Eastern Cowboy – the Story Behind the Story

Eating Sushi

Marty on Being the Cover Model for Backward

Marty is the cover model for Backward and I asked him to write a few thoughts on being a cover model.  He is a great guy and takes one heck of a photograph!!!! Backward – The Cover

Marty Pfeifer is the model who posed for the cover of Backward.  Once I had finished the manuscript, I asked Jesse and Dirk if they knew of someone who would be interested in posing for the cover of Backward.  I asked for a larger man who was older.  I didn’t want a young kid.  They told me about Marty and sent me a few pictures.  As you can see by the finished work, he’s a handsome man and was perfect to portray Harry on the cover of Backward.  Joey Flyfoto agreed to shoot the images as he did for Jesse … Continued

Be Prepared to Go Backward

Sometimes book covers have a story and this one certainly does.  Backward is the third story in the Broncos Boys series and releases February 13.   Jesse Jackman and Dirk Caber were the models in the first two covers.  The third story, Backward has a friend of theirs, Marty, as the model.    He is not an actor or model, but he did an awesome job. With the title, we wanted to get both the back of the model as well as his face on the so they used a mirror to get the image.  Of course we didn’t start out with that concept. … Continued

Fire and Water – My Thoughts on Release Day!!!

Christmas with Andrew

I write blog posts all the time and sometimes I forget to write on my own blog.  So I decided to write a post about Christmas with Andrew.  Dominic is amazing and he cooks all kinds of Christmas goodies including cookies and fruitcake.  He also does all the food for our huge holiday open house.  He is an amazing man and I’m lucky to have him in my life.
