Inner Fire Tour & Giveaway

YA Bound Book Tours is organizing a Blog Tour for: Inner Fire by R.L. Stedman. This tour will run from December 8th to December 12th.  Check out the full blog tour schedule below:
Inner Fireby R.L. StedmanRelease Date: 11/30/14Summary from Goodreads:‘‘Maybe it would be better if I started at the beginning.’ Gran watched me carefully. ‘This ability we have; my mother, me. You. We draw heat along our bodies; anger makes us flame.’
When her friend is assaulted, Corrine Peterson can’t help reacting. But she didn’t think and now her hands are burnt, Gran is coming to look after her and, scariest of all, strange men are watching her house. Could they be terrorists? Secret agents?

It seems that Gran’s idea of a solution is to introduce Corrine to Rowan. Okay, sure, maybe eighteen year old Rowan is gorgeous – but he has his own troubles. And right now, Corrine doesn’t need complications in her life.

But in a world of surveillance and secrecy, complexity is inevitable. And as the tension mounts Corrine realizes - maybe Gran can help her, after all.   Excerpt"We had a debate at school about freedom and privacy, which is a topic you know should be important but really isn’t, and then we all kind of got bored with it and Ms Winner, the Social Studies teacher, sighed and said, ‘Girls, you don’t realize how easily freedom is eroded’, which is the sort of thing that teachers say."
"Maybe it would be better if I started at the beginning.’ Gran watched me carefully, like she was trying to tell me something but didn’t know how to put it into words. ‘This ability we have; my mother, me. You. We can all draw heat along our bodies; anger makes us flame."
'‘Move,’ he pushed me forward, and I stepped with him, legs to legs, hips to hips, me facing forwards, him following behind. It could be almost like dancing, we moved so well together. When I swallowed, the knife-edge touched my skin. Its blade was no longer as cold as it had been — I was warming it."

Learning to Swim Blitz & Giveaway

Learning to Swim (Hearts Out of Water #1)by Annie Cosby Release Date: 03/01/14
Summary from Goodreads: "... a darkly romantic beginning to what promises to be an unusual contemporary YA fantasy series."
- Serena Chase, USA Today

When Cora’s mother whisks the family away for the summer, Cora must decide between forging her future in the glimmering world of second homes where her parents belong, or getting lost in the bewitching world of the locals and the mystery surrounding a lonely old woman who claims to be a selkie creature—and who probably needs Cora more than anyone else.

Through the fantastical tales and anguished stories of the batty Mrs. O’Leary, as well as the company of a particularly gorgeous local boy called Ronan, Cora finds an escape from the reality of planning her life after high school. But will it come at the cost of alienating Cora’s mother, who struggles with her own tragic memories?

As the summer wanes, it becomes apparent that Ronan just may hold the answer to Mrs. O’Leary’s tragic past—and Cora’s future.

A Sorta Fairytale Cover Reveal

A Sorta Fairytaleby Emily McKee Release Date: 01/06/15
Summary from Goodreads:
I have my own sorta fairytale.
Only thing is that it’s with two people.

Thomas Braxton and Alex McNeil. They know I’m not with them completely. They know I have another. Everything else is pointless… useless.

From the moment I met Thomas and Alex I’ve thought if only I could blend them together? Thomas’s sexual endeavors. Alex’s sensitivity and passion for life. Then I would have the perfect person.

But perfect is overrated.

It doesn’t exist.

Plus, it’s not at all interesting.

And my relationships with Thomas and Alex?

Well that’s a story for the ages…

John Bloom and the Victory Garden Book Blast & Giveaway

John Bloom and the Victory Garden by Leigh Shearin Sign-Up to Join the "JOHN BLOOM AND THE VICTORY GARDEN" Book Review Blitz and receive a FREE COPY of the book!  About the BookTitle: John Bloom and the Garden of Victory | Author: Leigh Shearin | Publication Date: October 27, 2014 | Publisher: Independent | Pages: 195 | Recommended Ages: 9+ Book Summary: John Bloom and the Victory Garden is the rollicking tale of 3 boys at the dawn of America's involvement in WWII. John Bloom, and his best friends Joe and Chewie live, play, and get into adventures in 1940's era Appleside, NJ. Because children are generally joyful and tend to put more importance on the goings-on of their own worlds than those of grown-ups, the events of the war are woven into the boy's daily lives. Along the way, a bitter and cynical old man is drawn into their hijinks, and contributes his own joy to the lives of these 3. Chapter One invites the reader to join John and his friends in Appleside, NJ on the afternoon of December 6th, 1941. Through newspaper headlines and radio bulletins, the boys learn about the incredible events of the war- beginning with the attack on Hawaii by the Empire of Japan. As the story moves along, John and his friends learn that everyone- not just soldiers- can make a difference. They learn that commitment leads to ultimate success and that taking a seemingly insurmountable task one step at a time will make that task simple. John, Joe and Chewie learn about where their food comes from, and how important good food is to the Allies overseas. John Bloom and the Victory Garden is not just a story of Homefront USA during WWII. Its about faith, endurance and sturdy values that transcend time and cultural differences. It's about accepting tough times, struggle and adversity and overcoming them anyway. It's about seeing the humor in life, and helping others to see the humor too. But mostly, they just have a gut-busting great time! Amazon | Goodreads  About the Author: Leigh Shearin Leigh Shearin, Author I am a Writer, Chef, Baker and Farmer.
