STARS IN DANGER: THE HIGH DIVE on Fox

STARS IN DANGER: THE HIGH DIVE premieres on FOX Wednesday, Jan. 9th at 8/7c

Based on a long-running German format, STARS IN DANGER: THE HIGH DIVE is the ultimate test for eight celebrities who will step to the edge and take a flying leap or momentous belly flop into diving history. But, first, they must complete a crash-course in diving techniques, overseen by renowned diving coaches. After an intense training period, they will compete in a series of Olympic-style dives, including solo high diving and synchronized diving, from a variety of heights. With the help of Olympic diving medalist and commentator Troy Dumais, viewers will also get a poolside look at the courage and perseverance – as well as the twists, turns and flips – that go into turning a celebrity into an expert – or not so expert – diver.

Celebrities expected to participate include: “Jersey Shore” star JWoww, Pro surfer Bethany Hamilton, “Baywatch” and Lifetime movie veteran Alexandra Paul, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards, David Chokachi of “Baywatch” and “Witchblade” fame, Former NFL player Terrell Owens and actor Antonio Sabator Jr.

On December 22, 2012, Bethany spoke at Olympic Village Lodge in Squaw Valley, California. The Squaw Valley Institute presented “Inspiring Uncommon Conversations with Bethany Hamilton” to a sold out 500+ audience. Bethany shared her story, answered questions from the audience, and signed books. She also enjoyed a few days of snowboarding on fresh powder with local pro snowboarders, Jeremy Jones, Tom Burt and Iris Lazzareschi.

RECIPE: Popeye gluten-free Pancakes

Popeye gluten-free Pancake recipe

INGREDIENTS

3 eggs

1/8 cup of coconut milk

1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk*

1/3 cup Gluten free oats

1/4 buckwheat flour

1/8 cup gluten-free flour

Dash salt

Dash of cinnamon

2 large handfuls of spinach

+ toppings of your choice!

DIRECTIONS

1. In a blender or food processor, blend dry ingredients till fine. Then add wet ingredients and blend.

*Add more almond milk if you prefer thin pancakes!

2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

3. Top with berries, bananas, walnuts, goat cheese, maple syrup or top with what you like best on pancakes!

Or top with a combination of your favorite healthy toppings!
