Drive into the Flint Hills
Every time I have the chance to visit the Flint Hills, I try to turn off on a side road to take some pictures.
On my latest trip to Chase County, I managed to get some beautiful shots of the wildflowers. Enjoy!

Summer Concerts
This last month was very busy for our family as we traveled around Kansas for weekend concerts with our daughters. The coming months are just as packed with fun places to go and new people to meet.
If you're in any of these areas, we'd love for you to join us for a night of music. Learn more about The Vogts Sisters HERE.
We're continuing the process of recording the girls' second album. So far, so good. Everything is sounding really great, and we are eager to share their music with you.
If you've never heard them perform, here's a video clip of one of Maggie's first songs that she wrote. She now has over 20 original songs. Very exciting times!

Barn Images
This photos are from a previous post back in 2010. Our youngest daughter had been playing with my camera--and has since taken many, many pictures that I share here on my blog. She has quite a knack for taking pictures--much more creative about it than I. Here are a few pictures she took in our barn. Enjoy!

Our Trip to the Zoo
This past weekend as we traveled to a music gig, we stopped at the Topeka City Zoo. We've been to this zoo on many occasions, but hadn't visited it for quite a while. There seemed to be lots of new sites.
It was around noon when we arrived, and a lot of the animals were napping. Like the bears...
And lions...
And the tigers...
And the gorilla...
But not the elephants
Or the orangutans. What about you? Do you like visiting zoos? What is your favorite zoo? What is your favorite zoo animal? Share with us in the comments below.
