My Hobby Farm Blog

Good morning, Blog Buds!  I started a private blog a while ago in anticipation of buying our first home and starting a hobby farm there.  I'm working on the blog right now and sorting out the new Master Schedule for the next few months.  Next week, I'll be editing Valentine's Day in the Hardware Store Parking Lot and on January 1st I start writing the next novel in the Ophelia Dawson series.  Once that starts, it's all a juggling game!  But, right now, I can just have fun, which is the great thing about Christmas vacation.  If you want to check out the new blog, just hop on over-

Gift Books for Adults - Historicals

NEFERTITI by Michelle Moran.  Hands down, my absolute favorie regular Historical.  Good for YA too, as Nefertiti and her sister (the narrator of this First Person story) are very young for most of the book.

THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak   World War II in occupied Europe, haunting narritive, terrifyingly beautiful.  It's shelved in Young Adult too.

For readers who want a little kick, these Historical Romance authors are sure to light the fire.

Michelle Willingham

Linda Lael Miller

Remember, if you can't find these particular books, chances are good the authors' other books will make the readers happy too.
