With Jude Delacroix off searching for the prophecy, Thomas—a guardian angel with sea-green eyes and an aura of winter woods—steps into the gap, offering her the power to protect herself.
Yet she hesitates, for the transfer of that power comes through a kiss. While Gen’s love for Jude is true, Thomas stirs a desire where there should be none. Thomas also knows Jude’s darkest secret and plans to use it, if necessary, to win Gen for his own.
While her Vessel power grows and more demon spawn creep from every dark corner of the world, one thing is certain—the Great War between the angels and demons is quickly approaching. And Gen is in a race against time to awaken her full power before the storm breaks.

Spotlight: Exposed to Passion by Gemma Brocato

Book Description
They walked through the shadows individually. Will they emerge into the light together?
Leading a vagabond life as a curator for a traveling photography exhibit translates to a lot of bad days for Rikki Salerno. But her trouble doubles when a careless high school student shoves her into a marsh. Being rescued by teacher Sam Kerrigan should have made things better, but Rikki’s inability to confess her true identity casts a shadow over their budding affair. When Sam refuses an overly aggressive parent’s marriage proposal, she’s determined to ruin him. Not only does she doctor photos to make it look like Sam’s behaved inappropriately in front of students, she hacks the foundation website to reveal Rikki’s true identity. Faster than the blink of a shutter, Rikki’s focus changes from pursuing her full-color future to the black and white necessity of clearing Sam’s name.
Excerpt “Holy cow! Consider me seduced.” She didn’t recognize her own voice. Desire rasped through it, whispery and thick at the same time. Allowing her finger to slip from the steamy confines of his mouth, he pressed a kiss to her palm, then released his hold. She curled her hand into a fist around the kiss he’d left, hoping to hold onto the heat and lingering sensation. “Oh, Jesus. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have kissed you like that. It was too fast, wasn’t it? I mean, we only just met…but I thought, I mean, you seemed to want…and you didn’t say no. Christ, I’m so sorry.” Sam’s tone rattled with a misplaced apology. “I have no excuse. I’m a horndog.” He eased her away from his chest and helped her to sit up, then pushed himself upright and scooted a respectful distance from her. The apology in his tone and the loss of his body heat hit her like a cold slap. His words stung. He regretted kissing her. The tingly pulses zipping from her fingertip to her heart did nothing to tamp down the hurt. She hadn’t wanted him to stop. Normally the queen of snarky retorts, words failed her now.

Except that her husband just left her for a woman barely out of high school, and is suing her for everything she has. The scandal’s rocked her world, but nothing compared to the shakeup after she meets rock star Rex Reynolds.
Rex Reynolds, rock god and general mess, has everything he could possibly need—except love. The real kind, that inspires the greatest love songs. An appearance on a late night talk show seems just another gig until he meets Cyn, the sweetest, kindest woman whose thoughtfulness touches his soul. When a motorcycle accident robs him of his memory, one image blazes bright in his mind: Cyn. He’s convinced she’s his fiancee. Now all that stands between him and true happiness is her hesitancy.

Excerpt If only he’d take off those damn sunglasses, she’d have a better idea of what he was thinking. Maybe. “They were right.” He jutted out his chin. “Who?” Had he heard something? Known all along about her husband? Maybe he was the real tabloid spy. She released an inward groan. “Whoever said you were a good listener. I’ve never bared my thoughts to anyone else.” She practically melted with relief. “You are, too. I feel better having let it all out.” To a complete stranger. Not her smartest move. “So do I. I actually feel as if a weight’s been lifted from me.” He tore off the Ray Bans and leaned toward her. “Don’t let any man treat you less than a princess.” She ducked her head. Not even as a girl had she dreamed of being royalty. Frilly dresses? Too hard to climb trees wearing them. Nor were palaces her style, debutante balls or any of the other nonsense. None of it seemed much fun. “I’m not very good with pedestals. Unless I’m giving it a makeover.” But she could imagine him a prince, easily. Light blue flecked his dark blue eyes, the effect mesmerizing. “You have lovely eyes.” A slow smile crept over his face. “Too much mascara and liner, I’m told.” “A little.” Way more than her. “But I imagine you need the look to maintain your image. And you wear it well.” Brows furrowed, he leaned even closer. “Who are you?” Warmth flushed her face. “Should have introduced myself earlier, sorry.” After recovering from the near-faint, perhaps? Or should she have waited until after insulting him? “Cynthia Winterspoon.” She extended her hand. “A princess name if I ever heard one.” He bent his head to touch his lips to her fingers, cradled gently in his hand. Excitement tiptoed across her skin. She forgot to argue against the royal title. “Well, Cyn.” He made it sound so sexy and slightly devilish. “You have lovely eyes, too.” His gaze swept down to her lips, her cleavage. “Lovely… everything. But your eyes, they’re captivating. The term ‘doelike’ comes to mind. I haven’t seen any woman pull off such an innocent-sexy combo since Marilyn Monroe. I bet you’re a real man eater, aren’t you?” No, but she’d be willing to learn. She almost forgot to breathe. And something even more important. “What’s your name?” Surprise flickered across his face. “Rex Reynolds.” “And you’re in a band? What do you do, play guitar?” Up close, he lost some of the bad boy mystique. His scruffy look had been carefully cultivated—too much hair product gave the stringy effect. His clothes were rumpled, but clean. The scent of coconut and lime teased her senses. The stubble on his chin couldn’t be more than a day old. “Not a fan, eh?” He shot a dubious glance at her boots. “Let me guess. Country music?” She tilted her chin. “Classical.” “Wagner, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven? That sort?” He knit his brow. “Nothing contemporary?” She repressed the urge to apologize. “My parents forbade it.” Another full body scan, ripe with appreciation, left her feeling more naked than she could remember. He took her hands in his. “You’re all grown up now, Cyn. Take a walk on the wild side.” Spoken like a flirty tease, and a challenge that invited her somewhere soft and warm, where her wildest, most decadent dreams could come true. Her heart did a fluttery flip. When?

Cover reveal: To Eternity by Daisy Banks
To Eternity Book 2 in the Timeless Series
Wild beneath the moon…
For centuries Magnus has lived according to the dictates of the moon, his heart isolated by the domination of his wolf nature. Now fate has brought the beautiful, independent Sian to his house at Darnwell and their irresistible attraction has exploded into a white-hot passion. Yet she is not wolf, and the time has come for her to embrace the change. But once she completes the ritual and claims her place next to Magnus, the rivals will appear on the horizon…
Excerpt from Chapter 1 of To Eternity.
Thank God. No claws. Magnus examined his hand, a man’s hand, before he clasped Sian’s offered palm and met the massive dark pupils in her gaze as she set the padlock down. Naked, grimed by the process of transformation, he used her help to haul himself up from the floor. She slipped the silver necklace with the key to his chains inside her shirt. He grimaced as he wiped the scraps of crusty dust left after his transformation from his arms. October’s full moon had proved nothing like the last. This time there was no delightful shared dream. Instead, Sian had met more of the wolf he carried within him. Heaven help him, tonight she bore an injury to attest an encounter he couldn’t recall. God. He gritted his teeth. His gaze fixed on her. “What happened?” He nodded to her bandaged arm dreading her answer. “How did you get hurt?” “Here, Magnus.” Sian draped a warm robe around his shoulders. “I’m fine.” She glanced to her arm. “This, it’s not more than a scratch.” He staggered away from the cage, where the beast spent his days, leaning on her for support. “I scratched you?” he managed to ask, begging for confirmation of his fears. “It was my fault. I got too close to the bars. We’ll get you to the bathroom, then I’ll go make us something to eat.” He dragged one slow step after another. Sian slipped her arm around his waist, and with her help, he made it along the corridor to the bathroom. She opened the faucet on the bath while he drank two glasses of water. All the time, he kept his gaze on her. “You bathe, I’ll go cook. Please, Magnus, don’t worry.” She smiled. “We’ve survived this month’s full moon.”

Their love will be eternal, the legend says...if they survive.
Lonely and forced into a life of secrecy, four hundred-year-old Magnus finds Sian--the sexy music film producer who’s working in his house--tough to ignore. As she resists his alter ego when he invades her dreams to seduce her, her innate powers astound him and his need only grows. In dreams or reality, he’s determined to make her his. She is meant for him alone. Independent, hard-working Sian has hopes and plans for the future that include the stately house at Darnwell. Not its aloof owner. She’s there to acquire the home for a video shoot, nothing more. By day, each layer she explores in Magnus’s grand old home with him leads her deeper into love. But by night, he seduces her in her dreams, gives her ecstasy like she’s never known. Then she learns his secret: Come the full moon, she is the only one who can control his wolf curse. First though, she has to survive it.
Excerpt The car was well over the speed limit as she pelted along the hectic miles of road that wound through dense woodland to the gothic palace belonging to Count Johansson. She had to get there. The compulsion intensified the closer she got. At last, the black gates came into view, and relief overcame apprehension, for a few seconds at least. Small stones spun, lumps zinging at her paintwork, as she sped up the drive. She slammed the brakes on and shot out of the car as fast as she could. Today at least, no rain marred the view, but the place remained as though it lurked in the rich wealth of trees around it. Forgoing the antique doorknocker, she rang the bell and waited. “He can’t read my dreams,” she muttered, one last effort at her mantra. The knots in her stomach and the nagging need to see him didn’t dissipate. Oh God. Magnus opened the door, and his gaze locked on hers. He knew. She fought to remain standing, gripped the doorjamb for support. Not only did he know, but he wanted her to understand that he knew. The realization coiled around her tight as gaffer tape. His dark eyes held the calculating flash of hunting yellow, and she stifled the urge to run, to race away as fast as she could...with the prayer he’d follow and capture her. “Sorry I’m late again,” she said, breathed in his cologne, and tried to catch hold of her sanity. “Good morning, Miss Armstrong,” he said. “I had the local radio on. I knew you’d be late with the accident. It’s caused a massive hold-up. I won’t ask if your journey was good. Where would you like to start today?” Her mouth dried in anticipation. She’d like to start by tearing off the gray casual shirt he wore and raking her nails over the muscles it hid. Her heartbeat raced. She’d like to start by savaging his mouth, as he’d taken hers, by shoving him to the floor and straddling him. Wetness dampened her underwear. Then she’d open the zip on those jeans and find him hot and hard. She’d like to start now.

Works in progress
I thought about doing NaNoWriMo this year. In fact, I even signed up for it. But my WIPs had other ideas. I have so many that have been knocking around in my head for too long. Years, in fact. I want them out. Gone. Too many voices in my head talking at once makes me a cranky writer.
And last month, another story idea hit me and took off. I'm at 21k now and don't want to put that on hold because the flow is going strong. You gotta ride those waves when they come, or they'll flow back out into the sea.
Of all things to inspire my muse, a TV commercial for a series or special starring Martha Stewart and Bret Michaels stopped me long enough to think, "what a weird combination." Then the characters morphed into a rock star and a younger decorator, and they started talking. Fleshing out their back story, what they wanted, and then - best of all - surprising me with little twists. I had to start writing fast to keep up with it.
Those are the best kind of stories. Like little gifts. So I decided to share the first chapters on WattPad. I've been posting some other stories, in whole or in part, if you'd like to check them out.
Here's the blurb for Rock My World:
At 37, Cynthia Winterspoon is a self-made millionaire, more popular than Martha Stewart. Women love her decorating and recipe ideas for every season, geared toward shabby chic, affordable for the middle class. Cynthia lives by her motto: Make your life enjoyable.
Can amnesia help them both remember what’s most important?
Eventually, I'll self-publish the story, so created this cover:

Two Goddess Connections coming soon!
These goddesses have been hanging around the house too long, drinking all the best wine, lounging on the sofas and not doing much of anything to earn their keep.
So I'm kicking them out the door soon. Putting them to work!
Awhile back, I'd unpublished Dancing with the Devil. After revising the story and creating a new cover, it's now Goddess, Inflamed. The heroine's the descendant of Persephone, wife of Hades, and this story is flaming hot. Much more so than the other two novels in this series. But with Hell as the setting, how could it not be?
Goddess, Spellbound's a brand new story. This heroine's descended from the Egyptian goddess of cats, Bastet. With the discovery of the queen pharaoh Hatshepsut's tomb a few years ago coinciding with the discovery of an ancient warrior who served her, and the false tomb door of one of her viziers, this story begged me to write it. So I did.
So, without further adieu, here are the goddesses...
When your life is hell, visiting the Underworld doesn’t seem much of a leap. As Ruling Prince of the Sixth Heaven, he’s waited an eternity for the chance to bring down his nemesis, Zeveriah. Seems like he’s wanted Lily for an eternity too. But once he saves her, will she be his downfall? Before her birthday, Lily didn’t know a damned thing. She’s about to learn all about The Damned, and find out everything she thought she knew was a lie…
Ancient pyramid tomb doors. Mummified warriors. Artifacts appearing from nowhere. And that’s just Sandy Whitaker’s work as museum curator. When spells become curses, and the dead return for vengeance, her dream job turns into a living nightmare. The warrior Iker’s triumphed over difficult pharaohs and returned from battles victorious, but dealing with Sandy Whitaker is his hardest task yet. A descendant of Egyptian goddess Bastet, she’s headstrong, naïve and completely alluring. Can he convince her to perform the ritual spells to save the Queen Pharaoh Hatshepsut’s eternal soul? More importantly, can he help her realize she doesn’t need to be descended from a goddess to be one herself?Sandy reluctantly embraces her heritage as Sanura, demi-goddess of cats. But even with her new powers, can she fulfill her destiny? If she can survive being kidnapped by a cobra shifter, she’ll do her best to perform the Pyramid Texts ritual spells so Hatshepsut can sail into the Afterlife at long last. But once the queen pharaoh is gone forever, will Iker leave her too?

Have a spooktacular Halloween!
The day's finally arrived! Halloween is here! I hope you're ready for the ghouls and goblins and Elsas and Spidermans who'll line up at your door. :)
Thanks to all the authors who came to party on my blog this month. If you haven't read through their interviews, you should - their spooky stories and ghostly encounters will give you the perfect chill for a dark All Hallow's Eve. I'm always surprised at just how many people have experiences that they can't explain. If I weren't already a believer, it would change my mind.
I had a wonderful surprise this month - Goddess, Awakened is now available in print!
*happy dances*
I can't wait to hold a copy in my hands!
