New Project with an old friend

I met my childhood friend Jyoti. She's now a professional proofreader and studying for her PHD in humanities. Over lunch, she proposed we do a project together for old times sake.

I've told all the stories I have to tell. Okay, I still have some memories my late dad shared with me before his passing... stories of his childhood and his brothers when they were little. Not enough material for a full book. Also I have a nagging feeling that I don't have enough time to complete a brand new series, which is what such a book would probably begin.

My key book, what I feel my entire life led up to, is The Quest for Immortality, my Emunah Chronicles novel.

I proposed we work on a second edition of that novel and she said yes!

She is proofreading, and we'll work together to make it better.

I'm writing new sections on full character write-ups with exclusive tidbits in the new edition, since I've completed all the books in that Emunah Universe.

I'm also dreaming up a new cover for that new edition.
Will keep you updated.

Dragon Unbound. My final book

It's been an amazing adventure writing books, but all good things must come to an end.

This is my final book.
Dragon Unbound is the grand finale of the entire Emunah Chronicles Universe.

Dragon Unbound by Janice Wee
Dragon Unbound

It's a story about a young couple in love, Billy and Bluma, who grow up, marry and start a family in the Millennial Kingdom, which starts off as a Utopia.

Billy has super strength. Over a span of a thousand years, he juggles multiple roles as husband, father, global protector, secret agent, school teacher and eventually king of his own nation.

This is a story of love, family, betrayal, hope and faith that I hope will bless the reader.

Picture this: Billy, a boy who chats with animals, reunites with his childhood friend Bluma, who’s kneading bread dough when a mischievous monkey drops a glowing, indestructible orb into it! Their lion guardian, Leonard, chomps into the loaf and—ouch!

—breaks a tooth. What follows is pure hilarity: the kids tie Leonard’s tooth to a boulder, roll it downhill, and crash—the tooth’s out, but so is a mysterious porcelain box with a map and a coin bearing Aunt Mathilda’s face. She’s their resurrected nanny, back as an immortal tribulation saint, and the kids are off to find her!

From dodging a sneaky cult leader’s Carnival City to Billy unlocking divine super strength, this adventure is a wild ride through the Millennial Kingdom. Want a sneak peek? Check out the short book trailer below, where Billy and Bluma tackle Leonard’s toothache in the most epic (and laugh-out-loud) way!

Sneak peek into my new series

Here's the cover of my next book, the first of my new series, The Adventures of Billy Lionheart.

The main character is that precocious little boy in my Emunah Chronicles series, and Emunah Short Stories series, Billy.

Billy Lionheart is a mortal, in a world where mortals and immortals live side by side.

His nanny is Leonard, the lion, who is equipped with a wearable universal translator.

The characters from my Emunah Chronicles and Emunah Short Stories series continue their stories through this series, told through Billy's eyes.

I have drafted the outline of this entire series and am writing the first book, Billy The Lion Boy now.

It's going to be loads of fun and quite an adventure.

I hope to launch it this month or in March 2025

Emunah and Emma have opposite opinions on what is coming.

Emma's had alien encounters and is obsessed with the alien's promise of evolution.

Emunah looks forward to The Rapture.

When people vanish, who was right?
