LOST. They were like family by the end of the seasons.
I buy and read a lot of Kindle books, they are not expensive and you get them immediately so I always have lots of good reading on my laptop.
I also send distance healing using Reiki to different people and I meditate. Right now I am reading a very hard book called A Course in Time Travel by Curtis Loys Jackson. Hard reading but its getting easier now, Ive broken through the hardest parts I think. Ive learned a lot, its a different kind of philosophy. He answers questions by email so that has helped.
Young: Tell us about your other books?
V.S.: Well Pagan Flames was my first, and having it get to the Best YA Books of 2015 was a terrific surprise.
Then I wrote Sacred Trust, a suspense romance where a lawmaker has an affair and gets caught by his wife, and he has committed a number of high-level crimes, and she decides to get the evidence. She starts a new life. I always try to have personal transformation up front and center in my work, nothing is as fulfilling as inspiring someone to branch out and start doing something different, something they never thought they could do.
I was raised in a politically active household and that kind of thing sticks. It pops out all over the place in your life, the way you were raised.
Then I wrote three short stories for Solstice Publishing anthologies, the latest one being First Love, and I wrote a story called First Love: Born of Fire, about human trafficking. The characters in it are also in my latest novel, The Boy Scout, and it gave me a chance to explore the choices and behavior of some of the characters I couldnt cover in the novel itself. You cant write about everything in one book, so the short story released some new stuff about the characters.
However, The Boy Scout is my favorite, it was so interesting to write, I learned so much. My very first real, first-class villain. A scary thing to undertake and once I got going, it really grabbed me. He just couldnt be bad enough, that villain. All about human trafficking and how a young Boy Scout saves a truckload of teens from a life of slavery.
Young: If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be?
V.S.: I guess that I have overcome many very difficult challenges in life. Im blessed with good health but I still manage to get into a lot of trouble. I take risks that are not always wise without discussing the problems with other people first. Thats a big mistake. One head just isnt enough for a lot of lifes challenging events. Ive learned to listen to my friends. And I survived the death by homicide of my only child, my daughter Lori. Its still, after almost twenty-eight years, a daily walk, it never gets better but as life goes on my commitment to life got stronger. And then I started to write, which really helps a lot. It keeps me very busy and I feel productive. Writing makes me feel valuable. I am 72 now, so anything that makes me feel still valuable is worth pursuing.
The Magic Will Find You!
My desire to write was driven by the transformative power of Story. As a child, I loved books about characters who did the right thing and overcame great odds. I was fired with the hunger to experience transformation in my own life and inspire others.
Born in a Yukon winter, I moved to beautiful British Columbia as a toddler and grew up in the deep forests of Vancouver Island. Over the years I trained as a Registered Nurse, earned a B.A. in Sociology from University of Victoria, worked as a Reiki Master, Psychic and NLP counselor. I was blessed to mother a beautiful daughter who, unfortunately, passed away in her twenties. Through that loss I discovered a gold mine of new depth in myself and in life itself, as she returned to visit me and open a new awareness of life after death. The greatest gift of all is life itself.
Over the years I have sought to help and inspire others through my work as a nurse, as the owner/operator of a seaside spa in the U.K., as counselor and psychic. A graduate of The Monroe Institute and a follower of Bruce Moen's books and website, I work in soul retrieval and connection with my family in the Afterlife. I believe romantic love to be one of life's highest experiences. Writing romance is my joy.

Amazon reviews for Vanayssa Somers Books:
one of the best supernatural romance books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Following Theresa, through the span of many years was both interesting and intriguing, never once slowing down. The transition from past to present was seamless. It flowed with the grace of a well trained ballerina gliding across the stage and air with one toe keeping it all in balance. The story is the most interesting of concepts and the romance filled my heart and drew me in. I would recommend this story for anyone who loves the mix of supernatural and love, or to anyone who just loves love. Well done Miss Somers, this story and your writing is a true treasure.
***************************
I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. Vanayssa Somers made the story and the characters come to life in a way that few authors are able to do. She did her research well on the pagan practices and the horrible time of burning 'witches' and any one that dared to be 'different' This book has everything from shape shifters to wizards to fairies & more. Truly mesmerizing to the reader with believable characters and places.

"Love is like the wild-rose briar;
Friendship is like the holly-tree.
The holly is dark when the rose briar blooms,
But which will bloom most constantly?"
Emily Bronte
Finally, Andy and I arrived at the village of Fssen and checked into the Schlosshotel Lisl (Castle from Lisl hotel), an intimate lodging for a couple in love. Andy was, to say the least, not in the best of mood that day. I did my best to provide him with good cheer along our lengthy journey. I knew full well the difficulties we had with parents, especially when we had to keep secrets regarding our involvements with E.R.O.S. Yet Andy and I were glad we had each other in our lives. With the enlightened and supportive advice from our clandestine members, we were able to cope and adjust pretty well to the demands of our teenage lives.
Since our vacation, I finally had Andy to myself, not having to share him with friends or his family. Sitting by the cozy fireplace, we required no dialogue; we were contented to be in each other's company enjoying the peace, tranquility and joy emanating from our inner beings. Nobody was present to interrupt our blissful happiness and despondent contentment. For the first time since Andy shared my bed, we were blissfully one with each other.
Loving Andy was natural and easy, much like well-oiled equipment churning smoothly as the gears fitted together effortlessly. After a light dinner at the hotel restaurant, we retired to our villa for a quiet evening just the two of us. Seated comfortably in front of the fireplace, I leaned against my lovers chest as he lovingly stroked my hair with his nimble fingers. Feeling his intoxicating breath against the back of my neck, I voluntarily tilted my ear to receive his transcendent breathing, which was decisively stirring my loins to wake. Andy's closeness encased me in an aura of indescribable passion, wrapping me in a cocoon of sensuality as I surrendered willingly to my lovers gentle caresses. Before long, his sensuous tongue was nibbling at my ear lobes, sending electric currents to my arching spine. As he turned me to him, we kissed longingly, prying each others lips open as we gave in to our intimate desires. His manliness overwhelms me still; darting chills of enraptured kisses pleasured my body, tempting me to surrender my nakedness to his alluring masculinity. Slowly but surely our love dance took flight, inhaling and releasing our life forces into the cores of our inner beings. We were inseparable; we were merging into an undecipherable entity of love.
Pieces of clothing lay discarded on the floor as we moved with sensual precision to our rhythmic love tango. Andy's intoxicating scent held me captive while my unconditional love sealed our union, propelling us into blissful states of transcendent nirvana. The fiery warmth captured by our innumerable body heat took flight as we sealed our earthly bond; we were spiraling upwards to meet the heavenly Gods of Olympia. My lover needed no lubricant to slide inside me; neither did I require added stimulation to surrender to my handsome Apollo. Lustful orgasmic releases were not required to satisfy our human longings, I was happy to feel his love deep within and he was utterly delighted to bathe in my glowing warmth. Together we lay in our overflowing nectar of sweet contentment rocking ourselves into a lullaby of peaceful slumber. I was one with my beloved and he with me. United, we did not wake until the following morning. I didn't want his stiffness to leave, neither did he desire to release from my core. We stayed entangled until our hungry stomachs called to be fed. We finally disengaged, vowing to be together again as soon as we have an opportunity.

By Isaac Ssebaduka
UNBRIDLED is book II of A Harem Boys Saga series. This book sets the stage for a tragedy between two otherwise inseparable soul-mates who parted ways by their life's choices. On the author's journey to find Andy, Young's lover, Valet and Big-Brother; Young takes us through an intriguing, romantic and adventurous journey. Leaving the reader desiring for more and yearning for what will happen next, while on the author's mission of finding his lover of more than 40 years - the last time they heard from one another. The memories that came with this search are full on romance and wild sexcapades that the reader could never imagine.
The story of a "Daltonbury Hall" Asian student recruited into the Enlightened Royal Oracle Society (E.R.O.S.), a clandestine society takes the reader through Europe, the Middle East, England, and the United States of America. This autobiography gets more interesting when Young was sent to the Middle East to serve in a male harem. During his adventurous journey he learned a lot about his sexuality and numerous aspects of life. The author traveled the world and had the opportunity to meet a variety of people from different walks of life, who were similar to him and he takes the reader along with him.
Book II of A Harem Boy's Saga drove the reader through an explorative sexual culture that the average individual never knew existed. A gay sexual sub-culture that seldom cross a reader's mind (i.e.: the mind or a sexually active hectrosexual person). UNBRIDLED also delve into the hidden Muslim culture, power and luxury that comes with the extremely wealthy elite. I, for one am looking forward to reading A Harem Boy's Saga - book III - DEBAUCHERY.

Sensuality in Motion
is a scintillating excerpt from A Harem Boy's Saga - Book I - INITIATION; a memoir by Young
Video trailer for INITIATION: http://bit.ly/1DOMft1
Excerpt:
Our Big-Brothers (BB) were an important part of the teaching team. They demonstrated techniques and guided us on our sensual journeys. They gently admonished us to slow down, to breathe, when we became overzealous, or lost sight of the aim of the practice. If we came close to intercourse, they were there to refocus us, and to guide us back on course.
All the students in the grotto emanated a beautiful glow from their youthful skin as we progressed along candlelit passageways, into the caverns.
Jal, Brian's BB, began a conversation with me. Soon, we fell a few steps behind our group. Discovering a lovely shallow pool of pristine blue water, Jal and I found ourselves stopping by the water's edge. We sat, together, and he nonchalantly put his hand on my leg. He began lightly stroking my upper thigh while I was still fully clothed. I was easily aroused, since I had not come for three days; I was dying to release.
His handsome face was inches away. He leaned over to kiss me. Instead of a French kiss, I felt the sensual tip of his tongue licking the edges of my lips. I responded similarly with my tongue on his lips. His hands slipped beneath my djellaba, caressing my inner thighs. My entire body was tingling. My cock was fully erect, straining for release from the confines of my swim suit. Jal continued sensually stroking me, and I responded by reaching to unbutton his thwab.
I slid my hand into his garment, caressing his muscular chest and erect nipples, which I lightly pinched, sending him into groans of passionate ecstasy.
The other boys and their partners were in various stages of foreplay. I glanced over Jal's shoulder and saw Nikee coaxing Josh onto the path of sensual pleasure. Corey was absorbed in licking Brian's nipples and neck. Both boys mirrored each other's actions, which plunged them into erotic squirms of delight.
Watching the sensuality unfolding, voyeuristically, combined with the romantic setting of the catacombs and Jals caresses, I was propelled into a marvelous, magical erotic realm.
Jal felt my buttocks, and gripped them, firmly. Arching my tingling body to his every touch, I was awash in my own erotic pleasures as well as the erotica which surrounded me. Every cell of my being pulsed with ecstatic bewilderment. Whatever Jal did, I responded in kind, surrendering to his lead.
He took his time with me. His excellent foreplay made me spontaneously contract; spasms surged through my torso. We continued our erotic play for two hours, slowing only to stave off our orgasmic urges, before resuming again.
This was one of the most enlightening experiences of my adolescent life; the sensual and spiritual epiphanies, along with reviews of what precisely led me and others to that place, are some of my greatest treasures in life.
From the back cover:

5 stars: I love a true story
By Kindle Customer "Ringmaster"
I love a true story, particularly when the author is articulate and conveys meaning and emotion clearly. This tale involves the author's upbringing in a secret sexual society in which he dwelled as a member of a male harem. Though some may be shocked by the explicit sexual details, I felt that the author did a nice job of counterbalancing these moments with other, less shocking bits of his story. In particular, I enjoyed his educational experiences in fashion and of becoming a young man in a land far from his home, as well as his travels abroad in surely what, to some, might have been very unfortunate circumstances but the author makes it clear that he was not forced and chose to live this extraordinary life. It is difficult for some to grasp how this tale of servitude could be a love story, and yet it is. I don't want to give too much away! But, it's lovely to see that people can overcome things that happen to them and embrace themselves fully for who and what they are. If only everyone was as buoyant and resilient as this author, whose second through seventh book in the series will surely be on my "to read" shelf.

Blurb:
Michael Rannigan is running rogue. Since Maggies abrupt departure from the law firm of Murphy, Rannigan, & Metheny, hes been in a tailspin. As he limps along in the new normal, he misses her more than he ever imagined.
Maggie misses Michael as well. But she makes the best of her new job at the District Attorneys office. Occasionally they cross paths in court, each assessing the other. Like Michael, she finds herself making questionable personal choices.
When opportunity knocks for Michael he leaps at it, maybe as much to avoid Maggies absence as anything else. The fact that his decision impacts everyone else at the firm doesnt slow him down at all.
Then comes news that shakes him to his core. Now that hes burned all his bridges, who will be there to help him pick up the pieces?
Young: Greeting Pandora
Pandora Spocks (P.S.): Hi! Thanks so much for inviting me today! Im thrilled to have the opportunity to talk about my latest release, Rannigans Redemption Part 2: Running Rogue.
Young: How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
P.S.: Ive only been writing for others for a couple of years. But I think Ive been entertaining myself with stories all my life. As a kid, I spent a lot of time daydreaming rather than paying attention in school. I wrote stories down from time to time. I started a blog a couple of years ago and began writing a story and posting it chapter by chapter. As I did, quite a bit of interest was generated and I began to consider publishing it. That story turned into my first book, Luke & Bella: Two Streets Over.
Young: How did you come up with your stories?
P.S.: They usually start with a little snippet of an idea, part of a dream or something I see happening, and they grow from there. I gather little ideas from all over: news items, pages torn out of a magazine, even once from a song I heard. I squirrel them away until they seem to fit into what Im writing.
Young: What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
P.S.: For me, the best aspect is watching a story develop. I always start out knowing the beginning and where it will end up, but how we all get there often is surprising. Characters have unexpected conversations and move the plot along in ways I didnt see coming. Which sounds weird, I suppose, since Im the one doing the writing, but even so, I love seeing the way it all comes together.
The worst aspect? Im finding that promoting my books takes a great deal of time away from writing. Im not a fan of that part.
Young: What inspires you to write?
P.S.: Im stealing from Toni Morrison here, but its true. I write the stories I want to read.
Young: How did you conduct your research for Rannigans Redemption Part 2: Running Rogue?
P.S.: When it comes to research, I have to say that Google is my friend. The main characters in Rannigan are attorneys and much of the first book is set in a law firm in Manhattan. I spent a lot of time researching lawyers, how law firms run, and various legal technicalities. I also thoroughly researched Manhattans Upper East Side. Many of the restaurants and bars mentioned in Rannigan are actual places.
In terms of the cases tried in the story, one of them is very loosely based on a case from where I live. In the book, a professional hockey player is accused of vehicular homicide when, while driving drunk, he drives his car into a river and his passenger drowns while he gets himself to safety. In real life, a local wealthy polo mogul, as he was described in the media, was driving drunk when he plowed his Bentley into a recent college grad, pushing the guys car into a canal where he drowned. Meanwhile, Polo Mogul left the scene on foot, went to the home of an acquaintance, and proceeded to drink more. Being extremely wealthy, he was able to hire the best attorneys and clog up the case for years on all sorts of ridiculous issues.
Young: What are 3 of your favorite lines/quotes from your newest release? (include title)
P.S.: Three of my favorite lines from Rannigans Redemption Part 2: Running Rogue are:
1) Im going to miss you.
Yes. You are.
2) Food on our tables and shoes on our kids? Maggie looked up to find Michael standing beside her.
She grinned. Did you like that?
3) He looked down uncomfortably. I wanted to say that you did a good job. Youre a great lawyer.
I learned from the best, she said quietly.
Young: What would your friends say is your best quality?
P.S.: I think my friends would say that Im funny. Im always laughing and making jokes.
Young: Are reader reviews important to you?
P.S.: Reviews are important to me. They provide feedback on what readers liked and what I might do differently next time.
Young: Do you have any blogs/websites?
P.S.: My author blog is called Luke & Bella (https://lukeandbella.wordpress.com/). I post updates on my latest work and I love to promote other writers with my Watch This Space posts.
Young: What do you do when you dont write?
P.S.: When Im not writing Im an avid binge-watcher. I recently finished watching Bloodline on Netflix. I also love to go out. West Palm Beach has the loveliest places to sip a cocktail and watch the world go by. I think writers are inveterate people watchers. We get the best ideas that way.
Young: Tell us about your other books?
P.S.: Luke & Bella: Two Streets Over is about Luke and Bella, a pair of television journalists who are thrown together to create a new television travel program. They travel the world and mine for television gold, inevitably falling in love as they visit exotic locales. The problem is, Luke hasnt been completely honest with Bella. His dilemma is whether to continue with the status quo, or to tell her hes a Dominant and that he thinks shed be the perfect submissive.
My current Work In Progress is called For Sparrow. Its about a submissive woman whose Dominant husband of many years suddenly dies. The story stems from thinking about some couples I know and wondering what would happen. Would the Dominant husband make contingency plans? The first chapter is posted in the Teasers tab of my website.
Young: If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what will it be?
P.S.: I consider myself a very lucky girl. I survived a long abusive marriage and came out stronger. Now I live my happily ever after with the man of my dreams. I count my blessings every day and try to never take that for granted.

Now that hes burned all his bridges, wholl be there to help him pick up the pieces?
Excerpt :
Late that afternoon Maggie and Malik joined the rest of the office at Petes Tavern for celebratory drinks. Unlike Murphy, Rannigan, Rances office rarely had official gatherings after work, but this was an exception. Maggie wasnt sure she was in the mood to celebrate, but she was pleased that Jean-Luc would be separated from the rest of the world for a long time. Truthfully, she was still a bit shaken from his attack, but shed have chewed off her own arm rather than admit it to anyone.
Rance was pleased with Maggies work and told her more than once that he should have trusted her instincts from the beginning. Ill remind you of that next time, she promised as she sipped her Guinness.
A server approached their table with a single drink on a tray. She set the glass of bourbon in front of Maggie. From the gentleman at the bar, she told her. Maggie glanced over. Michael smiled and raised his glass.
She shook her head and suppressed a smile. Excuse me a moment, she said, picking up the glass and pushing back from the table.
She crossed the room and took the stool beside Michael. Thanks for the bourbon.
Youre welcome. Hows your neck?
Maggie shook her head dismissively. No worries.
Michael squinted his eyes and watched her skeptically for a moment. Well, congratulations, he smiled. You soundly kicked my ass today.
Maggie grinned into her glass, sipping slowly. Your client was guilty. I just pointed out the fact.
Im filing an appeal, he said softly.
She shrugged. I expected nothing less. They sipped companionably.
Michael nodded thoughtfully. You built your case and you kept it simple. You appealed to the jurors as people.
He stood. I dont want to keep you from your party. I just wanted to say He looked down uncomfortably. I wanted to say that you did a good job. Youre a great lawyer.
I learned from the best, she said quietly.
Michael smiled, eyes crinkling. Then he reached up and squeezed her shoulder gently before he turned and left the bar.
