Signed Book Plates
As I announced on my other social networking sites, I'm currently offering to send signed book plates if you preorder LOVE LIES BENEATH (adult, out July 21) or TRAFFICK (the YA sequel to TRICKS, out November 3). OR if you buy them when they come out. I'll honor this offer whenever I receive your request. If you've already pre-ordered, that's fine.
Send a copy of your receipt or confirmation to ellenhopkins@charter.net or mail to me at PO Box 2205, Carson City NV 89702. I will need the name to personalize it to, if it isn't you, plus a mailing address. E-book is okay, too.

Great Carson City Lit Fest
Wanted to let you book lovers know about the Great Carson City Lit Fest, the weekend of June 6-8 in Mills Park, Carson City. More than 50 authors will read, give panel discussions and sign books for you, including some NY Times Bestselling authors like Barry Eisler (thrillers), Victoria Laurie (romance), A.S. King, Andre Smith, John Corey Whaley and Ellen Hopkins (YA), etc., etc.
Please join us for this celebration of the arts, with the focus on books, authors and literacy. Most events are free and open to the public. Ticketed events include a world class poetry slam and two performances of the stage adaptation of Hopkins' CRANK. All proceeds benefit Ventana Sierra, a nonprofit helping at-risk youth into safe housing and college.
If you live close, come, and bring your friends. If you live within driving distance, ROAD TRIP!

Deleted Previous Posts
Hi everyone. You'll notice I've deleted all my previous blog posts. You won't find them here any more because I'm not sure how Amazon might decide to use them. I won't be stopping in as often, unfortunately, as I'm uncomfortable with Amazon's ownership of Goodreads, Shelfari and other book review sites. You can always find me on other social networking sites. I realize they are information gathering monsters, too. But I don't believe a book clearinghouse should have a monopoly on book review sites. That is all kinds of wrong.
