Fortnite finally available on the Google Play store!

Although it’s taken late into Season 2 of Chapter 2, Fortnite is now available for all capable (read: reasonably high-end) Android devices via the Google Play store. Previously, on the Android side, it was only available on select devices and only through a somewhat cumbersome method.

One of my Android devices, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, which is registered as a “samsung SM-T720” on the Google Play store is compatible. I already have Fortnite installed on various PCs, Xbox Ones, PS4s, Switch’s, the iPhone, and the iPad Pro, so it’s nice that there’s another option. Although my preferred play method is still mouse and keyboard, the touch options are surprisingly not that bad, nor is use of the gamepad.

Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 3 pushed back to June

In a new blog post, The Fortnite Team at Epic announced that Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 2, which was scheduled to end on April 30th, will last until June 3rd. On June 4th, Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 3, is expected to finally launch, which would make it the second-longest time between seasons. Of course, the longest time between seasons, 4 months, was pretty recent, with Fortnite Chapter 2 – Seasons 1 and 2.

Personally, I’ve been enjoying Fortnite Chapter 2 quite a bit, and particularly its Season 2. I’ve not only had time to organically max my Battle Pass for the first time ever, but my oldest daughter has also been joining in on the fun. We’ve had time to play various modes together here and there, which has been a blast.
