The Art of True Confidence

You know that feeling when you’re trying to strike a pose in front of the mirror, but no matter how you adjust, something just doesn’t look quite right? It’s as if there’s always one small detail off, and you can’t quite fix it. Yeah, me too. Modeling might seem like it’s all about the outer appearance, but let me tell you—it’s an inside job. Confidence is the real magic behind the camera, and I’m here to share some lessons I’ve learned about mastering it.

Posing with Purpose: The Power of Confidence

When I first started modeling, I thought it was all about the smiles and holding a pose. But I quickly learned that the camera captures more than a pose--it captures the true expression of the model, it doesn’t lie—and it loves confidence. Confidence is what transforms a pose from forced and fake to fluid and fresh, and believe me, I’ve had my fair share of both. The key? Relaxing into who you are. There is no one like you. You don't have to push yourself to fit into some kind of unrealistic box and the real you couldn't be more beautiful and perfect.

One of the most surprising things I’ve discovered through modeling is that true confidence comes from being comfortable with discomfort. Whether it’s wearing 6-inch heels on a cobblestone street (yes, that’s happened) or trying to keep a relaxed face while doing complex yoga poses for the camera (let's just say it wasn’t pretty), confidence is all about embracing the awkward and laughing through it.

The Awkward Angle Rule: No One Escapes It

The “awkward angle” rule is simple: it happens to everyone! Confidence is about shaking it off and trying again. Simply strike a new pose and keep going while remembering to relax all the while.

Lessons from the Runway (or… Life in General)

The runway (and life) can throw some pretty unexpected curveballs your way. I’ve learned that confidence doesn’t mean always having everything under control; it means staying grounded when things get shaky. Whether it’s a wardrobe malfunction or missing a cue, modeling taught me that sometimes you just have to walk it off—literally. The secret is not in avoiding mistakes but in how you recover from them.

This lesson applies to everyday life, too. Whether you’re walking into an important meeting or starting a new project, confidence is about showing up, being present, and knowing you’ve got this—even if the zipper on your dress decides not to cooperate.

The Confidence Behind the Lens

When I coach women, I love helping them find that inner confidence that goes beyond appearance. Confidence isn’t about having the “perfect” body or the trendiest wardrobe—it’s about feeling good in your own skin. In modeling, and in life, confidence shines through when we stop trying to be perfect and just embrace who we are.

That’s why I’ve incorporated this into my coaching practice. We work together to tap into that deep sense of self-worth that can’t be captured by any camera but shines through in everything you do.

 Introducing Intuitive Coaching for Women

Feeling like you could use a boost of confidence? My Intuitive Coaching for Women helps you lean into your own inner strength and embrace your authentic self. Whether it’s navigating personal growth, career challenges, finding more balance in your daily life or just wanting someone to listen to share what's on your mind, I’m here to do my best to help and guide you.

I offer 45-minute one-on-one sessions via Zoom on a sliding scale. Coaching sessions are held on Wednesdays, so book yours now and start your journey to living confidently from the inside out.

 Why Confidence is Key

Confidence is the secret sauce to making everything in life just a little easier (or at least a little more fun). When you trust yourself, you’re unstoppable. Modeling may have taught me how to walk the runway, but confidence taught me how to walk through life with my head held high—heels optional.

The Power of Movement

Roxanne stretching on a yoga mat, smiling.

I have always been interested in movement. I was about ten when I saw my mother do yoga, and it intrigued me. I started to copy what she was doing. At that time, I had a bit of scoliosis with debilitating back pain. Yoga was the only thing that gave me relief, and I could not believe that all I had to do was stretch a certain way or hold a certain pose to feel so much better! Ever since then I have never stopped doing yoga. Over the years, it has corrected my scoliosis and has been tremendously effective. That was my basic beginning into exercise, and from that stemmed interest in all kinds of movement.

My 'go-to' movement is yoga for sure, and then I like to do weights and dance. I like to mix it up because I know that it’s best for the body to not always do repeated patterns of movement. So those three types I rotate through.

I find that being a model and traveling a lot, I can do yoga anywhere and anytime, which has been really important. I’ve found that more and more hotels have very nice gyms. Many people are discovering that it’s really important to have movement incorporated into their lives. When I can travel, that doesn’t mean I have to forfeit my routine, which is really nice. Not only does it make me feel more prepared, it makes me feel more satisfied that I’ve done something for myself even though I’m so wrapped up in work. I’ve learned that even though I’m busy, it doesn’t mean I have to forfeit what’s important to me.

I travel with a resistance band—they take up no room and don’t weigh anything. I can always utilize it no matter where I am. I don’t have to go out, or sometimes I don’t want to go to the gym, so I just do it in my room. In my profession, I discovered that it’s a really great way to keep active and it makes me feel so prepared the next day.

Through science we’ve learned more about the human body, and what’s surprising is that they now say that it takes only twenty to twenty-five minutes of exercise a day to maintain your physical health. That’s all you have to do a day, and you can sustain your level of health. Decades ago we always thought the more you worked out the better—‘If I just hit the gym for an hour and a half’—but actually, we are finding that’s detrimental because you’re exhausting the body and making micro-tears in the muscles. That’s not what you want to accomplish. That was an amazing revelation to me; sometimes when I work out for twenty minutes I’m just beginning to feel warmed up and that’s ok—I could continue if I felt like it—but sometimes I don’t want to because of the time frame or I’m tired, but I know I’ll feel satisfied just the same because twenty to twenty-five minutes is all you need. That was a big ‘aha moment’ and is a huge difference from how it was before.

Studies show that if you exercise every day, it’ll add hours to your life. If that doesn’t add exercise to a priority on the list, I don’t know what does! I’d like to live a little bit longer! Just working out thirty minutes to an hour to add hours to my life, that made it more of a priority. It’s an easy way to live a longer, healthier life.

Movement helps you with rest and getting better sleep, helps you deal with tension and deal with life, so you do have to listen to your body. If you alter your routine—say you stretch more—then you’re actually helping the body to get a deeper rest. It’s important to listen to your body in the different phases that you’re in and keep up the routine of exercising regularly, but just alter what it is you’re doing to suit your lifestyle.

For me personally, I find that movement practice has helped me to become more disciplined. To get on that yoga mat and to make time to do my thirty minute workout, regularly, takes discipline and creates more discipline in your life. Discipline is not only for exercising, but it spills over into other areas of my life, so that’s an added bonus.

We always have that chatter in our head that dissuades us from doing what we know we should—always. There’s always the rational, ‘well, I’ll do it later, well, my hip hurts,’ and it’s constant. Not only towards working out, but procrastinating on a project, or doing something that you know you need to, and it’s funny how we do that consistently. I think we reach a point where we realize: ‘wait a minute, that’s something that I can override.’ That chatter will always be there and we don’t have to listen to it. Once you realize that, then you realize, ‘you know what? I always feel better after I work out. I’m smarter than what this little constant chatter is saying to me.’ It’s similar to when you go into nature and you come back out after the walk, you don’t say, ‘ah, I wish I hadn’t done that.’ Right? You’re always satisfied that you do it! Just like the gym, you come out and you always think: ‘that felt great!’ You never say, ‘ah, what a waste of time.’ You know this! That is a motivating factor. You know you don’t have to listen to that mind that is, for some reason, telling you to just keep quiet, sit and not do it. I don’t know why it’s there, but we know that we don’t have to listen to that and we know that we can feel better. I tell myself that too.

You can take these little snippets of time and create an exercise. For example, you are in your kitchen and you’re making your drink, like you always do every morning, waiting for the percolation, the boiling water, or whatever it is. For people who have a hard time with exercise or working out, maybe just change the verbiage. Think of it as moving in a different way. Here I am standing, like I do everyday, and I might do a lateral move. That’s not a normal position; it takes a little bit of thought, so I’m just going to stand here and I’m going to move differently. So, if you approach it from a different mindset—for people who have a hard time motivating themselves—think of it as just a different movement where you just stand, shift your weight, or just swing your leg back and forth or side to side. Even stand there and swivel your hips. Just keep moving your joints in a different way, and I think what happens is you realize, ‘this feels really good.’ Just literally a minute of moving the body in a different position, a different angle, also shifts your mind. And afterwards you think, ‘well that was easy, that felt good, and I’m going to do it next time.’ So it’s a little step that builds, and as we know, little steps make big improvement over time.

Movement enhances my creative outlets. It helps me get unstuck. Being a creative, there are moments when I'm wondering, ‘where is that inspiration?’ Movement helps the blood circulate, helps the endorphins get released. That’s where creativity begins to flow. Not only does exercise help with getting better sleep, release of tension, better mobility, and helping you heal if you fall or sprain, it also helps with the creative aspect of coming up with new ideas or being inspired to try something different—all outside of exercise. You hear people say, ‘I have to leave my computer and go for a walk.’ It clears the mind. Sometimes it’s hard to go for a walk, if you’re in a busy city or it’s winter, but there are so many ways to just move.

If you are someone who struggles to be motivated to move, there is so much you can do in your chair. Doesn’t that sound nice for people who consider themselves lazy? You don’t even have to get out of your chair! Forward bends, back bends, twists. You can raise one leg and hold it and that’s still exercising your muscles. It’s tremendous. That could be looked at as a fun thing to do for people who are turned off to the whole idea of exercise.

I’m so inspired by people on social media who are ninety or one-hundred, and are still doing amazing moves with their bodies! The body isn’t meant to slow down and stiffen up. It’s up to us to keep it mobile, to keep it flowing, and it will respond. Imagine later in life being able to still move like you can now. That is a huge motivating factor, but you have to work at it. Everything you want is worth working for.

7 Ways to Thrive

Roxanne Gould on Paris Vogue Magazine Cover

Embracing the Power of Commitment and Consistency.

Today, I’d like to share some recent revelations I had on what has kept me going and driven over the years when it comes to my career. I could sum it up with this transformative duo of: commitment and consistency.

Throughout my own life, I worked hard at my modeling career. I didn’t stop to consider that my actions were committed nor consistent. I only was focused to making my career a success.

It’s only in retrospect that I see there was always the duo of commitment and consistency that kept me going. They helped me reach milestones I never would have dreamed of as my younger self, for example, landing a Vogue cover (pictured above) and having the second longest career as a fashion model, spanning over five decades!

Commitment, the bedrock of achievement, empowers us to dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to our chosen path. It is an unwavering devotion to a goal, or our own personal passion. When we sincerely embrace commitment, we ignite a powerful intention that fuels our every action. It means showing up consistently, day after day, undeterred by obstacles. Commitment entails making a solemn promise to ourselves and taking ownership of our choices.

In each of our lives times, there is an abundant amount of possibilities and potential. Let’s take ownership of our choices and the sooner the better. Here are a few key steps I have found to help nourish and develop these qualities in my own life:

1. Define Your Purpose This is the first step! When you have a clear vision of your purpose, commitment becomes easier as it is rooted in a deep sense of meaning and fulfillment. Identify what truly matters to you and align your commitments with your authentic self, your passions and your values. Visualize your purpose in your mind’s eye, everyday. Even let your imagination come into play.

2. Set Meaningful Goals This is such an important step to help you reach milestones! Break down your aspirations into specific, achievable goals. Ensure that these goals are realistic and aligned with your values and purpose. By setting clear goals and objectives, you create a roadmap that will more easily guide your consistent efforts and fuel your commitment.

3. Establish Daily Ritual This one is key! Daily rituals, or routines, reinforce your commitment, lay the foundation for progress, and over time, help to make your efforts more effortless. Whether it's dedicating a specific time each day to work on your passion or practicing a skill regularly, these rituals and action steps can take you consistently towards your goals.

4. Welcome Accountability This step always helps me! Find an accountability partner or join a supportive community that shares your interests or goals. Surround yourself with individuals who uplift and encourage you and help you commit. By sharing your commitments with others, you create a sense of responsibility that strongly helps you maintain consistency and commitment.

5. Celebrate Milestones This step I wish I had done more when I was younger! It took me years to learn that this step reinforces positive habits. Acknowledge and celebrate your progress along the way. Every small step counts, and by acknowledging your achievements, you reinforce the positive habits and reinforce your commitment.

6. Embrace Resilience This step helped me release the need for control and to simply allow! Understand that setbacks and challenges are part of the journey. Cultivate patience and learn from your failures. Rather than seeing obstacles as roadblocks, view them as opportunities for growth. Find the courage to persevere, adapt, and, if need be, search for alternative paths to your goals.

7. Practice Self-Compassion This step has been the most easy for me to overlook! Be kind to yourself throughout the process. Recognize that consistency and commitment require dedication, and it's natural to have off days. Treat yourself with understanding and compassion when you stumble or face obstacles. Remember, it's about progress, not perfection.

By nourishing consistency and commitment in your own life, you create a fertile ground for personal growth and fulfillment. Embrace the journey with open arms, knowing that each step you take, no matter how small, brings you closer to realizing your aspirations.

Now, dear readers, I invite you to take a moment for reflection. How can you incorporate more consistency and commitment into your own life? What steps will you take to nurture these qualities and align them with your purpose and goals? I would love to hear your insights, experiences, and any strategies you have found helpful in fostering consistency and commitment. Feel free to share your thoughts and reflections with us, as they will only help.

With heartfelt wishes for your continued growth,

Roxanne Gould

Shine Bright Like a Diamond: My Secrets to Sparkling White Teeth

One of my Instagram videos went viral, and because of that, I have had many comments and questions about my teeth. The funniest comments have been from people who are certain my teeth are veneers or they are convinced my teeth are dentures and look fake. The purpose of writing this blog is to publicly say, my teeth are 100% natural and my own.

And to those people who commented that they would like to know what I do to maintain such white teeth, please read on.

My dental routine has always been something I enjoyed spending the time doing because I love the feeling of clean teeth. I’ll share the steps I take to clean my teeth and what I do in between cleaning and how to keep them as white as possible. Take from this list what you like but remember consistency is key. Cleaning your teeth daily is a must!

First thing in the morning I scrap my tongue with this basic tongue scraper and then I brush to freshen up my mouth. After all meals I will floss, use a water pick then brush. I do this twice a day, at least.

Brushing your teeth regularly is a no-brainer, but we have to start with the basics. If you're not brushing your teeth at least twice a day, you're setting yourself up for some serious dental problems over time. My favorite toothpaste is by Hello and it is a charcoal toothpaste. It may take some time to get used to the charcoal color. It feels counterintuitive but it works to brighten and whiten teeth.

From time to time I will use Crest Whitening Strips. You have be sure to follow directions and not use them too long or too much as they can cause teeth and gum sensitivity. You might want to check with your dentist to make sure it is safe your your individual dental health. Using whitening strips is not a substitute for cleaning!

Use a toothbrush with soft bristles. It's like a little massage for your gums. If you use a hard-bristled brush, you'll feel like you're scraping your teeth with a wire brush and could actually cut your gums. Ouch!

Consider using a soft toothbrush that is made out of recycled plastic which has less of an impact on the environment, reduces waste and is better for the environment. I like using bamboo toothbrushes. You could try toothbrushes with a replaceable head or ones made out of recycled plastic.

Next, floss daily. Yes, you might think it’s a pain, but it's worth it. Think of all the food particles and germs you're removing from between your teeth. Floss even the back molars. Every tooth counts! My go-to floss is Vegan Biodegradable Bamboo Charcoal Floss with a refillable stainless steel container.

The third step in my dental routine is using a water pick. It’s always amazing how much more food particles a water pick can remove, as well as plaque. This is a vital step not to be overlooked. Water picks are especially helpful to those who struggle using dental floss. Plus, water picks really help in reducing gum inflammation. There are cordless water picks which are great for traveling.

Use a mouthwash, too. It's like a minty fresh kiss for your mouth. Plus, it helps kill germs and freshens your breath. Just don't swallow it. Trust me.

Limit sugary and acidic foods and drinks. This might be a tough one, but it's important for the health of your teeth. Sugar and acid can wreak havoc on your teeth, so try to limit your intake. The healthier your diet is, the stronger your teeth will be.

Talking about foods, did you know certain foods can stain your teeth over time? Coffee, black teas, red wine, foods with artificial coloring, even berries are some of the worst. If they will stain your clothes, they will stain your teeth. I like my coffee and tea and berries. Don’t get me wrong—I don’t NOT eat them because they might stain my teeth. What I do is rinse my mouth after I consume them. I rinse until the water I spit out is as clear as the water I put in my mouth. This might take a few rinses. Using a straw when drinking cold drinks like iced coffee or colas help to keep the teeth from getting stained, too.

Multiple times during the day I will rinse my mouth. Doing this throughout the day keeps my mouth feeling fresh. It’s not always possible to brush after every meal or after a snack, but rinsing with water throughout the day can help keep your mouth clean and fresh. I usually have my Yeti water bottle with me and some dental floss in my pocket. It feels so good to remove food stuck in between your teeth. You could even consider carrying a travel-sized bottle of mouthwash with you to make rinsing on-the-go easier.

Visiting the dentist regularly is important for maintaining good dental hygiene. The dentist can clean your teeth much better, check for cavities and gum disease, and offer advice on how to keep your teeth and gums healthy. I aim to visit my dentist at least twice a year. No matter how well you think you clean your teeth, the dental hygienist can clean them better!

One frightening thought is the cost of having to replace damaged teeth, not to mention the physical pain it causes. Implants, dentures, filling cavities, bridges, veneers, etc., are very expensive, especially if you don’t have dental insurance. The complexity of the procedures, the materials used, and the location of the tooth add to the cost. This might be a motivator to keep your teeth clean!

In conclusion, maintaining good dental hygiene is essential for keeping your teeth and gums healthy. By following these steps, you can establish a dental hygiene routine like I have, to help prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath. Remember to brush your teeth regularly, floss daily, use mouthwash, eat a healthy diet, and visit your dentist regularly. With these habits in place, you can enjoy a healthy and beautiful smile for years to come!

Now hopefully, the misconception that I have veneers or dentures can be laid to rest. It's possible to have healthy white teeth for life with good healthy daily practices and hopefully what I've shared with you will help you, too, have healthy and sparkling white teeth.

Tips for Keeping Silver Strands Gorgeous

If you’re on Instagram, you may have noticed that young “influencers” are prolific on the social media platform. Yet, as a mature woman, on Instagram I have amassed more than 155,000 followers. Maybe that's because mature women are alive and well and like to see themselves represented on social media.

My signature is long, gray hair. It is something I embrace and encourage my followers to embrace their grey hair, too. Many women went this route during the pandemic, deciding to keep their grays after salon shutdowns forced them to take a hiatus from coloring their hair. For me, I commenced my gray hair journey several years prior, and have since collected a wealth of knowledge on how to make gray hair look its best — from both personal and professional experience. Let me share my expertise with you.

Remember that the journey to acceptance isn’t always easy.

When I found my first gray hair at 27 years old, I wasn’t ready for that change! I plucked it out, praying it wouldn’t damage my career, and proceeded to dye my hair for the next 10 years — until I reached a point where I got sick of monthly salon appointments, using strong chemicals, and trying to cover up who I was. Just as I was about ready to give up on modeling, as fate would have it, my gray hair gave me a unique look in the fashion industry. Years after finding that first gray, I'm working more than I ever expected. While you may worry and fear that grays will reveal your own natural aging process, I urge to jump into that fear — after all, you never know what the results might be. You may end up accessing a newfound confidence, plus you’ll inevitably save money skipping all those salon appointments!

Find the products that work for you.

It's been years since I stopped dyeing my gray hair, but that doesn’t mean I quit following a haircare routine. There’s been a lot of trial and error involved in finding the best products for silver locks. I’ve tried a lot of hair products in the past. Today, my favorites are Redken and Kerastase, for both regular and purple shampoos and conditioners. Purple shampoo can restore the smoothness and luminosity of gray hair. My favorites are Redken Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo (Buy from Amazon, $25) and Kerastase Blond Absolu Bain Ultra-Violet Shampoo (Buy from Amazon, $23.46).

I'm also a fan of Olaplex, a brand who makes a leave-in styling treatment (Buy from Amazon, $30), as well as Oribe’s Silverati line, which is specifically made for silver hair, and includes an Illuminating Pomade (Buy from Amazon, $39). I'm always open to discovering new products, and lately I'm particularly interested in using ones that are vegan and environmentally friendly. Recently, I've been enjoying Authentic Beauty Concept’s Hydrate Cleanser Shampoo (Buy from Amazon, $31), which features naturally moisturizing ingredients like mango and basil extracts. You can find more of my favorite products on my Shop tab.

Follow these three styling tips.

Once you’ve let your natural gray come through, there are some tips I recommend for styling it. The many professional hair stylists that have worked on me over the years have taught me a lot, and I enjoy passing on what I've learned to other women. Because gray hair is more porous, over time, hair products and heating tools can change the color and give it a yellow tinge. Here are the three ways I prevent this from happening, and keep my silver hair soft and looking shiny and smooth.

Avoid using heated tools.I air-dry my hair as often as possible, as heat can cause breakage and dryness — both things you want to avoid when maintaining your grays. Wash off styling products as soon as possible. Don’t let styling products stay on your hair for days at a time. Why? Product buildup can give gray hair a brassy tone and weigh down your strands. Avoid dryness with a leave-in conditioner. Gray hair tends to be dryer than other hair colors so it’s vital to keep it hydrated. My favorite leave-in conditioner is the Oribe Silverati Illuminating Treatment Masque ( Buy from Amazon ). There are many other conditioners at different price points you can try. Just be sure not to leave the conditioner on longer than the package advises, to avoid product buildup.Embrace mindfulness.

In addition to being a model and influencer, I also work as a life coach and meditation teacher, and even recently published a memoir, More Than Just a Pretty Face: Lessons Learned from a Lifetime in Front of the Camera (Buy from Amazon, $17.99).

Radical acceptance, or accepting situations that are outside of your control, is an essential part of mindful living — and it applies not just to existential issues, but also physical ones. I have convinced many women to go gray, have had countless conversations about the joys and challenges of the process. Too often women have shared that they fear their family or friends won’t like how they look if they go gray, even though they long to do it. I urge women to consider why they are willing to put the concerns of others before themselves. So, if you’re starting to feel tired of covering your grays, try to get past your fears of what others might think. If you make yourself happy first, then you’ll be in a better position to make others happy.

My journey toward accepting and ultimately embracing my gray hair has been a long one — but it has resulted in tranquility. Having gray hair has strengthened me as a woman and given me more self-confidence and a sense of peace. With gray hair I show up in the world as I truly am — and in a time when mature women so often feel pressured to appear younger than their age, the notion that gray hair can be a source of peace rather than stress is a welcomed one indeed.

The Best Tinted Moisturizer on the Market

Are you looking for the best tinted moisturizer? Do you want to find a product that will give you a natural glow, while protecting your skin from the sun? If so, then you need to check out this newest product from DRMTLGY. It's my new favorite. I think you'll like it, too. This company is exploding right now and for good reason!

This new tinted moisturizer is perfect for women over 40, and it provides plenty of benefits that you won't find in other products. Read on!

If you're like me, you're always on the lookout for the best tinted moisturizer. I've had women ask me how I get my skin to glow and look so fresh. They ask me which foundation I use? Honestly, usually I only wear foundation on set when I'm modeling. But on a day to day basis, I wear this Universal Tinted Moisturizer. I love that it has a high SPF46 and my skin stays moist with only this product. No need for layers of products! I've tried a bunch over the years, and I think I've finally found my favorite. You must try it!

Tinted moisturizers have become more popular in recent years as a way to get the benefits of both moisturizer and foundation makeup in one product. But do they really provide all the benefits of both products? Is one better than the other? While tinted moisturizers have become more popular recently, there is still some debate over whether they are better than foundation makeup. Let's take a closer look at the pros and cons of each to help you decide which is best for you.

Typically, tinted moisturizers provide all the benefits of a traditional moisturizer, such as hydration and prevention of dry skin, while also providing light coverage to even out skin tone because they usually contain a small amount of foundation makeup. The consistency is lightweight and usually feels less greasy on the skin than foundation makeup. Plus, they usually contain SPF sunscreen to protect against the sun.

However, tinted moisturizers do not offer as much coverage as foundation makeup. Foundation makeup typically provides more coverage than tinted moisturizers, but can look heavy or cakey on the skin. Here's a trick of the trade: When I'm modeling, professional makeup artists will mix a couple of drops of oil to the foundation to help give me that dewy look. The results are great, but that's an extra step I don't want to do everyday and adding just the right of oil can be tricky.

Personally, I find that after a full day of wearing foundation straight out of the bottle, it settles into my wrinkles and needs to be freshened up, whereas the tinted moisturizer looks just as fresh as when I first applied it. It is also important to select the right shade of foundation so that it does not look too obvious or artificial.

One of the main advantages of tinted moisturizers over foundation makeup is that

they are typically much lighter in texture and easier to apply they have a more sheer quality they also usually contain SPF they hydrate your skin while providing some coverage they blend into the skin more easily, giving a more natural appearance

On the downside to tinted moisturizers

So, which is better for you? It depends on your personal preferences and your skin type. If you have oily skin, foundation makeup may be a better option for you. If you have dry skin, a tinted moisturizer may be a better choice. Tinted moisturizers offer the benefits of both moisturizer and foundation makeup: they hydrate the skin while providing some coverage and color.

On the whole, tinted moisturizers typically have a creamier consistency than foundation makeup, which makes them feel more like skincare products moisturizer, adding hydration and preventing dry skin, while also providing a small amount of coverage to even out skin tone. This one from DRMTLGY is so amazing that you really must consider trying it. This product can be worn under your foundation while protecting it against the sun. I have to mention it also features a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, and Vitamin E.

In conclusion, both tinted moisturizers and foundation makeup have their own advantages and disadvantages. The best option for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. I believe that this Universal Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 46 from DRMTLGY is a great option for everyday wear because it provides sunblock, moisture, and light coverage. Plus, it comes in a variety of colors to match your skin tone. If you have sensitive skin, like me, no need to worry about getting a reaction because this company has two rules: 1) It can't be bad for you and 2) It has to work. They are keeping to their own rules!

As you know, it’s important that you wear sunblock religir — it come in a variety of colors so you can find the perfect one for your skin tone. Plus, if you join their autoship program, you’ll never run out of your favorite product (I make sure I never run out) and you'll save. 4 Best Shampoos and Conditioners for Silver Hair

Ever wondered which shampoo and conditioner is best for silver, grey, platinum and blond hair? I've tried these. It's amazing what a good product will do for your hair! Deep conditioners and hair masks are good for your hair, too, but that's for another post!

Clean ingredients have always been important to me. The items below are incredible because they effectively eliminate brassy tones. They have ingredients that people with sensitive skin can use, brightens silver hair, help to even out hair color, are fortifying and all without the top known allergens.

Because the print on the bottles can be small, making it hard in the shower to differentiate between the shampoo and the conditioner bottles, put the shampoos on the upper shelf of your shower caddy and conditioner on the bottom shelf. That way you know which is which. If you don't have a shower caddy, then place the shampoo in one particular place in the shower and the conditioner always in another. Hopefully, that will help those of you who can't read the labels in the shower, like me!

Four Reasons Shampoo and Toner Bottles

Four Reasons Toning Shampoo and Toning Treatment lightens and brightens really well! This product has many different tones to choose from to give you the just the right color you want. It's vegan and really refreshes your color and brightens the tone. It made my white hair even whiter! The color is semi-permanent. It uses plant based proteins.

Authentic Beauty Concept Bottle

Did you know you can over use a purple shampoo? You'll know when you are using too much because your hair will start to get a purple hue. If you don't want that to happen, alternate between using your purple shampoo and your regular shampoo. Everything from Authentic Beauty Concept line is fabulous and I recommend it. For all types and all colors. Nice for daily use. Pure, clean products.

Redken Color Extend Graydiant Bottle

A trusted and much loved brand in shampoos and conditioners. Redken Color Extend Graydiant Silver Shampoo and Conditioner protects, neutralizes and tone corrects really well as a shampoo and conditioner set! I love the gentleness of this product.

Moroccanoil Blonde Perfecting Shampoo Tube

We all know grey hair needs more moisture. Moroccanoil Blonde Perfecting Shampoo will correct brassy tones while nourishing your hair. Repairs even damaged hair. The violet pigments will enhance the dimensions of your hair.

By regularly using a purple shampoo at home, you can counteract brassy yellow tones so your hair looks fresh again, even if your hair is brunette with highlights which can turn brassy, too. The key is choosing the right purple shampoo. If you’ve ever dabbled in blonde hair dye, you know that the blonde hair can also quickly start to turn and within a few weeks, yellow tones can ruin the golden hue. It’s not just blonde hair that can turn brassy and yellow. White, gray, and silver hair can oxidize and change color, too.

Thankfully, brassy tones can be handled right in your own home saving you time and money!

No matter the length of your hair, it always needs upkeep. Personally, I love having long hair but deciding to go grey wasn't easy because I thought it would end my career as a model. Little did I know it would catapult my career into a whole new direction. I learned that everything you want is on the other side of fear.
