Review: Hercule Poirot's Christmas

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
My first Agatha Christie. I guessed one of the not-who-he-appears-to-be. But I didn't know whodunnit or howdunnit. Very fun read.

Review: Power Thoughts

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This really helped me. I started reading it after my father died and I lost my mother before I finished it. Meyer is really good at helping you feel more self-esteem and happiness.

Review: Being Familiar With A Witch

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I knew nothing about the behind the scenes goings on in the arena of witchcraft before I read this book. Ms. Phelan walked me through it logically, right into Revolutionary Virginia. Lots of action, deep point of view and very explicit explicitness. Great to read in one sitting.

Review: Live to Tell

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another fantastically entertaing Detective D.D. novel. It really opened my mind and my heart to mentally and emotionally challenged children and their exhausted and traumatized familes. Thanks to authors like Lisa Gardner and Tess Gerritsen, I'm getting so much better at being brave enough to read about sensative taboo subjects.

Review: Vampire Island

I was enthralled from the first page. A 17-year-old girl is suddenly orphaned and whisked off to a secret island in the Bahamas. Vampire Island. Where of course, her uncle is a bit scary and strange things are outside her castle window. This is a must read for every red-blooded soul out there who loves a little twist to her nights. Bravo!
