Teaser Tuesday
The first SWEETLY Teaser Tuesday. It's rather long, apologies.
Just some quick backstory: SWEETLY is a modernization of Hansel & Gretel. The Fenris werewolves are obsessed with seventeen-year-old Gretchen, so their stepmother throws her and her twin brother, Ansel, out of the house in order to protect her own daughter. After weeks of aimless driving, they decide to go to the beach only to have their car break down in Live Oak, South Carolina.

Shadowed Summer
This is SHADOWED SUMMER:

I have not read it. This is because it, along with a bunch of other books, were sent to my old address, not my new one. This makes me CRAZY LIKE CRAZYSAUCE. I am crazy in such a way because I really, really want to read SHADOWED SUMMER for the following reasons:
1) Saundra wrote it. Saundra is awesome. She's a fellow Deb and runs half the Debs programs, including the Debsness giveaway.
2) It's a ghost story that's set in the south. The south has the coolest ghosts, in my o

Slacker me
Here are the things I do to procrastinate:
1) Look at pictures of dogs I want to adopt and imagine them cuddling with Alcott
2) Email

3) Check twitter
4) Clean things
5) Pretend I'm not procrastinating
That last one is rough because I don't always realize I'm doing it. I think, "I'm not being lazy, I'm on the computer!" But no. I'm on the computer, maybe the manuscript file is even open, but I'm not actually doing anything. I'm just scrolling through it, staring, acc

Weekend of Breaks
PURITY is kind of eating my brain. Listen carefully, and you can hear the nom-ing sounds.
I was zooming along, all easy-like, things going good...then BAM. That plot device I killed? It has reformed, changed, and demands to be re-instated. That's okay, I suppose-- it's not on a deadline or anything-- but man, I hate thinking I'm finished only to realize no, there's another week or more of rewrites/edits to do. I used to think rewriting/tearing books up/replotting/etc. stopped happening after you
