Results:
If you scored between 0-5, you want a leading hero that is Normal.
Huh? Normal? What's that? Your leading man will be the type of guy to hold a 9 to 5 job with the American Dream on his agenda. He wants a beautiful home with a white picket fence with 2.5 children. He wants to take a family vacation every year. He is very steady, dependable and safe. Safe? For a novel? :) Maybe...but, the leading lady may be far more captivating than her role counterpart.
If you scored between 6-12, you want a leading hero that is Sensitive.
This leading man will sweep you off your feet! He could fall in love on first sight and he won't be afraid to admit it. He will woo you with poetic words and promises and he will mean them. His love lasts forever. You are the center of his universe and he will do anything for you. His love story will be epic, passionate, dramatic, something worthy of tears that will take your breath away.
If you scored between 13-19, you want a leading hero that is Tortured.
The tortured man will worm straight into a woman's heart every single time. He's the man that will die for you. He will sacrifice whatever it takes to keep you happy. But, there is something within him that needs a woman's cure. It is eating him from the inside out and you just know that you could help him if only he would confess what's in there hurting him so. The tortured hero makes the romance special because only the right woman can break him from his misery. Are you that woman?
If you scored between 20-26, you want a leading hero that is Tough.
The tough guy will act like he's made of stone. He will show little to no emotion because he hides the real him buried very deep. This guy will never lose a fight. He fears nothing. He'll face anything or anyone. The only weakness he has is you. He will do anything to protect you. He is the knight in shining armor ready to defend his lady single handedly against an entire army. If he dies fighting, he will consider it an honorable death as long as he keeps you safe.
If you scored between 27-32, you want a leading hero that is Bad.
The bad boy is as charismatic and alluring as he can be toxic for you. Women are naturally drawn to him...lots of women, but he wants you. You have to keep your guard up with this one. He'll solicit you without pause, and you'll say yes. His charm is potent. Will the bad boy change for you? Maybe. The trick is getting to his heart and landing cupid's arrow before he gets away. It's a gamble, but he's worth it, don't you think?
Okay, let's have a small contest just for fun. Here's what you need to do. Go to my website at http://www.destinybooze.com and read the blurbs, and/or excerpts for the books I have available. Why not write a poem this month?
April is National Poetry Month. Want to try your hand at a poem? Go for it! I would love to read it. You can send it to me at destinybooze@gmail.com.
Please, Say Please
By: Destiny Booze
A bump on the arm by a busy passerby,
Never looked back and I sigh,
Would a simple excuse me really hurt?
Has it become normal to be so curt?
Perhaps he didn’t feel the bang of our collision,
Or couldn’t stray from some mission.
Time is usually of the essence,
And tardiness, though common, results in penance.
Manners are rarer these days, it seems,
As individuals take the honor, and not the team.
Is family a word of lesser importance?
Will success become greater than accordance?
I want to hear please and thank you,
An excuse me, or a how do you do.
Please, say please and thank you,
If not for me, then for you.
Also, here is an introductory poem to my current Work in Progress:
Accelerating Circumstances
In a moment of blindness,
She said yes.
Anticipation left her breathless.
That he was a stranger,
Added to the danger.
Excitement outweighed any wager.
With no thought or plan,
She went with the man.
Exhilaration heightened the night inside the van.
When they came to a stop,
He got on top.
Arousal masked the gun’s sudden pop.
Every thrust - a release of hate,
Coupling with a lifeless mate.
Disappointment was the murder, not perfect, not great.
Why did she have to die?
Her husband and son will later cry,
For a wife and mother that went goodbye.
The stakes accelerate for each kill,
Striving for the lust of that first thrill.
The disappointment and rage never-ending, until…

Looking for those that just plain love to read...
Here's an opportunity for you. I'm willing to giveaway a free .pdf copy of ALTERED BEGINNINGS or PREDETERMINED ENDINGS to any reader out there that is willing to post a rating or review for the book, especially on Amazon, but anywhere is fine, including Goodreads or Shelfari. I'm not looking for a professional review here. Just a few lines to express your honest thoughts or feelings about the book would be soooooooo appreciated.
I'm simply looking for lots of feedback. I'm writing book 3 now and I want it to be the very best thing I've ever written!
Email me if you're interested at destinybooze@gmail.com.
I hope to hear from an overwhelming response of people!
Here's the blurb to the books:
ALTERED BEGINNINGS
Destiny Booze
The headline in the small town newspaper read Young Woman Missing, Presumed Dead or Worse.
Leigh Lawson returned to Nags Head, North Carolina after four years with a huge shock. That big and bold headline was about her! Everyone thought she was dead!
The truth was that she was doing well. While gone, she had gotten clean from drugs and worked hard to get her bachelor’s degree in engineering. With her life back on track, she returns home in hope that she will receive a warm welcome. Instead, she gets the townsfolks' disdain.
Everyone hates her, everyone except Jason Altarez, an ambitious and resilient reporter with his sights locked on Leigh. He chases her with oozing charm and romance, but does he really want her or is he after his next story?
Leigh’s life soon spirals out of control when the police recruit her for an undercover assignment. They want her to go back to the life of her troubled teenage years, back into the drugs, and help them to bring the local drug supplier to conviction. It may be Leigh’s only chance to redeem herself with her family and friends. If she can complete this one assignment, the town will forgive her. The only problem is that she needs to figure out how to stay alive in the process…
Jason is her continuous partner through it all, proving his dedication to her as he struggles to keep her safe. Leigh wants to believe he is a man of his word. She wants to believe that her heart isn’t completely foolish for falling for him, especially when she discovers evidence that Jason may be working for the very drug dealer that Leigh is trying to have arrested. Will he betray her in the end or will he demonstrate the most romantic notion of all – that love at first sight truly exists?
PREDETERMINED ENDINGS
Destiny Booze
Angelica Chappell’s story makes huge headlines. Only a few months ago, she released a new pharmaceutical drug called Krytonix that effectively slows the spread of cancer cells. She has no idea her story will attract the attention of a serial killer. Suddenly, she is a target whether she realizes it or not. This killer is interested in more than her life. He wants her reputation, too. His first mission is to sabotage Krytonix.
William Pierce worked undercover for the FBI for five years to bring down a ruthless mobster that he ultimately is forced to kill. Two months passes by since that assignment. Still, William saw things he couldn’t talk about. He did things he couldn’t talk about. He believes his soul is damned. Returning to “normal” everyday life isn’t an option. He isn’t the same man he used to be. He refuses to return to FBI headquarters. He becomes a rogue agent with an agenda.
These two characters literally collide when Pierce's agenda leads him to Chappell. It will take both of them to keep Angelica alive and to figure out who is trying to kill her. William soon finds himself developing feelings for Angelica. Too bad for her killer, William worked as a trained killer for the mob. Will he find her killer and hand him over to the legal system to see that justice is served or will he search and destroy?

Hilarious Story About My Husband
My dear lovable husband is challenged by today's technology. He's getting a bit more knowledgeable every single day, but our six-year old son has already far surpassed my husband's understanding of today's electronics. Just this weekend, the hubby had me chuckling so hard that my sides were in stitches over his cell phone.
First, let me thank my husband for allowing us all to share a good laugh at his expense. (Love you, Kevin!)
Here's what happened. He wanted to send a friend of ours a funny text that he'd received. He just recently got involved in texting and I think it's growing into a fast addiction. Well, he wasn't quite sure how to forward it.
Being the helpful wife that I am, I tried to tell him step-by-step how to forward a text. To my surprise, he said, "I know how to forward the text."
Honestly, I was shocked he knew that much. So, I asked what the problem was. He said, "The problem is I haven't added that person to my text contacts."
Yes, it is true. My dear lovable husband did not know that there is only one list of contacts in his phone. The phone number list and the text list would indeed be one in the same.
Oh my gosh, I love that man! God Bless Him!

Feelings Come and Go
I've started a new lesson with my son. Just because he feels a certain way, doesn't mean he has to act a certain way. If he's angry, may he throw a temper tantrum? No. If he's bored, may he ignore his teacher? Absolutely not.
He can choose to do what is right even if he doesn't feel like it.
This is a lesson I need to hear as well. Raising my son has made me want to be the best kind of person I can be. To do that, I have to be in control of my emotions, right?
That doesn't mean I'll stop having them. What I think it means is that I won't let them control me. I want to do the right thing. Feelings come and go. Decisions, on the other hand, can have consequences that last forever. Do I want to make choices based on a flighty feeling? I think not.
Let's choose how we want to act based on truths and facts, not feelings. Let's choose to do what is right. Let's make that choice every single day.

4 Books (Review) for Altered Beginnings by LASR
4 out of 5 Books by Long and Short Reviews
Altered Beginnings by Destiny Booze
Publisher: Whimsical Publications
Genre: Action/Adventure, Contemporary, Suspense/Mystery
Length: Full (234 pages)
Heat: Spicy
Rating: 4 Books
Reviewed by Queen Anne’s Lace
The story first introduces us to Leigh Lawson, our heroine, who survived a traumatic childhood and difficult teenage years ending with her being kicked out of her foster parent’s house. But come home, clean and with a college degree, only to find out everything thinks she's dead (or "worse").
Then enters our hero. Jason Altarez is present by her side through the story, proving his dedication to her as he struggles to keep her safe. He is a man of his word... or is he?
Ms. Booze has written a provocative story here. It grabs the reader from page one and keeps them reading through the end. The grammar and technical writing is spot on, keeping the reader in the story and not distracting from the action.
Many suspense novels have the problem of not being complex enough, or too easy to figure out before the end of the story. Altered Beginnings does not fall into this category. The suspense level stayed high and offered a satisfying conclusion. Also, the atmosphere added so much to the level of suspense in the story. Ms. Booze used this well to her advantage.
Altered Beginnings begins strong and keeps the reader until the end, delivering a satisfying conclusion. Don’t miss out on this wonderful story. A+ job, Ms. Booze.

He is a man of his word... or is he?
