FF~ Comedic Guys Who Make My Day
You know, at the very least, once a week I have to rely on Netflix to brighten my day. Lately I've become a bit of a stand-up junkie. So here are the top five guys who make me laugh. Click on the picture to be whisked away to their websites. Just a word of warning… if little ones are around or you are sensitive to language or certain subject matters, don't watch the videos on the sites. Some of these guys can be a little much for some people.
2. Daniel Tosh
3. Arj Barker
4. Bo Burnham
5. Aries Spears
Who are some of your favorite comedic guys? Could always add more to my list so share! Also don't forget to check out the Friday Five posts from my fellow critters!

A Return To Hotness~
Yes, this is for my close friends, the darling T. She complained about not getting the Hottie post in her inbox on Wednesdays. So now we have the return of hotness thanks to her. She even had a request. This one is all for my T.
Enjoy little Taylor Kitsch from Friday Night Lights fame to get you through the rest of the week. Got suggestions for who you'd like to see on future Hottie days… just give a shout out and I will consider them.

Something More~
I found this song by Secondhand Serenade on youtube while looking for something that screamed Music Monday. This fit the bill. So have at it and may it inspire you as it has me.
Now tell me what are you fighting for? If you aren't living the life you dream of, what are you doing to get there? Please share!

FF~ Movies That Got Me Through My Teens
Okay, I read a post recently on a blog called Totally 4 YA. The post was titled Everything Important in Life, I Learned from Watching Star Wars. It got me thinking about how many movies I'd watched over the years and more specifically, which ones I found to be my go to movies because of how they made life seem manageable, especially in the teen years. So, being a bit of a movie buff…mostly older movies, lets take a peak at what made my top five shall we?
1. Pretty in Pink ~The laughter. The lovers. The friends. The fights. The talk. The hurt. The jealousy. The passion. The pressure. The real world.
2. The Breakfast Club ~ They were five total strangers, with nothing in common, meeting for the first time. A brain, a beauty, a jock, a rebel and a recluse. Before the day was over, they broke the rules. Bared their souls. And touched each other in a way they never dreamed possible.
3. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ~ Getting into trouble is easy but getting out of it is all the fun!
4. Grease ~ is the Word!
5. Sixteen Candles ~ It's the time of your life that may last a lifetime.
There you have it! The top five movies that made the teenage years a bit more bearable. What were your top 'teen' movies? And after commenting, don't forget to visit my other Friday Five partners in crime!

Give A Little More
I heart Alex Levine. He's just nice eye candy no matter how you slice it. The tats definitely add to the appeal for sure, though you can see them better in other videos. Not a bad way to kick off a week in my opinion. So here we are…the beginning of another week. While I am on a field trip with Zombie twin number two, enjoy a little music courtesy of Maroon 5. More importantly, go out there and tackle your week head on. Oh and don't forget to give a little more…

FF~ Rules of Attraction
Oh I had a difficult time coming up with this Friday five. I don't know why. Perhaps it was my anxiety attack over my sons ear infection and doctor's visit. Could have been the headache that wouldn't go away. Whatever. It's resolved now. Well the topic of the Friday five is anyhow. So lets get to it. Rules of attraction? Better yet I like to think of them as the things in a man that make me swoon. Okay you're right. They are my rules of attraction. Wondering what makes my top five? Let's take a peek.
1. It's all about the eyes
2. A sense of humor is a must. A guy who can make me laugh in the midst of a craptastic day is a guy worth having around.
3. Must be a connoisseur of fine beverages (And if Guinness is on the list, even better)
4. Wears a kilt well *swoon*
5. Makes being hand cuffed and shirtless down right sinful.
Now go visit my partners in crime and have a little fun with the Friday Five!

FF~ Favorite Non-Writing Hobbies
Yep, it's that time again. Another round of Friday Five is mine for the taking. And boy am I going to have fun with it this week. Let's see… my favorite non-writing hobbies. Yes I do consider writing not only a career but a hobby as well. Why? Well because it's fun. Why are you questioning me?
So what are my favorite hobbies? Well let's take a peek shall we?
1. Photography- I love taking pictures and I am not very particular on what my subjects are. Do I have a favorite in my arsenal? Of course I do.
2. Drawing. I love the feel of putting pencil to paper period. But creating smooth lines and seeing a picture form from those lines is pure bliss. (Unfortunately, the only piece I have is one that was done for my neice and is a recreation of a Disney print so I will not post due to copyrights and so forth.)
3. I fancy myself a baker when time permits and I make a wicked Baileys Irish Creme Cupcake oh and I've even made red velvet cookies which were quite the rave. This is truly an indulgence for me.
4. Reading. Yes you could argue that this related to writing, which it is in a way, but I read because I truly enjoy it. The eReader makes it easier because I can have an unlimited amount of shelf space, however truth be told, I will always buy my absolute favs in hardback if they are available.
5. Movies. Not going to the theater per say, but snuggling up on the couch with my kids and watching something they'd enjoy. Believe it or not, one can never see too much of Shrek if your kids are laughing hysterically beside you.
That's it folks. My Friday five. Is it coincidence that some of these are yet another creative outlet? No. Honestly, people are creative in their own right. Sometimes we just need to explore different avenues to let ourselves shine. What are your favorite hobbies, and if you are a writer, you must stick to my non-writing related formula. Have a great weekend everyone but not before you go visit my fellow Friday Five friends.

Waiting Bites!
I don't know if any of you have seen this trailer but I am dying!!! This is a definite must see in theaters for me. The biggest part will be hoping it doesn't disappoint. You know how it goes. Movie trailers are shown, you anticipate the theater arrival, you pay your hard earned cash, and walk out thinking that hour and a half to two hours is time you can't get back. I am praying this won't be the case because I am all giddy with excitement. If you haven't seen the preview… take a peek.

A Return to Music Monday~
I've been missing the opportunity to share the music that inspires me. I love being able to pop a video up that brings a little spark to my muse. Lights a fire under her little arse and gets her spinning those creative wheels. That being said, we are getting back to the Music Monday post.
Now go read a book that has your favorite hero in it and if you are a writer, might I suggest you go pick up pen and paper or put your hands to keys and start writing. Happy Monday everyone. Go make it a great week.

Zombie Mom
Days like the one I had today are really quite common. I roll out of bed, try to coerce the little hellions, I mean zombie twins, to clean their room. Arguing ensues. Try to make it to coffee pot. Get sidetracked by yelling at little zombies. I snarl. Grumble something that is incoherent. Get coffee brewing while pounding headache rages on.
No coffee in reasonable amount of time from when I leave the bed equals a very unhappy and zombie-like mom. Not the lightening fast ones that you see being depicted in movies today either. More like the original George Romero Night of the Living Dead type zombie. All stiff limbed and groaning. Even my skin lacks that certain glow that a relatively lively mother should have.
Maybe there is a way to avoid the morning zombie state. Perhaps if Starbucks simply mainlined coffee into my veins before I ever left the bed in the morning. You know, a timer goes off, not to unlike programming your coffee pot to start brewing in the morning. This might solve my dilemma. Then I could pop out of bed fresh and fully ready to take on the day. Or am I destined to wake in the zombie state forever? Come on. This is 2011 people, what's a girl gotta do to get a little coffee on demand?!
