FROSTBORN: THE FALSE KING now in audio, mostly!
I am pleased to report that FROSTBORN: THE FALSE KING is now available in audiobook, as excellently narrated by Brad Wills.
Right now, it’s just on Audible for some reason. I know it’s on Audible because I’ve already gotten some emails from listeners asking who this new “Third” character is.

a painful admission
The cover for WRAITHSHARD: PYRE & FORGE was the first cover I did in Photoshop CC instead of the GIMP, and while it really, really, really, really pains me to admit this, Photoshop is better than GIMP.
There’s nothing wrong with GIMP. But Photoshop is better at a lot of things, and numerous techniques take like half as many steps in Photoshop as they do in GIMP.
This is vexing to admit because Adobe software has been causing me problems for a long time, going all the way back to the first versions of Adobe Reader back in the 1990s. In fact, I’ve had problems with Adobe software in the 1990s, the 2000s, the 2010s, and the 2020s, which means I can say I’ve had problems with Adobe software across the span of four decades!

Skyrim Progress Update
I am continuing my effort to finally beat the main quest of Skyrim.
After nine years, I finally finished the Thalmor Embassy quest. Malborn got killed by the frost troll. Small loss – he complained, like, a lot.
I did divert from the main quest long enough to do two side quests – I looted enough dungeons to buy the Whiterun house so I could have a place to store alchemy components, and I did the Azura quest to get Azura’s Star for enchanted item reloading.
Now to continue the main quest. Time to find Esbern in the Riften sewers!

20 Years Of Demonsouled
It is August 2020, and I’m working on WRAITHSHARD: PYRE & FORGE today, writing a scene with Mazael. I realized that I started writing DEMONSOULED, the very first book, back in August of 2000. So twenty years ago I was writing a scene with the same character.
Man, that’s a long time! I’m very grateful I still get to do this – thanks for reading, everyone!
DEMONSOULED is also in Amazon Prime Reading at the moment, so that and the 20 year mark seems like a good time for yet another new cover for the book!

WRAITHSHARD: PYRE & FORGE update
I have to admit that progress on WRAITHSHARD: PYRE & FORGE hasn’t been as fast as I might like.
But! Yesterday I wrote 10,100 words of PYRE & FORGE, which was my 17th 10k word day of 2020.
I’m also 5500 words into GHOST IN THE VISION.
