Book Preview ~ A Lady at Willowgrove Hall

A Lady at Willowgrove Hall, by Sarah Ladd

As the steward of Willowgrove Hall, Nathaniel Stanton is dedicated to serving those around him. Nothing escapes his notice-including the beautiful new lady's companion. He is certain the lovely Miss Faire is hiding something, and he determines to uncover it. But Nathaniel has a secret of his own: he is the illegitimate son of Willowgrove's former master. Falling in love was not part of his plans . . . until he meets Cecily Faire.

When Willowgrove's mistress dies, everything changes. Fear of exposure forces Cecily to leave under the cover of darkness, embarking on a journey to finally find her long-lost sister. When the will is read, Nathaniel's inheritance makes him question his future plans. Cecily and Nathaniel are forced to make decisions that will change the course of their lives. Is their love strong enough to survive? Purchase the book HERE.

Sarah E. Ladd has always loved the Regency period — the clothes, the music, the literature and the art. A college trip to England and Scotland confirmed her interest in
the time period and gave her idea of what life would’ve looked like in era. It wasn’t until 2010 that Ladd began writing seriously. Shortly after, Ladd released the first book in the Whispers on the Moors series. Book one of the series, The Heiress of Winterwood, was the recipient of the 2011 ACFW Genesis Award for historical romance. Ladd also has more than ten years of marketing experience. She is a graduate of Ball State University and holds degrees in public relations and marketing. She lives in Indiana with her husband, daughter, and spunky Golden Retriever. Prairie Wild Flowers

Here are a few pictures our youngest daughter captured of Prairie Wild Flowers. Identifying is sometimes difficult. If you can help me with any of these or see a mistake, please let me know. Here are a few of my favorites.
 Sensitive Briar (Mimosa quadrivalvis)
 Pasture Rose (Rosa carolina)
Common Spiderwort (Tradescantia obiensis)
Showy Evening Primrose (Oenothera speciosa)
Need help with this one.
Daisy Fleabane (Erigeron strigosus)
Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata) There were also some like this that were white.
Guessing on this one - Prairie Larkspur (Delphinium carolinianum) or Foxglove Beard Tongue (Penstemon digitalis)
Rose Vervain (Glandularia canadensis)
Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea)
Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa)

Book Preview ~ Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Crazy Little Thing Called Love, by Beth Vogt

Wedding bells and storm clouds collide in the first engaging novel in a brand-new series about destination weddings, the power of love, and the possible mishaps and missteps that happen on a couple’s journey down the aisle to “I do.”

Paramedic Vanessa Hollister has put her adolescence behind her, including the unwanted label of being the new kid in town over and over again, thanks to her father’s military career. She’s overcome what her mother called “the biggest mistake of her life” and is planning an elegant destination wedding in Destin, Florida with her new fiancé. But will the reappearance of her first husband from her what-were-you-thinking teenage elopement disrupt her dream of an idyllic beach wedding?

As a professional storm chaser, Logan Hollister is used to taking risks. However, a reckless decision during the last tornado season has him questioning the future of his team, the Stormmeisters. Coming face to face with his ex-wife eight years after their divorce compels him to confront his greatest regret: losing Vanessa. Does their past give him the right to interfere with her future?

A fast-moving, powerful hurricane throws Vanessa and Logan together as they evacuate to a storm shelter along with other residents of the Florida Gulf Coast. Forced to spend time together, the pair battles unexpected renewed feelings for each other.

Vanessa and Logan are faced with a choice: Should they accept, once and for all, their teenage marital mistake? Or is God offering them a second chance at happily ever after? Purchase the book HERE.

Beth K. Vogt is a nonfiction author and editor who said she’d never write fiction. She’s the wife of an air force physician who said she’d never marry a doctor—or anyone in the military.
