? Questions Of Olympic Proportion ?

How can we expect, even demand, that the Russians provide suitable housing and toilets for the Sochi Olympics, when we do not even require our own government to honestly deal with significantly more pressing issues?

Madison Square Garden can seat 20,000 people for a concert. This blog was viewed about 64,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Madison Square Garden, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Treason cum Revolution begat Coup
by William Duncan (Off the Grid in Minneapolis)

Article III, Section 3, of the US Constitution, suggests a limited definition of treason:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.
Conventional thought would have it, this implies actual assist, of a clear enemy, such as giving him money, sustenance or protection, in a time of war, against the United States of America; or, directly as a citizen waging war with an enemy, against us. We think in terms of the young disillusioned kid who gives up his middle class life to go to East Africa, to fight for Islamic fundamentalists, al Qaida and associates.

“Peace Frog” – The Doors
by the heretick
Jim Morrison’s words stand now for the common man, for the great masses of humanity steamrolled by the juggernaut of industrial society; but “steamroll” is such a concrete word, it does little to describe the psychic reality, evoking as it does a concrete physical state. I would like to speak here of something much more ethereal, more delicate, yet more powerful, what some have dubbed the hyperreal, but could more accurately be called the irreal.

I am a sick man… I am a spiteful man. I am an unattractive man… I used to be in the government service, but am no longer. I was a spiteful official. I was rude and took pleasure in being so…When petitioners used to come for information to the table at which I sat, I used to grind my teeth at them, and felt intense enjoyment when I succeeded in making anybody unhappy. My friends and fellow travelers,
It’s a few days earlier than expected. Consider it a New Year’s surprise. I give you the campaign to create a screenplay for Veronika: The Siberian’s Tale. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the links to the folks we have already involved in the process. Please consider even a small pledge… Everything helps. I already have significant commitments from a Russian source, and of course, I’ll be adding my own monies into the mix. But, I cannot do this alone. Let’s share the adventure together. Click the image of Teletskoe Lake above or the Grifon Amulet below to read the campaign. Thank you all in advance for the support. Sandy (kC)
