Happy Halloween

As some of you know, Dominic is an amazing pumpkin carver. For the last few days he hasn’t been feeling very well, however last night was Trick or Treating and to him that means pumpkins. So after he got home from work, I heard him downstairs in the kitchen scraping and carving pumpkins. Now there are two rules for me at this time of year, either help or get out of the way. I chose the latter. He was on a tear and I knew I was going to be in the way. Instead I lay upstairs nursing my aching … Continued

Alot Happens Between Loathing and Love

When I started writing this story I didn’t know exactly what I was getting myself in for. I asked myself what would happen if the person who quashed my high school dreams came into my life later in life and I had the power to make their dreams come true. Would I use that power for good or for evil? If it was in the course of my job, would I stand up and do my job, or take the weasel way out? These were all things I got to explore with his book and I’d like to think I’m … Continued

Guest: Tempeste O’Riley – What keeps your focused on your story while writing?

What keeps your focused on your story while writing? Do you have a writing buddy or group? When writing I work hard to keep writing the story at hand. My biggest problem, of course, is my health, I’ve been very open and public about my health issues, but beyond that are the evil plot bunnies, lol. They are hard to kill, darn them, and sometimes they lead to significant additions to stories or to totally new stories, so I have to weed through them, not just toss them out-out of hand. The biggest thing I do is have betas. I … Continued

A New Place to Follow Me

Last night I went to a wonderful program at the Maryland Romance Writers. They had a speaker who talked about social media. It was really wonderful and as a result of that talk, I have been opened up to the wonderful world of Instagram and I am expanding my use of Pinterest. I love that both of these social media sites are picture based because I’m a visual kind of guy. On Pinterest I am Andrew Grey And on Instagram I am andrewgreybooks. In both places you will see my usual smiling face, so you’ll know if you found the … Continued

Release Day

I’m going let you all in on a little secret. I have had over 100 release days in my career. The exact number is hard to count, but there have been a lot. And I still get as nervous and anxious with each one as I did with my very first release. Each time I hope readers will like it what I wrote. I put a lot of myself in each story and I want the reader to love it because liking my work is in a way liking me. I know that may sound a little strange, but it’s … Continued
