Instagram influencer and working model Roxanne Gould has had the second-longest career in the often-short-lived modeling world. When she was a little girl, she got a taste of the industry by appearing alongside her mother in a Bayer Aspirin TV commercial. As a teenager, she got a job as a receptionist at The Barbizon School of Modeling in San Francisco, confident she would be able to find an agent and launch her career. Her first big rejection from the Ford Modeling Agency only fueled her determination to make her mark in the beauty industry.

Roxanne moved to Europe and began working in beautiful cities like Paris, Hamburg, and Munich. She strutted countless runways for Haute Couture and Pret-a-Porter shows in Paris and modeled for top designers such as Jil Sander, Escada, and Fendi.

Some of the fashion industry’s best-known photographers— Sante D’Orazio, Jean Loup Sieff, and Juergen Teller—have captured her look for global advertising campaigns. During the course of her career, Roxanne has modeled alongside other industry greats such as Lauren Hutton, Maye Musk, and Ashley Graham.

In the 1990s, Roxanne moved back to the United States. In her forties, she decided to embrace her natural gray hair and her unretouched face. The fashion industry quickly responded and made her the face of several national brands. Her courage to be herself has helped pave the way for countless other women to do the same. Today her modeling career is busier than ever as the demand for natural, realistic beauty grows. Recent campaigns she has worked on include Saks’ “No Apologies” campaign, Wella Hair, L’Oreal Hair, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and many others. Christian Siriano, Soma, Chico’s, and Eileen Fisher are just a few of Roxanne’s clients that have embraced gray-haired women. Today, one of Roxanne’s agents is at Ford, the same agency that rejected her years ago. She made it after all.

In addition to her career, Roxanne has run a successful coaching business that seeks to build teenage girls’ self-esteem through modeling. She expanded her clientele to include women of all ages who are seeking the path to living a healthy and happy life filled with purpose. She also gives back to women and children through her work with the Big Brother/Big Sister organization and other charities.

Roxanne earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the American Institute of Holistic Theology in Parapsychic Science, which studies how religion, science, and philosophy affect mankind. She has become a certified Chopra Wellness coach and a certified Chopra Meditation Instructor. Roxanne lives a happy life focused on keeping her body well through clean eating and exercise. She balances her mental state with daily meditation and keeps her emotional state strong by making sure to laugh every day.
