Fangs A Lot, Seneca, South Carolina!

I had the most amazing time last night at The Book Smith. I mean seriously, Minions, every stop on my tour gets better and bette. You guys are incredible! We had about 150 Minions from all over the state come out to celebrate Vlad (and meet yours truly), including a Minion I know well – Lee! Lee came out to party with me at the Snow Ball in Februay too. He rocks.

The Book Smith staff knows how to party. had a buffet waiting for me, and this amazing set up wth a gothic desk, where I...

The Goal: World Domination – The Plan: Continue FANGtastic Tour of Awesomeness

Yesterday was so amazing, Minions! I visited three incredible Florida schools who made me feel so welcome! And then hung out at the Book Center in Vero Beach and had a great time. Sadly, Auntie Heather's brain was pretty much cottage cheese by the time I got to the store, so I forgot my camera, but look what was waiting for me at the schools earlier in the day!

The absolutely best part of touring is spending time with you, my Minions. And I can't wait to see more of you! Even if you can't buy ...

OMV, Minion Horde! Books & Books sure knows how to throw a party! They greeted me with my special birthday princess crown of awesomeness, surprised me with an awesome cake (thanks to my fab publicist, Allison), gifted me with Atomic Fireballs (my fave), and hired a screamo band for me! A few pics:

If you missed out on all the fun tonight, you can catch me tomorrow at Vero Beach Books & Music in Vero Beach, Florida. Viva la Vlad!

Also….you have to check out this video of Rachel Caine and I!

You Can't Ignore Vera Dietz

Minions, every once in a while, you run into an author that is so powerful, it feels like they could change the world. I felt that way the first time I read Ellen Hopkins. And I feel that way now with A.S. King. PLEASE IGNORE VERA DIETZ is even more amazing than her DUST OF 100 DOGS! And there's no ignoring Vera. Trust me, Minion Horde, you want to read this book. And just look at this yummy cover!

To celebrate the impending release of PLEASE IGNORE VERA DIETZ, I'm giving away an ARC...

HOLY VLAD BUCK, BATMAN!

Life is really weird, Minions. Not just my life, but everyone's life. Time flies by so quickly at times (say, the summer passing by) and at other times, it drags on into eternity (like, for instance, when you're in the middle of algebra class and the bell. won't. ring.). And I think we sometimes forget to stop and enjoy the little things. You know…like finding out we now have Vlad smilies on dollar bills.

Yeah. Even the distant memory of algebra class comas couldn't bring me down after...

San Diego Comic Con (aka SDCC)

I just realized that I never blogged about how incredible Comic Con was! Which clearly means that my brain was melted by its IMMENSE AWESOMENESS. Forgive me and my melty brain, Minions!

My FANGtastic publisher sent me out to SDCC at the end of July for a lot of reasons:
1. Because they ROCK like that.
2. Because Minions tend to gather in the most nerdtastic places.
3. Because they got me on an awesome panel with peeps like Rachel Caine (Morganville Vampires), Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy)...

London – It's Brilliant, Yeah?

Greetings, Minion Horde!!!

Cuddle up in your cute lil skull-covered blankies, Minions, because Auntie Heather has missed you soooooo much and has so many fangtastic things to tell you! As many of you know (I really should get better about blogging the deets of my life, but in case I can't grasp that fact, you should follow me on Twitter or Facebook – links in the side bar) I recently ran away to London with my big sis. It was my first passport stamp, and it did not disappoint. We saw tons of ...
