All Hallow's Read

Neil Gaiman (Should I even bother listing some biographical tidbits about Neil on the rare chance that you've been existing like lichen under a rock for twenty years and have never heard of him?) has come up with a fabulous concept, one that I hope becomes a Halloween tradition. It is called All Hallow's Read.
Neil's concept is a simple one: this Halloween, give someone a scary book. That's it. You can see an amusing explanation of it here.
Personally, I will be buying books for my kids, and also waiting for that one trick-or-treater who may just want to live in The October Country as badly as I did.
Bradbury as a Halloween treat seems perfectly apt, doesn't it?

Spookatorium

The good Prof. Gruntsplatter has resurrected his podcast, Spookatorium. I am proud to announce that I am featured in the newest episode, which can be heard here.
I share my thoughts on my story "In the Shadow of the Nodding God" and read a vignette entitled "Notes on the Aztec Death Whistle."
Enjoy, friends.

The Unholy Three

The fine folks at ChiZine Publications delighted me by extending an invitation to participate in their excellent reading series.

On Wednesday, August 10th I, along with two other of Toronto's Young Turks of Terror, Ian Rogers and Simon Strantzas, shall be reading at the Augusta House (152 Augusta Avenue) in Toronto.

I hope you can join us for what is sure to be a memorable evening of food, fellowship and fear.

Back on the Rack...

The fine folks at Black Abyss interviewed me as part of their ongoing Inquisition series. Thumbscrews and Strappado were optional, but I chose them both, natch.

My interview can be read here.
