Add Your Name to the Early Readers List!
I want to thank everybody for their interest in the forthcoming book about the murder of Philip Shue. Tracy and I have received countless phone calls and emails asking when it will be released. Putting together a book of this magnitude is an arduous, yet thrilling task. Nobody is more eager than we are to get the truth told. As a writer, I don't think I could have asked for better materials and people to work with. Everyone involved has treated me and the process of writing with great respect.

Killing My Darlings
Hi all! Tracy and I have been busy updating the website for Military Families for Justice. For those who don’t know, MFFJ is a resource for bereaved military families, who, like Tracy, need answers into their loved ones death. It’s an important, yet time consuming endeavor. With this latest round of updates nearly complete, we are now able to turn our attention back to the book. I know many of you are wondering “When in the hell is this book going to come out?” Believe me, there are nights[image error]

Georgia On My Mind...
I love the South and couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else. Here lately, I've been tempted to weigh in on the Confederate flag issue. But I would rather know what I'm talking about before I open my mouth completely. For the record, I don't bow down before any flapping piece of cloth - I reserve that honor for the Creator. Still, with all of the new awareness surrounding the history of the Confederate States, I decided to do a little digging and reeducate myself as to just how Georgia came

The Witches of Tilley Bend
Established in the early 1800's, Tilley Bend Baptist Church sits deep in the north Georgia mountains at the foothills of Appalachia. It is alleged that during the early 1900's countless infants and children from the area died as the result of a spell cast by a witch named Polly Long. When Polly died, she was buried among them at Tilley Bend's cemetery and every year, especially around Halloween, visitors flock to the site. Standing out among the field stones once used to mark graves, is the[image error]

Remembering a Great Father
There are all kinds of fathers in this world but few have earned my respect as much as Lanny Davis. Lanny, a retired Vietnam Veteran who spent the last years of his life grieving for his son Army Specialist Richard Davis. Richard, who was murdered by members of his own platoon upon their return from the invasion on Iraq in 2003, never left his thoughts. He sought answers for the rest of his life and I was honored to have helped in some small way: "We will never see him get married and have

Entertaining Eccentrics: The Savannah Book Festival
Savannah is a hodgepodge of interesting and eccentric characters; all of them milling about, talking, enjoying a cocktail and having a blast! I was fortunate enough to take part in one of Savannah's Book Festivals and can't wait to take part in another one! They haven't posted the 2016 schedule yet, but here are some highlights from past events.

Goodbye Facebook!
By now, some of you may have noticed that my personal Facebook page is no longer available. (Some insane person told Facebook that I was not "Cilla McCain" and they shut me down.) Although my professional author page is still visible, I am not able to access it. It's an absurd mess, and at first I was pissed, but now I find it hilarious! I mean really, did you ever think a silly social media site would get so puffed up with itself they would have the nerve to ask for a copy of your passport to
