Thank You Time
Back home after a week-plus of many miles and it's one of those times after a blur of people in different cities and states that I am struck by how every single person – the woman helping unpack books, the student picking me up at the hotel, the professor yielding class time for my stories, the people blocking their calendars and arranging their evening to join me and/or the band, the band itself (they carve out large chunks of their personal and professional time in order to ramble with...

About Them Long Beds
If you came to the show tonight/last night and were looking for more info on Michael Perry and the Long Beds music, you can find it here. Headwinded is our one and only album, but we were just in the studio recording another album scheduled for release in March, 2010. If you'd like to be notified when that happens (or when the Long Beds are playing near you), sign up here.
And thanks for listening.
In Madison Today/Tonight

Madison is a fabulous book and music town…we're excited about this.
All the red hot details can be found right here.
And yesterday I talked to...

Guy From Right Down (Up) the Road
Back home from Out West. Thanks Missoula and Deadwood folks. Had a fine time reading, conversing, and playing with the Long Beds. Now it's time to work on the woodshed and chicken coop and move the pigs to the old punkin and potato patches.
Sometimes when I am whanging away on my poor guitar, slamming the pick back and forth in one of the two rhythms I seem to have in me, I wonder what it is to be Greg Gilbertson. He lives right up the road. Fascinating work.
And nary a strum to be found…

Well, Thanks
A nice notice in the Times-Union. That story about Frank makes me snort out loud every time. The author's regular columns are here and germane to the emerging new-rural-whatever-we're-calling-it life.
